Dear Robert Scott Bell,

I first heard of you on the Peter Schiff radio show this week. I have a desperate question/concern and I hope you can provide me with some insight.

A member of my family is addicted to opium. He developed his addiction from taking the prescription medication Oxycontin. When he could no long afford the prescription brand drug, he turned to the black market. Today he is currently enrolled an outpatient facility. Everyday he has to go to the clinic and take a dose of burprenorphine. If he does not get his daily dose of opium, he has severe physical reactions and has to by stabilized in the emergency room. As you can see, this addiction is completely life altering. I have no faith in the prescription drug industry to help him overcome this disorder. Do you have any recommendations?

He has been doing a lot of research on his own and he found information on iboga, which is widely used around the world to treat heroin addictions, but it is illegal in the United States. We have considering sending him to Mexico to get treatment, but we don’t money is a big factor in this.

She eats well and we have tried everything. Now the doctor is saying it’s mandatory that she take Accutane to get rid of the acne or she will be scarred for life. Either that or a drug called Spironolactone, which is designed to lower blood pressure. She is very health conscious but afraid of being scarred for life on her face.
