Today on The Robert Scott Bell Show: Live from Miami with Dr. Lewis Arrandt!
RSB is making the rounds in Miami this week, starting at the Wellness Center Clinic for chiropractic care and nutritional guidance. Established in 1978 and recognized as a preeminent provider of Chiropractic care to the South Miami and Kendall areas for over 30 years. We’ll discuss breakthroughs in healing with Balloon Assisted Cranial Manipulation. According to Dr. Michael Stern, Dr. Lew is tops in his field when it comes to this specialized form of healing. RSB is working with him to get healing help for his wife. IF you are interested in working with Dr. Arrandt, call 305-279-0850. If you would like to connect with Dr. Stern, particularly when you are in the Twin Cities, email DrMStern@gmail.com.
A new study by Danish researchers shows non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or NSAIDs, used for pain management may increase the risk of cardiac arrest. NSAID pain relievers are the most common over-the-counter medications used worldwide. NSAIDs have been found to influence platelet aggregation, cause blood clots, cause arteries to constrict, increase fluid retention and raise blood pressure.
I have bone spurs on 3 of the vertebra in my neck.
These bone spurs are pressing on my spinal cord and cause migraines, pain in my shoulder, numbness and tingling in arms/hands, and neck pain that is like a migraine in my neck. Every day, I have some sort of pain.
The only option I’ve been given by traditional Western medicine is surgery to remove the spurs. I don’t want to go this route, because since it involves my spinal cord, there is a risk of paralysis.
Does anyone know of any alternative treatments to dissolve bone spurs that really work?
Thank you in advance. –Jeff
KEY LARGO, Fla. (AP) – Comfortable clothes are emerging as a source of plastic that’s increasingly ending up in the oceans and potentially contaminating seafood, according to Gulf Coast researchers launching a two-year study of microscopic plastics in the waters from south Texas to the Florida Keys.
The project , led by the Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Consortium, will rely partly on volunteers in coastal cleanup events. It also will expand a year’s worth of data collected around Florida that predominantly found microfibers – shreds of plastic even smaller than microbeads flowing down bathroom sinks and shower drains.
Yoga pants, fleece jackets, sweat-wicking athletic wear and other garments made from synthetic materials shed microscopic plastic fibers – called “microfibers” – when laundered. Wastewater systems flush the microfibers into natural waterways, eventually reaching the sea.

Prescription drug therapy has been a major contributor to the soaring rates of serious, disabling or fatal injuries, according to a 2011 study published in the British Journal of Medicine. Data from the Institute for Safe Medication Practices showed that anticoagulants dabigatran and warfarin were the most frequently identified medications that were reported to the FDA, suggesting that treatments designed to inhibit blood clots top the health risk index among prescription drugs. Nine other drugs were also shown to meet five criteria for clinically-relevant injuries associated with drugs.
In March 2015, science teacher Timothy Sullivan approached public health nurses administering vaccines to high school students at his school in Waterford, Ontario, Canada and asked whether they had appropriately informed the students about the potential risks of the shots they were giving. He noted that the teenagers were required to give informed consent and the nurses, therefore, had the obligation to make sure they were fully informed.
434,000 physicians ― more than half the doctors in the U.S. ― in a newly formed medical consortium warning the public about the effects climate change is already having on health. The Consortium on Climate & Health includes a dozen top medical associations covering fields ranging from allergies and asthma to internal medicine to psychiatry. In one of its first moves, the nonprofit coalition plans to lobby governors, mayors, manufacturers, Fortune 500 chief executives, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Trump administration to invest in renewable energy and slash greenhouse gas emissions.
A little-noticed bill moving through Congress would allow companies to require employees to undergo genetic testing or risk paying a penalty of thousands of dollars, and would let employers see that genetic and other health information. Giving employers such power is now prohibited by legislation including the 2008 genetic privacy and nondiscrimination law known as GINA. The new bill gets around that landmark law by stating explicitly that GINA and other protections do not apply when genetic tests are part of a “workplace wellness” program.
