A Quarantine For HIV?
GA lawmaker: Can HIV patients be quarantined? A Georgia state representative — who is also an anesthesiologist and the wife of the former federal Health and Human Services secretary — asked at a public hearing Tuesday about the legality of quarantining HIV patients to stop the spread of the virus that causes AIDS. “What are we legally able to do?” Dr. Betty Price, a Republican, asked Dr. Pascale Wortley, director of the HIV/AIDS Epidemiology Surveillance Section at the Georgia Department of Public Health. “I don’t want to say the ‘quarantine’ word, but I guess I just said it. … What would you advise, or are there any methods, legally, that we could do that would curtail the spread?”
Knowingly exposing others to HIV is no longer a felony in California California lawmakers have passed legislation to reduce the penalty for those who knowingly or intentionally expose others to HIV without their knowledge, rolling back a law that mostly affected sex workers. The bill, SB 239, which was approved by the Democrat-controlled state legislature in September and signed into law by Gov. Jerry Brown (D) on Friday, will lower the charges for these acts from a felony to a misdemeanor when the law goes into effect in 2018. The act of knowingly donating HIV-infected blood, also a felony now, will be decriminalized.
Do You Have Food Freedom?
Your path towards Food Freedom: Simple and cheap home gardening innovations Food freedom is a top concern for many people, whether they be natural health enthusiasts, environmentalists, or simply concerned about the hazards of “conventional” farming. There is no better way to beat the system than by growing your own food. Tending to a home garden comes with a wide array of benefits; not only can the practice of gardening be therapeutic and rewarding, it can help bolster your food security and freedom. Additionally, as a home gardener, you can be more in control of how your crops are grown — which means you can avoid the pitfalls of conventionally grown produce, like GMOs, pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers.
Question of The Day!
Hi Robert! I have been using a HydroFlask (a very popular brand sold in health food stores, online, etc) and I thought was safe because it is made out of stainless steel — was safe. It turns out that it is made in China, and there is a large amount of lead in it. So I, along with thousands of other people, have been using this product for sports and now we’re all getting lead poisoning, which you know creates neurological damage and lowered sperm counts, among other things.
I threw mine away and am back to using my glass bottle which is made in the US. My question is — do you or any of your water expert friends (I have listened to them many times and love them) know of any products to keep our water in for our cars and sports that is safe? Other than glass? You may want to check this out and tell your listeners, who probably didn’t know this information either.
Thank you, Robert and team, for all that you do!
Will We Finally Learn The Truth About JFK?
Trump plans to release JFK assassination documents despite concerns from federal agencies President Trump announced Saturday morning that he planned to release the tens of thousands of never-before-seen documents left in the files related to President John F. Kennedy’s assassination held by the National Archives and Records Administration. “Subject to the receipt of further information, I will be allowing, as President, the long blocked and classified JFK FILES to be opened,”Trump tweeted early Saturday.
Experts have been speculating for weeks about whether Trump would disclose the documents. The 1992 Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act required that the millions of pages, many of them contained in CIA and FBI documents, be published in 25 years — by Thursday. Over the years, the National Archives has released most of the documents, either in full or partially redacted.

Transport company MTR Express, which earlier this year asked readers of Swedish newspaper Metro to vote on a name for the train, said 49 percent of the vote went to “Trainy McTrainface,” making it the top choice.

New study finds HPV vaccine to be safe for adult women Although most human papillomavirus prevention efforts are targeted toward adolescents, a new study found that the HPV vaccine is safe for adult women. While the U.S. Food and Drug Administration originally approved Gardasil, a vaccine against HPV, in 2006 for use with pre-teen and teen girls, and later added approvals for boys, more adult women are opting for vaccination and the safety of the vaccine in adults has not been the subject of many trials.
Patients need rest, not antibiotics, say health officials More patients should be told to go home and rest rather than be given antibiotics, according to health officials. Public Health England (PHE) says up to a fifth of antibiotic prescriptions are unnecessary as many illnesses get better on their own. Overusing the drugs is making infections harder to treat by creating drug-resistant superbugs. PHE says patients have “a part to play” in stopping the rise of infections.
