CDC Admits It Never Monitored VAERS for COVID Vaccine Safety Signals In a stunning development, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) last week admitted — despite assurances to the contrary — the agency never analyzed the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) for safety signals for COVID-19 vaccines. The admission was revealed in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request submitted by Children’s Health Defense (CHD). In September 2021, I published an article in The Defender in which I used the CDC’s published methodology to analyze VAERS for safety signals from COVID-19 vaccines. The signals were loud and clear, leading me to wonder “why is nobody listening?” Instead, I should have asked, “Is anybody even looking for them?” After that article was published, I urged CHD’s legal team to submit a FOIA request to the CDC about its VAERS monitoring activities. Since CDC officials stated publicly that “COVID-19 vaccine safety monitoring is the most robust in U.S. history,” I had assumed that at the very least, CDC officials were monitoring VAERS using the methods they described in a briefing document posted on the CDC website in January 2021 (and updated in February 2022, with minor changes).
Pfizer Classified Almost All Severe Adverse Events During COVID Vaccine Trials ‘Not Related to Shots’ The latest release by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine documents reveals numerous instances of participants who sustained severe adverse events during Phase 3 trials. Some of these participants withdrew from the trials, some were dropped and some died. The 80,000-page document cache includes an extensive set of Case Report Forms (CRFs) from Pfizer Phase 3 trials conducted at various locations in the U.S., in addition to other documentation pertaining to participants in Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine trials in the U.S. and worldwide. The FDA on June 1 released the documents, which pertain to the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of the vaccine, as part of a court-ordered disclosure schedule stemming from an expedited Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed in August 2021. Public Health and Medical Professionals for Transparency (PHMPT), a group of doctors and public health professionals, submitted the FOIA request. CRFs show deaths, severe reactions to the vaccines during Phase 3 trials The CRFs included in this month’s documents contain often vague explanations of the specific symptoms experienced by the trial participants.
Half the world’s rivers are full of prescription drugs, study reveals Almost half the world’s rivers are contaminated with over-the-counter and prescription drugs, according to a recent study. Researchers found that this contamination ranges from antibiotics, antidepressants, and painkillers to oral contraceptives, allergy pills, and tranquilizers. A team from the University of York say the river Clyde in Scotland is the most pharmaceutically polluted in the United Kingdom, with epilepsy drug carbamazepine the most common found in nearly 70 percent of British rivers. Out of 54 sampling sites just in the U.K. alone, study authors detected various drugs in 50. The levels are potentially toxic to humans. Fish and other wildlife are also at risk, a situation which endangers local ecosystems. Medications that target hormones, for instance, have induced sex changes in marine animals. The study found more than 43 percent of rivers worldwide displayed “concerning” amounts of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), with 23 exceeding those considered “safe.” The findings come from a study of 1,052 locations in 104 countries across the world, making it the largest analysis of its kind. “With 127 collaborators across 86 institutions worldwide, the Global Monitoring of Pharmaceuticals Project is an excellent example of how the global scientific community can come together to tackle large-scale environmental issues,” says co-leader of the project Dr. John Wilkinson in a university release.
Exposure to any light during sleep linked to obesity, serious health issues, study finds Even dim light can disrupt sleep, raising the risk of serious health issues in older adults, a new study found. “Exposure to any amount of light during the sleep period was correlated with the higher prevalence of diabetes, obesity and hypertension in both older men and women,” senior author Phyllis Zee, chief of sleep medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, told CNN. “People should do their best to avoid or minimize the amount of light they are exposed to during sleep,” she added. A study published earlier this year by Zee and her team examined the role of light in sleep for healthy adults in their 20s. Sleeping for only one night with a dim light, such as a TV set with the sound off, raised the blood sugar and heart rate of the young people during the sleep lab experiment. An elevated heart rate at night has been shown in prior studies to be a risk factor for future heart disease and early death, while higher blood sugar levels are a sign of insulin resistance, which can ultimately lead to type 2 diabetes. The dim light entered the eyelids and disrupted sleep in the young adults despite the fact that participants slept with their eyes closed, Zee said. Yet even that tiny amount of light created a deficit of slow wave and rapid eye movement sleep, the stages of slumber in which most cellular renewal occurs, she said.

Is There Medicine Growing in Your Backyard? Are there medicines in your backyard? Absolutely, but to determine what they are, you first must understand the practice of herbalism. Herbalism is the forerunner to modern pharmaceutical medicine. One of the main principles of it that should be taken to heart was expostulated by Nicholas Culpepper the author of the Materia Medica during the Middle Ages. This book was the first comprehensive guide in Europe to herbal healing. Considered the “father” of modern herbalism, Culpepper wrote the following tenet, a foundational concept to his field: “The herb, taken whole with all of its parts, is more effective than any part on its own or combined with other parts.” As an example, lycopene is an extract that is taken from tomato plants. It has beneficial effects on the heart. While modern scientists have deduced the healing powers of lycopene by itself, they’ve forgotten that in its natural state, it is merely one component part of the tomato. Within a tomato, other chemicals and minerals balance the lycopene, potentiating and making this heart-healthy compound more effective when consumed within a whole tomato rather than in an isolate.

It’s time to go Outside The Box again with Ty Bollinger! What will we be talking about today?
There Is No Basis for the FDA to Authorize Covid Vaccines For Toddlers In a historically embarrassing decision, the FDA recently became the only international regulatory body to authorize the use of mRNA vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer for children aged six months to five years. For the overwhelming majority of young children and toddlers, there is likely no justification or need for this concerning authorization. They are at vanishingly small risk of serious complications from COVID, meaning that the risk-benefit calculation is precarious at best, and potentially negative at worst. It’s also a testament to the disturbingly successful politicization of the US regulatory agencies that essentially no other internationally respected country anywhere on earth has made this bewildering decision. Sweden, for example, has stopped the rollout of the Moderna vaccine for anyone under 30. Not 18. Not 12. Not 5. 30. The United States is now going to be vaccinating children as young as six months old with the same product that Sweden has banned for use in anyone under 30, citing side effects that tilt the risk-benefit numbers.
Parents now to decide if they will get their children vaccinated against COVID-19 Parents, many of them first-time moms and dads, will now have to make the tough decision of whether they will get their babies vaccinated against COVID-19. Just last week, the CDC and FDA authorized emergency use of the COVID-19 vaccine for kids as young as 6 months old. Parents can choose either three doses of the Pfizer vaccine or two doses of the Moderna shot. Though, a recent Kaiser Health poll found that just 1 in 5 parents say they will get their kids vaccinated right away. “I understand the concern, I understand why there’s hesitancy, but remember these vaccines have been around for two years. We have been giving them in ages five and up this whole time, and we know a lot about what they do,” says Family Practice Physician, Dr. Andrew Carroll. As of now, the COVID-19 vaccine is not required for kids to attend school. CDC data shows that the vaccine reduces the small risk that kids could develop severe disease from the virus. Ultimately, it is up to the parents or guardian to decide. “Parents with their pediatrician should decide if the two shot Moderna vaccine or the three shot Pfizer is what works best for their schedule, for their child, and for making sure the whole series is given. Compliance is essential,” says Pediatric Hospitalist, Dr. Rebecca Fisk.
Why monkeypox may soon get a new name Monkeypox may soon have a new name after scientists called for a change to dispel stereotypes of Africa being seen as a crucible of disease. The World Health Organization announced last week that it is “working with partners and experts from around the world on changing the name of monkeypox virus, its clades and the disease it causes.” Monkeypox’s clades, which are different branches of the virus’ family tree, have been particularly controversial because they are named after African regions. Last year the WHO officially named COVID-19 variants after Greek letters to avoid stigmatizing the places where they were first detected. Just days before the WHO announced it would change monkeypox’s name, a group of 29 scientists wrote a letter saying there is an “urgent need for a non-discriminatory and non-stigmatizing nomenclature” for the virus. The letter, signed by several prominent African scientists, called for the names of the “West African” and the “Central African” or “Congo Basin” monkeypox clades to be changed.
Task Force Says Not Enough Evidence on Vitamins as a Way to Reduce Cancer, Heart Disease Risks For millions of people in the United States, staying healthy includes a daily regimen of vitamins and/or supplements. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than half of surveyed U.S. adults used at least one dietary supplement in 2018.
Most people interviewed by Healthline for this story said they believe that vitamins and/or supplements can keep diseases at bay. However, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), an independent panel of national experts in disease prevention and evidence-based medicine, concluded in a reportTrusted Source published today that the evidence is “insufficient” to determine the balance of benefits and harms of supplementation with multivitamins for the prevention of cancer and cardiovascular disease. In an editorialTrusted Source running today in the Journal of the American Medical Association, scientists at Northwestern Medicine said they support the USPSTF’s findings. For non-pregnant, otherwise healthy Americans, vitamins and supplements are a “waste of money” for those who think they can help prevent cardiovascular disease or cancer, the Northwestern scientists wrote. “Beyond wasted money, the focus on supplements might be viewed as a potentially harmful distraction. Rather than focusing money, time, and attention on supplements, it would be better to emphasize lower-risk, higher-benefit activities,” the scientists added.

Does the Government Care About Environmental Toxins? For the past several years, the government has been forcing medical interventions on us while limiting our treatment choices and censoring information on alternatives to “Western” medicine. More recently, they’ve crippled our economy, closed down schools and churches, and made anyone who questions the official narrative seem like a “second-class citizen.” Even worse, they’ve persecuted and silenced licenses, practicing doctors and scientists who have raised questions about their rules and methods. Around the world, governments have justified these actions by claiming that they are for “the greater good” – that the government is simply looking out for our best interests. But is that really true? It is well established that toxins – in our air, water, food, clothes, medicine, and more – are a major cause of disease. This includes cancer and heart disease, which are among the top killers worldwide. If the government really cares about our health, they should be staunchly protecting us from these toxins, right? Don’t be so sure. Let’s take a look at what the government is doing for the greater good when it comes to toxins.
