The WHO Is a Real and Present Danger Our governments intend to transfer decisions over our health, families, and societal freedoms to the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), whenever he or she declares it necessary. The success of this transfer of power depends on public ignorance of its implications, and of the nature of the WHO itself and its recent pandemic policy reversals. When the public understands, then its leaders are more likely to act in their interests rather than against them. In late 2019, the WHO issued new recommendations for pandemic influenza. Influenza spreads by the same mechanism as Covid-19 (aerosols), with a similar mortality in most people. The WHO stated that it is “not recommended in any circumstances” to undertake contact tracing, quarantine of exposed individuals, entry and exit screening, and border closures. They envisioned that in a severe pandemic it may be necessary to close businesses for up to seven to ten days. The WHO cautioned against strict measures because they would have minimal impact on the spread of an aerosolized respiratory virus while inevitably increasing poverty, especially harming low-income people. Poverty makes people die younger and is a major killer of babies in low-income countries.

The Left’s New Sugar Daddy Alex Soros Had 20 Meetings at Joe Biden’s White House (So Far) Alex Soros, the son and heir apparent to billionaire left-wing philanthropist George Soros, had 20 meetings at President Joe Biden’s White House with Biden administration officials, according to the latest White House visitor logs. According to the visitor logs, the younger Soros has visited the Biden White House 15 times, met with officials 20 times, and attended a state dinner for French President Emmanuel Macron at which President Biden was in attendance. While it is unknown what was discussed in these meetings, the fact that they involve so many national security officials at a time when the Biden administration is heavily focused on the war in Ukraine may offer a clue. Mark Leonard, the director of the European Council on Foreign Relations, which George Soros’ Open Society Foundations (OSF) funds, told the Washington Post that the war in Ukraine is a key focus for the younger Soros. Alex Soros is “in daily contact with the Soros Foundation in Ukraine, talking to different governments about their policy towards Ukraine,” Leonard said. The Post also notes that the OSF “describes itself as the largest independent funder of Ukrainian civil society and citizen groups for more than three decades.” However, Alex Soros’ meetings with Mariana Adame, the advisor to Biden administration Counselor Steve Ricchetti might involve the younger Soros’ interest in the 2024 presidential election. Ricchetti, a longtime Biden loyalist and former K Street lobbyist, was the chairman of Biden’s 2020 campaign and was instrumental in helping Biden secure big campaign contributions from Wall Street financiers.

Judge denies Justice Dept.’s request for a stay of social media injunction A federal judge Monday denied the Biden Justice Department’s request for a stay of a ruling that puts extraordinary limits on government communications with social media companies, rejecting the administration’s argument that the sweeping order could chill law enforcement activity to protect national security interests. U.S. District Judge Terry A. Doughty said that his order creates exceptions for communications related to criminal activity, national security threats, cyberattacks and foreign attempts to interfere in elections, and that the Biden administration did not cite any specific examples of communications included under the injunction “that would provide grave harm to the American people or our democratic processes.” “Although this Preliminary Injunction involves numerous agencies, it is not as broad as it appears,” Doughty, a Trump-appointed judge, wrote in his denial of the stay. “It only prohibits something the Defendants have no legal right to do — contacting social media companies for the purpose of urging, encouraging, pressuring, or inducing in any manner, the removal, deletion, suppression, or reduction of content containing protected free speech posted on social-media platforms.” Civil rights groups, academics and tech industry officials say the order — which places restrictions on more than a dozen health and law enforcement agencies and officials across the federal government — could undermine efforts to address disinformation on social media. They warn that the judge’s injunction could unravel efforts to protect U.S. elections, which were developed after revelations of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

RFK Jr. says he would prosecute Fauci as president if ‘crimes were committed:’ ‘He caused a lot of injury’ Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., said Monday that he would prosecute Dr. Anthony Fauci for his actions during the coronavirus pandemic if he is elected president and his attorney general determined that “crimes were committed.” The Democratic challenger to President Biden made the comment on “Jesse Watters Primetime” during a wide-ranging interview where he was pressed on his conspiratorial views on vaccines, his past claims that the CIA was involved in the assassination of his uncle President John F. Kennedy and the nature of his 2024 challenge to Biden for the Democratic  nomination. Referencing Kennedy’s book “The Real Anthony Fauci, Bill Gates, Big Pharma and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health,” Fox News host Jesse Watters asked the Democrat why he believes Fauci is “the devil” and whether he stands by his earlier pledge to prosecute the former NIAID director as president if he or the National Institutes of Health played a role in the Wuhan lab leak.  “If there were crimes that he committed, of course, I would tell the attorney general to prosecute him, not hold off,” Kennedy replied.

Synthetic human embryo raises ethical issues Scientists have created the synthetic human embryos – using no eggs or sperm – provoking deep ethical questions, according to reports. The synthetic embryos – only days or weeks old – could help researchers study the earliest stages of human development and explain pregnancy loss. Nobody is currently suggesting growing them into a baby. But the rapid progress has outpaced discussions on how they should be dealt with ethically and legally. Prof James Briscoe, from the Francis Crick Institute, said the field needed to “proceed cautiously, carefully and transparently” to avoid a “chilling effect” on the public. The development of human synthetic embryos was announced at the annual meeting of the International Society for Stem Cell Research. Synthetic embryos are also known as “embryo models”, as they resemble embryos, for the purposes of research, rather than being identical to them. The work comes from the laboratories of Prof Magdalena Zernicka-Goetz, from the University of Cambridge and the California Institute of Technology. The full details have yet to be published and made available for scientific scrutiny, leading many researchers to feel unable to comment on the significance of the reports. But the principle is the synthetic embryos are made from a stem cell rather than a fusion of egg and sperm.
