Tuesday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
Think We Are Overspending?
Alzheimer’s Costs Reach $277 Billion The cost of providing care for Americans with Alzheimer’s
disease has hit $277 billion – eclipsing a quarter of a trillion dollars – as baby boomers age and the U.S. healthcare system struggles to find people to care for this fast-growing population. The annual cost estimate for the deadly disease from the Alzheimer’s Association comes as Republican members of Congress led by U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan consider cutting entitlement programs like Medicaid health coverage for poor Americans and Medicare health insurance for the elderly.
Another Epidemic – Bad Cardiovascular Health
More Americans at risk for heart attack and stroke, says a new study Most U.S. adults have poor cardiovascular health, and more people are at risk for heart attacks and strokes today than was true a generation ago, a U.S. study suggests. While black adults no longer lag behind white people in cardiovascular health as much as they once did, this is because of worsening health among white people rather than gains for blacks, the study also found. For the study, researchers examined nationally representative survey data collected from 1988 to 2014 from U.S. adults aged 25 and older who didn’t have a history of cardiovascular disease. Even among the youngest people in the study, ranging in age from 25 to 44, the proportion of people with optimal heart health never exceeded 40 percent of whites, 25 percent of Mexican-Americans and 15 percent of African-Americans.
Special Guest – Jon Rappoport!
Jon Rappoport has worked as a free-lance investigative reporter for over 30 years. He is the author of three explosive collections, THE MATRIX REVEALED, EXIT FROM THE MATRIX, and POWER OUTSIDE THE MATRIX. He has written articles on politics, health, media, culture and art for LA Weekly, Spin Magazine, Stern, Village Voice, Nexus, CBS Healthwatch, and other newspapers and magazines in the US and Europe. In 1982, the LA Weekly submitted his name for a Pulitzer prize, for his interview with the president of El Salvador University, where the military had taken over the campus.
How about life in prison for doctors who prescribe psychiatric drugs to toddlers? Over the past 25 years, I’ve documented and exposed the horrendous effects of psychiatric drugs. To take this a giant step further, what doctor, in his right mind, would DIAGNOSE a baby, a toddler, a very young child with a mental disorder and then PRESCRIBE one of these drugs? “Your six-month-old baby has clinical depression.” What lunatic would say such a thing? In case you’re a new reader, I’ve firmly established that NO so-called mental disorder is diagnosed on the basis of a defining laboratory test. Not a blood test, not a urine test, not a brain scan, not a genetic assay.
The London police now have a firm definition of thought-crime – And they’re going to use
it “Whether he went on with the diary, or whether he did not go on with it, made no difference. The Thought Police would get him just the same. He had committed—would still have committed, even if he had never set pen to paper—the essential crime that contained all others in itself. Thoughtcrime, they called it. Thoughtcrime was not a thing that could be concealed forever. You might dodge successfully for a while, even for years, but sooner or later they were bound to get you.” (George Orwell, “1984”) Welcome back, George. Things are playing out as you predicted.
So That’s Why…..
Aliens probably don’t want our planet – it’s too polluted The concept of aliens from a distant planet invading Earth is at the core of many a science fiction movie. And there are many people out there who firmly believe both in aliens and their desire to take over our beautiful home. For example, Futurismreported that there are many reasons aliens would invade, including the need to get their hands on something only our planet could provide, a desire to dominate and enslave us, a pre-emptive strike to get us to stop destroying the Earth, the need for a new habitable home, and so on. Nonetheless, while these reasons might theoretically be sound, Global Research recently pointed out that with the Earth likely being the largest garbage dump in the universe, aliens would have to be hard-pressed indeed to set their sights on our planet.
Hour 2 – There No Escape!
Toxins from everyday products are probably in your body – even if you’re diligent about
avoiding them Many of us would be shocked to learn that even the most health-conscious Americans likely have dangerous chemicals circulating through their bodies. While most health-savvy readers are likely aware of the dangers posed by plastic water bottles, fewer know of the dangers associated with canned food, cash register receipts, certain toothpastes, sunscreen, liquid soap, makeup, mothballs, tumble dryer sheets, nail polish or foam-filled furniture, to name a few. Part of the problem is that corporate America has devised insidious tricks to fool consumers into thinking that they are protected. For example, about 10 years ago, evidence started to surface of a dangerous link between bisphenol A (BPA), a chemical found in many hard plastics including baby bottles, and infertility, male impotence, heart disease and certain cancers.
Special Guest – Thalia Michelle
Thalia Michelle is Co-Founder/Director of Advocacy & Policy for MAMMA. Mothers Advocating Medical Marijuana for Autism, or MAMMA, is a grassroots parent advocacy group whose primary goal is the legalization of medical marijuana with autism as a qualifying condition. Over 3 million individuals in the United States have autism but only a small handful have legal access to medical cannabis. The #cannabis4autism campaign is about changing state laws so that our children with autism can have access to this healing plant under a doctors guidance.
Newsweek: “Is Marijuana the World’s Most Effective Treatment for Autism?” On the last
week of February 2018, Newsweek ran an article titled, “Is Marijuana the World’s Most Effective Treatment for Autism?” The question alone was controversial. Medical marijuana for autism directly implies using cannabis on kids. This is a shocking proposal to those who are convinced that using cannabis on kids is heinous and harmful. Another consideration widely held by those who don’t know better is that using cannabis is psychotropic and shouldn’t be used on minors. But almost everyone in that group concerned about exacerbating brain disorders with cannabis are totally fine with the common practice of prescribing synthetic pharmaceuticals such as Ritalin, similar to amphetamine, and dangerous anti-psychotic drugs to young children whose behavior is even just considered socially inappropriate.
