Certain antibiotics may cause aortic aneurysm, FDA warns The US Food and Drug Administration warnedon Thursday that the benefits of fluoroquinolone antibiotics do not outweigh the risks — which include aortic aneurysm — for certain patients, according to the latest research. The research is based on reports of patient problems and on studies published between 2015 and 2018. Fluoroquinolone antibiotics are often used to treat serious respiratory infections, pneumonia, urinary tract infection, and even plague and exposure to anthrax. They include drugs sold under the names ciprofloxacin (Cipro), gemifloxacin (Factive), levofloxacin (Levaquin), moxifloxacin (Avelox), norfloxacin (Noroxin) and ofloxacin (Floxin). Patients take them orally or through injection. The drugs may cause aortic aneurysm, a bulge in an artery that can grow and burst, causing dangerous or fatal bleeding. Patients most at risk for an aortic aneurysm after taking these antibiotics are the elderly, those with high blood pressure, people who have a history of blockages of the aorta or other blood vessels, and those who have genetic conditions like Marfan syndrome or Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
Does the Gut Microbiome Ever Fully Recover From Antibiotics? Most gut bacteria recover quickly, but there can be long-lasting consequences from taking antibiotics. The changes, however, are not necessarily harmful. The gut microbiome, the roughly 10 trillion to 100 trillion bacteria and other microorganisms that live in the digestive tract, contributes to healthby synthesizing vitamins, metabolizing drugs and fighting pathogens. Anything that disrupts the balance of microorganisms, such as antibiotics, which can kill both “good” and “bad” bacteria, has the potential to cause disease. Data from a 2016 study suggest that exposure to antibiotics in infancy can alter the gut microbiome and weaken the immune response for years to come. Other studies have linked the use of antibiotics in children to an increased lifetime risk of asthma, obesity and inflammatory bowel disease, effects thought to be mediated by the gut microbiome.

PEER-REVIEWED JOURNALS ACTING AS INDUSTRY MOUTHPIECES Johnson and Johnson has been defending against lawsuits spanning over two decades and comprising some 11,700 plaintiffs claiming that the company’s baby powder talc caused their cancers. Emerging company memos, internal reports and other confidential documents from J&J show that from at least 1971 to the early 2000s, the company’s raw talc and finished powders sometimes tested positive for asbestos. Documents also showed efforts to limit, censor and neutralize scientific research on the health effects of talc by the company during that time. A recent Reuters investigation spotlighted a J&J research director in a “strictly confidential” 1975 memo to managers of the baby products division. “Our current posture with respect to the sponsorship of talc safety studies has been to initiate studies only as dictated by confrontation. This philosophy, so far, has allowed us to neutralize or hold in check data already generated by investigators who question the safety of talc.”
Not much has changed since J&J wrote that internal memo, in fact, one could make a compelling argument that much of peer-reviewed science and their respected journals have been captured by industry.
J&J ON THE RUN AFTER HIDING ASBESTOS CONTAMINATION, TARGETING GROUPS WITH CANCER-CAUSING TALC It has been refreshing to see the mainstream media report on a new story showing the high criminality and purposeful abuse of this corporation at the hands of their talc product. It appears for the moment that Johnson & Johnson is involved in a continuous merry-go-round of lawsuits and settlements for their cancer-causing talc. Events have been unfolding over the recent years signaling trouble at J&J with an quickening over the last few weeks as mainstream media has again decided to report on uncomfortable facts concerning J&J. A new Reuters investigation on December 14 again opened the floodgates to well-deserved bad press and profit losses for J&J. Reuters writes: “A Reuters examination of many of those documents, as well as deposition and trial testimony, shows that from at least 1971 to the early 2000s, the company’s raw talc and finished powders sometimes tested positive for small amounts of asbestos, and that company executives, mine managers, scientists, doctors and lawyers fretted over the problem and how to address it while failing to disclose it to regulators or the public. The documents also depict successful efforts to influence U.S. regulators’ plans to limit asbestos in cosmetic talc products and scientific research on the health effects of talc.”
Argentina Creates Mandatory Vaccination Law For Passport, ID, Driver’s License, School & More The Senate approved on Wednesday a law that establishes the obligatory nature and free of vaccination against preventable diseases for all the inhabitants of the country, and stipulates that the complete vaccination card will be required at the time of processing the DNI, passport and driving record , among others. The project was promoted by the Tucuman deputy Pablo Yedlin (Front Justicialista by Tucumán), and will replace the law 22,909, which is in force since 1983. So far, the mandatory vaccination applies only to children and the new project will be made extensive also to adults. The gratuity of the vaccines, in as much, happened in fact, but from now on it will be protected by law.
Vaccingate: first results on the chemical composition profile Infanrix Hexa We describe some points that worry us,we anticipate that when we started these analyzes, from metagenomics to current chemistry, we had so many questions and we were only looking for answers … with the first results we have even more questions and especially concerns ! The quali – quantitative survey of organic compounds is of great importance in the pharmacological field. There are potential safety problems arising from new production processes and from the complex structural and biological characteristics of the products. It follows that in the vaccine were found:
– Chemical contamination from the working process or from cross-contamination with other production lines
– Chemical toxins
– Bacterial peptide toxins
– Insoluble and indigestible macromolecule that reacts to the protein assay, but is not recognized by protein databases.
Hour 2 – Special Guest Chris Barr!
Not A Doc Chris Barr joins us to talk about the Argentina vaccine status tied to passports and how it is related to Real ID 2020 in America. Also, what is the scriptural basis for resistance? He will also talk about fasting and GTF Chromium, Magnesium and anxiety, along with the CBD hemp farm bill discussion! What else? Tune in to find out!
STATEMENT ON SIGNING OF THE 2018 U.S. FARM BILL BY U.S. HEMP ROUNDTABLE GENERAL COUNSEL JONATHAN MILLER The era of hemp prohibition is over. Effective immediately, hemp is permanently deemed a legal agricultural commodity, and popular products such as hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD) can no longer be mistaken as controlled substances, like marijuana. The Drug Enforcement Administration now has no possible claim to interfere with the interstate commerce of hemp products. This should give comfort to federally regulated institutions — banks, merchant services, credit card companies, e-commerce sites and advertising platforms — to engage in commerce with the hemp and hemp product industry. An exciting, emerging, multi-billion-dollar hemp industry is now unleashed, providing economic opportunity to farmers and small businesses all across America. We are deeply grateful to the bi-partisan group of Congressmen who brought us to this historic moment. First and foremost, we thank Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who showed extraordinary leadership in putting the full weight of his influence behind passage of the hemp provisions in the Farm Bill to provide opportunity to Kentucky farmers. We are also grateful to Senators Ron Wyden and Rand Paul for their long-time leadership on the issue, to Rep. Jamie Comer for leading the effort in the House after setting the legalization process in motion as Kentucky’s Agriculture Commissioner; and to Reps. Bob Goodlatte, Earl Blumenauer, Jared Polis, and Thomas Massie for their continuing strong support. Finally, we appreciate the support from farm groups such as the American Farm Bureau Federation and the National Farmers Union, as well as state Agriculture Commissioners, especially Kentucky’s Ryan Quarles.
FDA Asserts Regulatory Authority over Cannabis Derived Products Today, the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 was signed into law. Among other things, this new law changes certain federal authorities relating to the production and marketing of hemp, defined as cannabis (Cannabis sativa L.), and derivatives of cannabis with extremely low (less than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis) concentrations of the psychoactive compound delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). These changes include removing hemp from the Controlled Substances Act, which means that it will no longer be an illegal substance under federal law. Just as important for the FDA and our commitment to protect and promote the public health is what the law didn’t change: Congress explicitly preserved the agency’s current authority to regulate products containing cannabis or cannabis-derived compounds under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act) and section 351 of the Public Health Service Act. In doing so, Congress recognized the agency’s important public health role with respect to all the products it regulates. This allows the FDA to continue enforcing the law to protect patients and the public while also providing potential regulatory pathways for products containing cannabis and cannabis-derived compounds.

GTF Chromium, or Glucose Tolerance Factor Chromium, is the biologically active form of chromium in the body. Other than in the body, GTF chromium is found only in foods. There have been many attempts to isolate or synthesize GTF chromium; none have been successful. It has been proposed that GTF chromium is a complex of chromium, nicotinic acid and possibly the amino acids glycine, cysteine and glutamic acid. GTF chromium works closely with insulin to facilitate the uptake of glucose into cells. In individuals with impaired glucose tolerance, such as those with diabetes, hypoglycemia and obesity, supplementation with GTF chromium, the bioactive form, is of paramount importance. The utilization of GTF chromium from True Active™ FoodState® is further enhanced by the inclusion of the mineral-rich foods rice bran, kelp and dulse.

Rabbit gene turns houseplant into air detoxifier Humble houseplants have long been known to bring benefits that go way beyond brightening a room, and now researchers have given their powers an extra boost, turning a popular species of climber into an air purifier. A team of scientists at the University of Washington in the United States made the golden pothos (Epipremnum aureum) remove toxic gases from the air by inserting a rabbit gene called CYP2E1 into its DNA. The air breathed in homes usually contains more harmful compounds than office or school air, according to the study. “This is the first houseplant that has been transformed to break down toxic compounds in the home,” study author Stuart Strand told CNN via telephone. This gene, which is present in all mammals, makes an enzyme called cytochrome P450 2E1 that breaks down a number of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), many of which are toxic. The enzyme also metabolizes alcohol in the human liver.
Why Medieval Europeans Drank Fossil Squid-Butt Cocktails Archaeologists working at a Medieval site in Poland have found dozens of naturally occurring fossils of ancient squid-like animals buried alongside diseased human skeletons and discarded in household waste. The fossils were likely ground up and sprinkled into liquor to create a literal martini on the rocks that was thought to cure a number of common ailments. In a research paper published recently in the journal World Archaeology, Magdalena Matczak of the University of Liverpool and Wojciech Chudziak of Nicolaus Copernicus University detail their integrative analysis that blends the study of artifacts, human and animal bones, plants, and historical records to understand medical treatment practices in the early Medieval period.
