Wednesday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
Who Are The Real Terrorists?
Meeting the Definition of Terrorism: Big Pharma, Big Oil, and Big Banks Various definitions of terrorism have been proposed in recent years, by organizations such as the FBI, the State Department, Homeland Security, and the ACLU. Some common threads persist throughout the definitions: violence, injury or death, intimidation, intentionality, multiple targets, political motivation. All the criteria are met by pharmaceutical and oil and financial companies. They have all injured and intimidated the American public, and caused people to die, with intentionality shown by their refusal to acknowledge evidence of their misdeeds, and political motives clear in their lobbying efforts, where among all U.S. industries Big Pharma is #1, Big Oil is #5, and Securities/Investment #8.

The Gut Bone’s Connected To The… Heart Bone?
Researchers find gut microbiome plays an important role in atherosclerosis Researchers at Western University and Lawson Health Research Institute have shown a novel relationship between the intestinal microbiome and atherosclerosis, one of the major causes of heart attack and stroke. This was measured as the burden of plaque in the carotid arteries. In order to understand the role that bacteria in the gut may play in atherosclerosis, the researchers examined blood levels of metabolic products of the intestinal microbiome. They studied a total of 316 people from three distinct groups of patients – those with about as much plaque as predicted by traditional risk factors, those who seem to be protected from atherosclerosis because they have high levels of traditional risk factors but normal arteries, and those with unexplained atherosclerosis who don’t have any traditional risk factors but still have high levels of plaque burden. “What we found was that patients with unexplained atherosclerosis had significantly higher blood levels of these toxic metabolites that are produced by the intestinal bacteria,” said Dr. David Spence, professor at Western’s Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry and scientist at Robarts Research Institute. The researchers looked specifically at the metabolites TMAO, p-cresyl sulfate, p-cresyl glucuronide, and phenylacetylglutamine, and measured the build-up of plaque in the arteries using carotid ultrasound.
Questions of The Day!
Question concerning the Law of the Terrain. I hear the term often used on the show and understand the basic concept.
Can you give us the scientific explanation with all the details of what the Law of the Terrain is and then how people can implement it into their lives as a matter of choice.
This comment/question is regarding the April 30 show, hour two with Rasid Buttar. During the hour Dr. Buttar spoke about how he feels selenium is not safe to take in large quantities. You never expanded in the conversation. You have always advocated to using selenium for many ailments. Now you have left me and probably many others confused. My question is, is selenium safe to take in your opinion? You in my view you are sending conflicting messages to your listeners. Please explain the conflict. I understand you have partnered with Dr. Buttar on other ventures so maybe you cannot speak against his views? It would have been refreshing if you would have spoke up and stated your view on selenium.
I have been taking high dose whole food selenium in part because of how you talk about this mineral, in addition to chromium and silica.
Now I wonder if I am in danger.

What’s That Smell?
Rotten durian smell prompts evacuation at Australian university A pungent fruit prompted hundreds of people to evacuate a university library in Australia when the smell was mistaken for a a gas leak. Melbourne’s Metropolitan Fire Brigade said crews were called to a university in the city’s central business district at around 3 p.m. Saturday after the smell of gas was reported in the library. Approximately 500 students and teachers were evacuated by Victoria Police as a precaution while an investigation was launched into the source of the smell, as the building was known to store potentially dangerous chemicals,” the fire brigade said. Following a search firefighters discovered the source of a smell was a rotten durian, which had been left rotting in a cupboard. The durian is a fruit known for its foul smell and is commonly banned from hotel rooms and public transport in southeast Asia. The fruit’s smell spread throughout the building via its air conditioning system, according to the fire brigade. The building was later reopened and the Environment Protection Authority oversaw the removal and storage of the durian.

Boy Scouts to Remove Word ‘Boy’ from Name The Boy Scouts of America announced Wednesday its plan to remove the word “Boy” from its iconic program. According Chief Scout Executive Mike Surbaugh, a new campaign entitled “Scout Me In” aims to push for more inclusiveness in the organization’s ranks. “As we enter a new era for our organization, it is important that all youth can see themselves in Scouting in every way possible,” Saurbaugh said. As reported by USA Today, while the umbrella organization Boy Scouts of America or BSA will keep its name, the Boy Scouts program, aimed at 10 to 17 year olds, will be changed to Scouts BSA in the near future. The Cub Scouts, a program for 7-10 year olds, however, will keep its name due to it already being “gender neutral.”

A third of cancer cases are related to obesity and dietary choices For many, cancer is a scary word associated with complex causes like genetics, exposure to radiation and harmful chemicals, among others. But food and nutrition practitioners, along with other health professionals say that a third of cancer cases are linked to obesity and dietary choices. In a report published in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics‘ special theme issue, the health experts drew their conclusions from studies that looked deeper at the relationship between nutrition, obesity, and cancer prevention, treatment, and survival. A 2016 report by the International Agency for Research on Cancer showed that excess body fat raises the risk for 13 types of cancer. Lead investigator Stephen Hursting of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his colleagues found out that “obesity-associated metabolic perturbations” are emerging as key factors in cancers related to excess weight. Hursting adds that evidence suggests that dietary adjustments, like restricting calories, occasional fasting, a low-fat diet and ketogenic diet may reverse some of the effects of obesity. However, more studies are needed to confirm this.
Radical left-wing group Antifa has its roots in Nazi Germany Many have speculated as to the culprit(s) behind the rise of Antifa, the so-called “anti-fascist” movement that gained widespread prominence almost immediately following the election of Donald Trump as president back on November 8, 2016. Well, look no further than the National Socialist German Workers’ Party, also known as the Nazi Party, which represents the very group after which Antifa was modeled. (See Antifa.news for more coverage of the Antifa group.) With its origins dating back much further than the Democratic Party and George Soros, Antifa operates as a modern-day mirror image of the Nazi Party in Germany – the biggest difference being that the Nazis embraced the preservation of German nationalism, while Antifa is pushing for all national borders to be completely dissolved, including those that uphold the sovereignty of the United States.
Chinese Industry, Government and the Military Are Mining Data Directly from Workers’ Brains China: Factory workers wear caps to monitor their brainwaves to detect emotional spikes such as depression, anxiety or rage. The company says the technology is being used to monitor workflows which can be enhanced by manipulating the frequency and length of break times to reduce mental stress. However, the technology can be abused by companies to control minds and infringe privacy, raising the specter of “thought police”. Government-backed surveillance projects are deploying brain-reading technology to detect changes in emotional states in employees on the production line, the military and at the helm of high-speed trains. On the surface, the production lines at Hangzhou Zhongheng Electric look like any other. Workers outfitted in uniforms staff lines producing sophisticated equipment for telecommunication and other industrial sectors.
