Wednesday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
Bronx mother claims school gave HPV vaccine to son without permission A Bronx mother says her 11-year-old son was given an HPV vaccination without her permission during a routine trip to the school nurse’s office. Roxsanna Gautreax says she was told over the phone by the nurse at The New School for Leadership and the Arts that her son had been accidentally injured and needed ice for his face. When her son came home from school, she noticed a bright green Band-Aid on his arm. The boy then explained that the nurse gave him a shot. “I never gave her permission in that phone conversation,” she says. “Vaccination was never discussed.” The middle school uses nurses from the Morris Heights Health Center, which operates in 20 Bronx schools and serves more than 10,000 students from K-12. Along with the injection, the Bronx mom says her son was also handed a pamphlet on HPV. She claims her son was also asked about depression and the family’s drinking habits – questions Gautreax believes are inappropriate for a sixth grader. She says her son’s school immunizations are up to date and that there was no reason for her child to be given a vaccination shot.
American Medical Association: Let minors override parents’ vaccination refusal Members of the American Medical Association voted this week to support state policies that would allow minors to override their parents’ objections to vaccinations. Moving forward, the AMA will encourage state lawmakers to institute comprehensive vaccine and minor consent policies, according to a news release. The policy recommendation came Monday during the group’s annual meeting in Chicago. This decision comes as the anti-vaccination movement gains strength nationwide and public health officials blame outbreaks in diseases including measles on fewer people getting vaccinated. “The prevalence of unvaccinated pediatric patients is troubling to physicians,” AMA board member Dr. S. Bobby Mukkamala said in the release. “Many children go unvaccinated as anti-vaccine-related messages and advertisements target parents with misinformation. Allowing mature minors to provide informed consent to vaccinations will ensure these patients can access this type of preventive care.” During Monday’s session, the AMA also voted to adopt a plan to bring national attention to violence against the transgender community, especially transgender people of color. The group also encouraged doctors to play a more active role in reporting and preventing human trafficking.
Mouse study finds BPA exposure has transgenerational effects on gene linked to autism Transgenerational bisphenol A (BPA) exposure may contribute to autism, according to a mouse study published in the Endocrine Society’s journal Endocrinology. Endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) are chemicals or mixtures of chemicals that interfere with the way the body’s hormones work. BPA is a common EDC used in plastics and food storage material, and it is already present in most humans’ urine or blood. Animal studies have linked BPA to anxiety, aggression, and poor learning and social interactions. Studies of human populations report associations between BPA and neurobehavioral issues like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and autism. “Exposure of mouse fetuses to BPA disrupts formation of nerve cell connections in the brain, and this is a transgenerational effect,” said the study’s senior author, Emilie F. Rissman, Ph.D., of University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Va. and North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C. “To put this in human terms, if your great grandmother was exposed to BPA during her pregnancy and none of your other relatives ever came into contact with BPA, your brain would still show these effects.”
Question of The Day!
Hello, Dr. Rob
I have a few questions
My mother has small cell lung cancer and extended level
Cisplatin + Etoposide and Cavi protocol received chemotherapy in total 12 cycles
At the same time between two different chemotherapy received Radio Therapy for 10 days
Although cancer is stable in organs such as lungs and liver, an increase is observed in the brain.
How can you give us a suggestion? How should we use colloidal silver water and what should be the ppm value, please tell me alternative treatment options.
I wish healthy days
Comment of The Day!
I wanted to pass along this kratom tidbit: Today at a multi-agency meeting I attend monthly, we had an FDA agent show up, who had never come before (this is a closed meeting, by invitation only and nothing discussed during the meeting is for public consumption. That actually makes it sound like something high-level, which it’s not. lol). Anyway, this agent talked about the FDA’s priorities, and I am here to say, they are CHOMPING AT THE BIT for kratom to get listed by the federal gov’t. and they are going to investigate anyone who is REMOTELY associated with it. I did speak up to defend kratom, but it fell on deaf ears.
Third Of Adults Still Sleep With ‘Comfort Object’ From Childhood, Survey Shows Getting a good night’s sleep is a just as much as challenge as it is a priority for many of us, which is why people often turn to various nighttime “rituals” before and after hitting the sack. A new survey that delves into these common bedtime routines among American adults finds that a third still sleep with a “comfort object” from childhood. The survey of 2,000 adults, commissioned by the sleep-industry experts from Sleepopolis, reveals 34% still snuggle with a stuffed animal, blanket, or other anxiety-reducing item of sentimental value. The finding highlights the importance of ensuring a night of high-quality sleep, which just 27% of respondents say they get on the regular. Forty-one percent of respondents say they can’t fall asleep on time without turning to some sort of ritual before bed
Hour 2 – Outside The Box With Ty Bollinger!
It’s time to go Outside The Box again with Ty Bollinger! What will we be talking about today?
Doctor Fights Back Against Vaccine Gestapo’s Assault on Freedom Last month, San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera announced that he was investigating Dr. Kenneth Stoller for allegedly writing fraudulent medical exemptions for mandatory childhood vaccinations. He followed the announcement with a subpoena asking Dr. Stoller to surrender private patient medical records for any of his patients seeking a medical exemption, citing “state nuisance” laws. Dr. Stoller and his lawyer are fighting back. To fully understand the situation, we must first go back to 2015, when California passed Senate Bill 277 (SB277). Like all states in the U.S., California requires that children receive a number of vaccines in order to attend schools and childcare centers. Various states allow children to be exempted from the mandated vaccines for personal, religious, or medical reasons. SB277 eliminated all but the medical exemption, becoming the third state to do so. The bill was written and championed by State Senator Richard Pan, and only allowed exemptions based on contraindications (a reason for the drug to not be used) and precautions provided by the CDC. Due to public outcry, the bill was amended to give physicians complete and sole discretion to issue medical exemptions.
5 Diseases You Can Avoid by Maintaining a Healthy Gut There is a growing amount of research-based evidence that shows how crucial having a “healthy gut” (meaning a good balance of gut flora) is for your overall health and wellness − including your mental and emotional health. Your gut contains a delicate system of over 100 trillion organisms – fungi, bacteria, yeasts, and other microbes – collectively known as your “microbiota.” Each of these organisms has a purpose within the symbiotic community that is your microbiome. More to the point, NOT having a well functioning microbiome with the microbiota working in harmony can have some distinct health consequences. Depleting the diversity of your microbiota, or allowing specific strains to gain the upper hand, is an imbalance. This is also known as dysbiosis. Everyday things like sucralose, antibiotics, and your diet can adversely affect your gut flora balance. When this system is permitted to get out of balance, the synergy dissipates, and true chaos can occur… wreaking havoc on your body and mind.
Cervical cancer campaigner, 26, insisted on documentary makers filming shocking images of her lying in a coffin after her death – as a warning to other young women to get the HPV vaccine A woman who died from cervical cancer at the age of just 26 insisted on being filmed in her coffin after her death. Laura Brennan, from Ennis, County Clare, was diagnosed with the disease aged 24 in 2016, and became a passionate campaigner for the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, which helps protect young women against cervical cancer. In a bid to draw attention to the cause, Laura allowed a camera crew to document the final weeks of her life – and insisted the producers filmed her body lying in repose in order to highlight the issue. Her hope was that the resulting documentary, Laura Brennan: This Is Me, which is airing on the RTE Player, would encourage young women to seek out the vaccine and prompt concerned parents to vaccinate their daughters. Explaining her reasoning, Laura said in the documentary: ‘It’ll be hard to film when I’m on my deathbed, but if seeing me in that position stops someone from having to be in my position, I will film for as long as that takes.’ She added: ‘What kills me though is that all of this could have been prevented … I am the reality of an un-vaccinated girl.’
Peru declares health emergency over Guillain-Barre outbreak Peru has declared a health emergency in five regions, including Lima, after the deaths of at least four people linked to Guillain-Barre syndrome, an autoimmune disorder that attacks the nervous system. Health Minister Zulema Tomas said Sunday that in addition to the deaths there were currently 206 cases of the disease. “We have an outbreak, there has been a brusque increase” since June 5, Tomas said on state-run TV Peru, adding that health authorities were taking steps to control and contain the disease. While the syndrome is not contagious, a 90-day health emergency was declared because the current cases “have unusual and atypical characteristics that require rapid or immediate initial treatment,” Peru’s Institute of Neurological Sciences said. The precise cause of the disorder is unknown, but most cases develop after a person has been sick with diarrhea or a respiratory infection. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the US says its research suggests that the syndrome is “strongly associated” with the Zika virus, a mosquito-borne illness.
Expert witness: Johnson & Johnson’s role in opioid crisis may be ‘worse’ than Purdue’s One of the nation’s top experts on opioid addiction said Tuesday that Johnson & Johnson’s role in the current epidemic may be even “worse” than that of Purdue Pharma, the maker of OxyContin. Dr. Andrew Kolodny, the co-director of the Opioid Policy Research Collaborative at Brandeis University, made the comments during the 11th day of the historic trial in Oklahoma that is aimed at holding Johnson & Johnson and its subsidiaries responsible for the state’s opioid epidemic. “Until I had an opportunity to review discovery documents,” Kolodny testified, “I really was not aware of how bad Johnson & Johnson was.”
