Tuesday, on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
President-elect Donald Trump met with Robert Kennedy Jr., a prominent vaccine skeptic, on Tuesday. According to incoming White House press secretary Sean Spicer, the two discussed “the issues pertaining to vaccines and immunizations.” After the meeting concluded, Kennedy told reporters that Mr. Trump had asked him to “chair a commission on vaccination safety and scientific integrity.” Kennedy said he told Mr. Trump he would chair such a commission, and that their meeting was held at Mr. Trump’s request.
A first-of-its-kind study found that the number of American children consuming low-calorie sweeteners jumped 200 percent from 1999 to 2012. Researchers from George Washington University’s Milken Institute School of Public Health report that about 25 percent of children and more than 41 percent of adults in the United States say they consumed food and beverages containing low-calorie sweeteners during that time span.
my hubby has been told he has high pressure in his eye which will lead to glaucoma. When he gets upset he can feel the pressure in his eye. He tells me that his vision has been worsening in the last 8 months. We have him taking some herbal supplements and Omega 3s, but would appreciate some advice on furthering his program. Can you pass along some wisdom? He’s very worried about his sight as his dad had multiple lens replacements.
Thanks so much!
Hi Dr. Bell,
I would like to become a health coach, though not looking to make money but to lead people in the right direction and motivate them to use natural therapies. What school or online programs do you recommend? I prefer a school I can attend in person and one that stays abreast of all new and improved natural/integrative therapies for all different conditions. I just want this more for knowledge so that I can one day impart to others around me. Thank you
Cramming all your recommended weekly exercise into one or two weekend sessions is enough to produce important health benefits, a study suggests?
Hour 2 ~ The Healing Continues!
1 in 3 women diagnosed with breast cancer had nonthreatening tumors, while number of advanced cases didn’t change. Mammograms frequently detect small breast tumors that might never become life-threatening, causing women to receive treatment they likely don’t need, a new Danish study finds.
Obamacare eliminated the costs and out-of-pocket expenses for Americans wanting preventive health care services — including mammography and colonoscopy, both tests able to detect cancer. Among older Americans, use of mammography increased under Obamacare, according to a study published Monday in the journal Cancer. But another preventive screen test, colonoscopy, didn’t see a similar increase.
Rude parents can rattle medical staff enough to compromise the quality of care their critically ill child receives, a new study suggests. Medical teams in a neonatal intensive care unit made worse decisions during simulated emergency scenarios if they had been treated rudely by an actress playing the role of an angry family member, the researchers found.
Hi Robert and Super Don. Thanks a lot for reading my question, and especially for addressing it to Dr Buttar. He is my favorite.
You are so right about absence of standards in holistic approach, and I could feel that Dr Buttar was confused with the question at first. Probably in the States, chelation is a well-known procedure for integrative doctors, but not in here.
Germany is an extremely conservative country when it comes to medical care. Almost everyone here has an insurance provided by the state that costs little to no money. People like to go to their conventional doctors, and lovingly call them ‘angels in white’.
There are a lot of alternative healers too, but insurance simply doesn’t cover their services.
The whole notion of a holistic approach is very new in modern German society, and considered to be a fashion thing or a privilege of rich people. It sounds ridiculous knowing actually how many German doctors and scientists contributed to development of this approach.
Thanks again for taking your time on the show, and I just can’t get enough of all that information that you are bringing in!
