Holy Pill Bottles Batman!
Record haul of drugs collected at DEA event, officials say A record-breaking 912,305 pounds — or 456 tons — of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs were collected during the eighth annual event last month, according to a press release Tuesday from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). The DEA says that’s almost 6 tons more than was collected last year, and brings the total amount of pills collected over the life of the program to more than 9 million pounds, or 4,508 tons, of unwanted drugs. President Trump urged Americans to participate to help reduce the risk of opioid painkillers falling into the wrong hands.
What’s Up With The Ignorance in Indiana?
Indiana Prosecutors Insist Cannabis ‘Is Not Medicine’ Indiana’s county prosecutors remain vehemently opposed to any form of marijuana legalization and insist the plant “is not medicine” amid a push by a conservative state lawmaker to have it recognized as such. The Association of Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys argues any type of marijuana legalization would come with grave consequences in a letter sent to Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb’s administration. The letter, dated last week, was publicly released Monday.
Comment of The Day!
Thanks RSB. My previous comment was really concerning the lack of functional/integrative doctors in Syracuse NY, and the frustration of not having a lot of options. As for my insurance comment, it was really about having to ‘pay’ twice for services. Paying for insurance, and then having to also pay for other doctors/ naturopathic doctors out of ‘pocket’. My husband and I have really good health ins. Bad news for us, I know.
Anyway, thanks for answering my comments on the air.
Special Guest – Paul Barattiero!
Paul stops by to help answer our Question of The Day!
I am thinking about getting a sauna and remember you talking about them but don’t remember which type you thought best, near or far infrared or old style heat sauna. Also do the Infrared affect your eyes at all?
Just Grow It!
How to get your community moving towards food independence If you are interested in minimizing your travels to the grocery store, while at the same time putting up a project that you and your neighbors can benefit from and also getting the chance to grow your own food (thereby knowing that it is certifiably clean), it is time to start your local food community. The concept of patronizing your own – from growing food locally and organically to buying only products that were made by residents within your immediate vicinity – is slowly becoming the next trend, but what the hipsters don’t know is that this concept is nothing new. We just hadn’t gotten around to doing it lately because we have been immersed in the comforts that modern convenience brings.
Hour 2 – Outside The Box With Ty Bollinger!
It’s time to go Outside The Box again with Ty Bollinger! What will we be talking about today?
Latest GMO Propaganda: Roundup is Less Toxic Than Table Salt There is a meme going around by a Monsanto social sciences lead that ranks glyphosate as less toxic than table salt, baking soda, cacao and vitamin D. Glyphosate, the key ingredient of Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide, is less toxic than caffeine and table salt according to an infographic ‘signed’ with the Twitter name of Monsanto social sciences lead Cami Ryan, GM Watch reported.
Cash crop: The real reason cannabis approval is so slow is because Big Pharma wants to patent it The fact that Big Pharma has been a driving force behind marijuana prohibition is hard to ignore — especially when it comes to the number of opioid manufacturers that have spent thousands of dollars fighting against medical marijuana. The plague of opioid addiction has struck the United States hard, leaving countless numbers of overdoses, deaths and destroyed families in its wake. And yet, the people who pushed these highly addictive drugs onto the unsuspecting public are suddenly playing martyr, spending nearly a billion dollars to keep opioids on the market and fight cannabis legalization, under the alleged pretense of public safety. It just doesn’t add up, does it?
Texas church killer a devout atheist who liked CNN and other anti-Christian media outlets The man who shot and killed nearly 30 people and wounded as many more at a small-town Texas church on Sunday was an avowed atheist who favored CNN and other Left-leaning, anti-Christian news and media outlets and sites. Reports noted that Devin Patrick Kelley, 26, dressed in combat gear and body armor, entered the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs and began shooting people with an AR-15 style rifle.
Being Fat Can Make Cancer Drugs Useless—Here’s Why For years, doctors have known that cancer patients who are obese tend to face a more challenging fight against cancer. Now, they may know why: People’s fat could be digesting the drugs and preventing them from actually getting to the cancer they’re meant to treat. For children fighting leukemia, “obese kids have about a 50 percent higher relapse rate than non-obese kids,” Dr. Steven Mittelman told Newsweek. “It’s a pretty big effect.” Mittelman is a pediatrician and endocrinologist at the UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital.
Raw milk farmer to be sentenced Durham area raw milk advocate Michael Schmidt could be off to jail Wednesday. He’s to be sentenced in Walkerton court after being found guilty last month of obstructing justice. Schmidt, along with about 70 friends, neighbours and members of his cow share operation blocked authorities from seizing equipment from his Glencolton farm during a raid two years ago. Schmidt says its been such a waste of government resources for the past two decades, fighting him on the right to sell unpasteurized milk. “It would have been so simple 24 years ago to say, ‘Michael, let’s sit down. Figure this out. Here are our guidelines for that’. They would have saved millions of dollars. The process to go through, the punishment, the never-ending trials, the ridiculous charges, and then probably a strange sentencing. I don’t know what they will come up with, but I don’t really care”
