Thursday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
Poll shows most in US want changes in how government works After more than two years of the Donald Trump presidency, Andrea Petrusky is ready for some fundamental changes in the way the United States government works. “Right now we’re being shown all of the loopholes, the president being able to do all the things that no president should,” said Petrusky, a 46-year-old elementary school teacher in a Seattle suburb. “It’s time to update what he’s allowed to do and not do. I think it’s time to toddler-proof the presidency.” Petrusky is not alone in yearning for big changes to the way the United States government is structured. A new survey by the University of Chicago Harris School for Public Policy and The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows that 54% of Americans think the system needs major changes and 12% believe it should be completely replaced. While 61% of Democrats like Petrusky want big changes, 52% of Republicans do as well. About 1 in 10 Democrats and Republicans say they want the system completely replaced, while that view is about twice as common among independents.
EPA reaffirms glyphosate safe for users as court cases grow The Environmental Protection Agency reaffirmed Tuesday that a popular weed killer is safe for people, as legal claims mount from Americans who blame the herbicide for their cancer. The EPA’s draft conclusion Tuesday came in a periodic review of glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup. The agency found that it posed “no risks of concern” for people exposed to it by any means — on farms, in yards and along roadsides, or as residue left on food crops. The EPA’s draft findings reaffirmed that glyphosate “is not likely to be carcinogenic to humans.” Two recent U.S. court verdicts have awarded multimillion-dollar claims to men who blame glyphosate for their lymphoma. Bayer, which acquired Roundup-maker Monsanto last year, advised investors in mid-April that it faced U.S. lawsuits from 13,400 people over alleged exposure to the weed killer.

HOW TO STOP SUICIDE CRISIS FOR CHILDREN, VETERANS, ALL We do not diagnose disease or recommend a dietary supplement for the treatment of disease. You should share this information with your physician who can determine what nutrition, disease and injury treatment regimen is best for you. You can search this site or the web for topics of interest that I may have written (use Dr Simone and topic). “We provide truthful information without emotion or influence from the medical establishment, pharmaceutical industry, national organizations, special interest groups or government agencies.” Charles B Simone, M.MS., M.D. Lawrenceville, NJ (Dr Charles Simone) – There are many risk factors associated with suicide but this Report will focus on one that is often not mentioned – prescription psychotropic drugs. Data submitted to FDA show that antidepressants are ineffective in children and teenagers (mean age 9-18 years) and adults. Even in the most severe cases of major depression for which antidepressants are actually approved, they were not effective compared to placebo. But they are inappropriately prescribed “off-label” to children and teenagers and for conditions that are not approved. And largely withheld from the medical community and the public, antidepressants can induce violent behavior. According to the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), more than 45,000 suicides occurred in 2017 which represents a 33% increase in the national suicide rate between 1999 and 2017.
Hour 2 – Special Guest – Scott Taylor!
SUMMER OF ’74 is the unofficial, unauthorized, “true” story of how the greatest myth of the Twentieth century began, in a desert truckstop in California in 1974. Follow the handsome smuggler, Hansel, who drives asweet custom van he calls “The Falcon”, his best friend and co-pilot Chuey, an illegal immigrant from Guatemala who medicates with cannabis, which is why no one understands him, Lucas, the young farm boy who doesn’t like farming and the smart, confident, beautiful, Princess. Her father is a wife-swapping swinger, and self-proclaimed King of Barstow. Doctor Don Væder, M.D.is a proctologist and a gynocologist so he’s an over achiever and wants to be VICE President of the United States.
One day in 2012, Liam and I were making food and talking about myths and cracking each other up (which we did every day). Then he asked me “What is Star Wars when you take away the space wizards and lazer swords?” The answer is obvious. There’s a smuggler, who drives a van… and in that moment the SUMMER OF ’74 was born. But in some ways its been with us all along. Liam is tragically no longer with us, and his absence is truly profound. And yet, I still feel his curiosity and humor and he is somehow with me, re-telling these old familiar stories and still cracking me up. Now after seven years, we are finally bringing our little universe into the world, as a graphic novel and I couldn’t be more excited.
Questions of The Day!
Can colloidal silver be mixed with H2 water? Was worried it may disrupt electrical bonds in water.
Love your show! I’m a female in my mid thirties and am seeing an increase in spider veins! Wondering if you can speak a bit about them including possible causes, and any supplements that might be helpful. I eat quite well, exercise regularly and take my Alta Silica! I suspect that it could be related to hormones; I have been diagnosed with PCOS and do experience irregular menstrual cycles. Any comments on PCOS would be helpful as well. Thanks for your help!
Signed as Law: North Dakota Expands Medical Marijuana Program Despite Federal Prohibition On Tuesday, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum signed a bill into a law that expands the state’s medical marijuana program despite federal prohibition. A coalition of 10 Republicans introduced House Bill 1283 (HB1283) in January. The new law makes several changes to the state’s medical marijuana program designed to increase patient access. Most significantly, It increases the number of qualifying conditions from 17 to 29 and expands the definition of “health care provider” to include physicians assistants, authorizing them to write medical marijuana recommendations. The new law also eliminates a provision that required doctors to attest that medical marijuana would definitively help a patient. According to Marijuana Business Daily, the expansion of the state’s medical marijuana program will not only expand access; it will also expand business opportunities for cannabis license holders. The House gave final approval to HB1283 by an 85-6 vote. The Senate approved the measure 47-0. With Gov. Burgum’s signature, the law went into immediate effect. This is another example of the rapidly expanding availability of marijuana despite federal prohibition.
