Pandemic Flu – 1918 vs 2018
Rare type of flu virus is why 2018 outbreak is ‘worst in living memory’ New Scientist
magazine has called 2018 “The Year of the Flu” because this year’s influenza outbreak is showing signs of being the most lethal and severe sincethe 1918 “Great Influenza” pandemic that infected a third of the world’s population and killed between 20 and 50 million people.
California Girl Succumbs To Deadly Infection That Was Misdiagnosed As Flu A girl from California died from a deadly infection after doctors misdiagnosed her of having just the flu, which was the same thing that her family thought. There are cases of death related to seasonal flu, but the unfortunate incident, caused by an entirely different disease, may have been avoided if the girl was able to take the necessary medicine to cure her infection.
Even Fido Is Getting The Flu?
Rise in dog flu cases has pet owners worried Veterinarians and pet owners across the country are
warning dog lovers to get their pooch vaccinated with a newly released drug after an outbreak of the canine influenza, or dog flu, quickly spread throughout most of the country. “It was unreal. It was the worst nightmare that could ever happen,” dog show hobbyist Jodie Strait told Fox News. “I went to a dog show to show my dogs and I almost killed them.”
Questions of The Day!
Hi RSB, I have some questions.
I hope this isn’t one of those “I have a corn here, help!” kind of questions. But, I’ve been taking Beta13dGlucan, Selenium, and Silica quite religiously. The amounts change sometimes, but I try to take at least 6 selenium and 6 silica a day. I also have been taking Innates Iron Response because I have been donating plasma. Lately, I have been experiencing a lot of acid reflux. I was wondering if it could be from the Beta1? Otherwise, I thought I heard Super Don mention last week something about his coffee in the morning starting to irritate him? I drink coffee every morning and its not the good kind so I know I should look for some organic. I don’t like just regular black coffee. I have to have it sugared up. Could this start to cause reflux? I bought some Innate Chromium also but I haven’t tried to incorporate it yet. Does everyone need to take Chromium? I don’t ever get acid reflux so I am just trying to figure out what the heck is causing it because its really starting to bother me. I also bought some of the cangest tea that NAD talks about but I am chicken to try it. What do you think?
My mother has Alzheimer and she is taking Namenda for the last 16 yrs and several other medicines including an antidepresant. She is not doing good at all. I believe she is in the last stage, sleeping more and eating much less of what she usually used to eat.
The best that I have seen her was when she was taking DHEA -once a day, Pregnenolone-once a day, vinpocetine-3x daily and she was doing good. Does the above meds are natural or man made?
any suggestion or/ I want to know if there anything better that you can suggest?
Today’s Moment of Duh!
Cancer patients given fluids live longer Dying cancer patients given fluids will generally live longer, a new study led by researchers from Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Surrey has found. End-of-life patients receiving assisted hydration had a 26 per cent greater survival, which meant that they lived for on average one-and-a-half more days, compared to those who were not receiving such treatment.
Hour 2 – Outside The Box With Ty Bollinger!
It’s time to go Outside The Box again with Ty Bollinger! What will we be talking about today?
Permission Not Required: Constitutional Carry Bill up for Consideration in Nebraska A so-called “Constitutional Carry” bill introduced in the Nebraska legislature would make it legal for most Nebraskans to carry a firearm without a license, and foster an environment hostile to federal gun control. Sen. Tom Brewer (R-43) introduced Legislative Bill 502 (LB502) last year and it will carry over into the 2018 session. The legislation would allow persons 21 or older, and not otherwise prohibited by other laws, to carry concealed weapons without a license. Individuals would be allowed to carry concealed without a permit anyplace license holders can currently carry. The bill also stipulates a number of places where it is illegal to carry a concealed weapon including police stations, courthouses, government meetings and areas primarily dedicated to selling alcoholic beverages for consumption. These restrictions would remain in place under the proposed law.
Why is America ‘the most dangerous of wealthy nations’ for a child to be born into? It’s no
surprise that the United States ranks absolutely last in child mortality among the world’s wealthiest countries — that’s been true for years. A new study examines how this sad situation came to be. According to data from the World Health Organization and the global Human Mortality Database, the problems go all the way back to the 1960s. It was during that decade that the U.S. infant mortality rate (for babies less than a year old) and the U.S. childhood mortality rate (for those between the ages of 1 and 19) began to exceed the combined rates for the other 19 richest nations.
The Anti-Vaccine Movement Shows Why Mainstream Media Is Broken This was written in response to an opinion piece published in the Washington Post entitled “The Anti-Vaccine Movement Shows Why Facebook Is Broken.” I think it’s rather amusing that everyone in the mainstream media and medical community spends so much time (and wastes so much money) trying to analyze why we are the way we are, as opposed to just asking us. The idea that we have some secret network, where we share information and plot to destroy the world (all the while balancing caring for our special-needs children, navigating services, attending IEP meetings, and driving to therapies and medic appointments) is rather funny.
How your gut bacteria may protect you from cancer According to the National Cancer Institute
(NCI),colorectal cancer is the fourth most commoncancer type, after breast, lung, and prostate. In 2017, the NCI estimated 135,430 new cases of this cancer, with more than 50,000 people dying from the disease. The link between the gut bacteria and the risk of colorectal cancer has received more and more attention in recent years. For instance, early last year, Medical News Today reported on a study showing how different diets alter the bacteria in our guts — which, in turn, influences the risk of developing colorectal cancer.
Study shows link between regular attendance at religious services and health and longevity Researchers from the Emory Rollins School of Public Health have published a paper in PLOS ONE that links regular attendance at religious services with improved health and lowered mortality. The researchers conducted an empirical study on data collected 2004-2014 through the University of Michigan’s Health and Retirement Study (HRS), which surveyed social and economic determinants of mortality in middle-aged and older adults, including religious factors.
