Friday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
Special Guest – Ravi Kulasekere PhD, ND
Dr. Ravi Kulasekere is a graduate from the Trinity ND program, and a board certified holistic health practitioner. He is also a board certified medical physicist, a career that spanned almost 13 years in the field of cancer care. Here he was forced to look into vaccines in 2011 when in his hospital job required him to be vaccinated annually with the flu shot in order to keep his job. While refusing to be vaccinated, in November 2016 he voluntarily left his position as chief medical physicist at the county hospital in Cleveland, and opened his own holistic health practice Do No Pharm Naturopathy LLC in Lakewood, Ohio. Since 2011 he has also been diligently studying the untold science behind vaccines and has been a vocal supporter, both online and offline, of informed consent and the ability to choose to be vaccinated or not. He has provided both written and in-person expert testimony at many state sponsored bills in OH that are aimed at removing vaccine choice and is also actively involved in the health freedom advocacy group, Ohio Advocates for Medical Freedom and Health Freedom Ohio In his spare time, he loves to travel, enjoys gardening, ethnic cooking, astronomy, being active in the vegan community in Cleveland and playing with a toddler and her train set.
How Modern Medicine Fails to Protect Children From Chronic Disease Children’s health is getting worse. And it has been for decades. While the COVID-19 pandemic brought about widespread changes to our daily lives, forcing us to reexamine our lifestyle and values in the wake of the crisis, it also brought widespread examination and criticism of our medical system. Medicine has heralded the need for intervention to protect children from COVID-19. However, despite the startlingly low risk of COVID-19 for children (akin to the risk of being struck by lightning) and the harmful health effects of masking a child, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) pushed for masking children in schools, an approach The Atlantic criticized as flawed and based on shaky science. Now health authorities are pushing the COVID-19 vaccines for children despite the questionable risk benefits to a demographic that has never been at risk for COVID-19 while downplaying potential hazards such as myocarditis. Despite the fear-mongering from the media, infectious diseases, including COVID-19, are not the foremost health concerns for children. A look at the top 10 causes of childhood mortality reveals the top 3 medically-related conditions are cancer, congenital anomalies and heart disease.
The Experts Still Pushing Coerced Jabs Medical ethics is about protecting society from medical malfeasance and the self-interest of the humans whom we trust to manage health. It is therefore disturbing when prominent people, in a prominent journal, tear up the concept of medical ethics and human rights norms. It is worse when they ignore broad swathes of evidence, and misrepresent their own sources to do so. On July 8th 2022, The Lancet published a ‘Viewpoint’ article online: “Effectiveness of vaccination mandates in improving uptake of COVID-19 vaccines in the USA.” The article, which acknowledges the controversial nature of vaccine mandates, primarily concludes that coercing people to take a medical product, and reducing options for refusal, increases product uptake. It further concludes that the best way to implement such mandates is for employers and educational institutions to threaten job security and the right to education. The use of coercion goes against the established ethics and morals of Public Health, and could be argued to be anti-health. In this case, the article justifies it by stating that “the current evidence regarding the safety of COVID-19 vaccines in adults is sufficient to support mandates.” However, it offers scant evidence to back this assertion, and ignores all evidence to the contrary. They apparently consider the ability to work and support a family, or gain formal education, as something that is to be granted or taken away, not a human right.
God Gave Us Two Arms — One for the Flu Shot, One for the COVID Shot,’ White House COVID Response Coordinator Says The White House COVID-19 Response Team on Tuesday held a briefing to mark what health officials called a “major milestone,” referring to the rapid authorization of new COVID-19 bivalent booster shots for Americans ages 12 and older. Commenting on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Aug. 31 amended Emergency Use Authorizations for new the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines, Dr. Ashish Jha, Biden’s COVID-19 response coordinator, said: “We expect millions will choose to get their [updated bivalent] COVID-19 shot at the same time or over the course of the fall when people go in for routine checkups. “The good news is you can get both your flu shot and COVID shot at the same time. It’s actually a good idea. “I really believe this is why God gave us two arms. One for the flu shot and the other one for the COVID shot.” Jha’s comments trended on Twitter. The new vaccines, which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended on Sept. 1, contain sequences from both the original SARS-CoV-2 virus and the most recently circulating Omicron variant. Dr. Anthony Fauci, who also appeared during the briefing, said, “My message to you is simple. Get your updated COVID-19 shot. As soon as you are eligible in order to protect yourself, your family and your community against COVID-19 this fall.”
Sugar disrupts microbiome and immune function, leading to metabolic disorders Research shows that an estimated 70% of the immune system resides in the gut. Immune cells in the gut interact with the microbiome — the bacteria and fungi that live in the intestines — linking diet directly to the health of the immune system. Now, a new study in mice — which appears in the journal CellTrusted Source — has found that dietary sugar indirectly leads to a loss of critical immune cells. Paul Gill a research fellow at the Department of Microbial Disease, Eastman Dental Institute, University College London in the U.K., who was not involved in this study, told Medical News Today that “[t]he study authors have outlined a new mechanism by which high doses of sugar impact the gut microbiota and immune system.” “A high-sugar diet promoted the growth of a bacterial species that outcompetes commensal ‘good’ bacteria. A consequence of this gut dysbiosis,” explained Gill, “is a reduction in a specific type of immune cell called a T-helper 17 cell [TH17], which was found to protect mice from high fat diet-induced obesity.” “This protective effect of Th17 cells is another novel finding. The study authors,” said Gill, “found that Th17 cells reduce the absorption of fats by the gut lining, which reduces the severity of metabolic disease and weight gain.”
Hour 2 ENCORE
Medicines pose global environmental risk, experts warn Residues from billions of doses of antibiotics, painkillers and antidepressants pose a significant risk to freshwater ecosystems and the global food chain, a new analysis said Thursday. There are growing fears that the unchecked use of antibiotics in both medicine and agriculture will have adverse effects on the environment and on human health. When animals and humans ingest medicines, up to 90 percent of active ingredients are excreted back into the environment. Many medicines are simply discarded — in the United States alone an estimated one third of the four billion drugs prescribed each year ends up as waste. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) compared data on concentrations of pharmaceutical residue in water samples worldwide as well as prescribing trends and water purification regulations in various countries. One study cited in its report estimates that 10 percent of all pharmaceuticals are potentially harmful to the environment — including hormones, painkillers and antidepressants.
Americans have spent billions treating diabetes Americans’ wallets take a serious hit from the treatment of diabetes. The American Diabetes Association estimates that treating type 1 and type 2 diabetes cost $327 billion in 2017, according to a study commissioned by the organization. The figure represents a concerning 26 percent increase from the previous estimate of $245 billion, which used data from 2012. Of that total, $237 billion is attributed to direct medical expenses, the ADA says. Major contributors to that number are hospital inpatient care and prescription medications, each of which accounted for 30 percent of direct spending. Antidiabetic agents and diabetic-specific supplies represent 15 percent of costs, and visits to the physician’s office added up to account for 13 percent. But the buck doesn’t stop there. Diabetes costs the U.S. economy another $90 billion from lost economic productivity, according to the study. Sources of the deficit caused by diabetic complications include absenteeism, reduced productivity at work, inability to work and early mortality.
