Exclusive: Conservatives Urge House Foreign Affairs to Take Up Bills that Defund, Withdraw from W.H.O. House conservatives urged the House Foreign Affairs Committee to take up two bills that would defund and withdraw from the World Health Organization (W.H.O.), Breitbart News has learned exclusively. Reps. Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Chip Roy (R-TX), Ralph Norman (R-SC), Andy Ogles (R-TN), Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), Eric Burlison (R-MO), Alex Mooney (R-WV), Dan Bishop (R-NC), Barry Moore (R-AL), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), and Bob Good (R-VA) wrote a letter to House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) and Ranking Member Gregory Meeks (D-NY), urging them to consider H.R. 79, the WHO Withdrawal Act, and H.R. 343, the No Taxpayer Funding for the World Health Organization Act. The WHO Withdrawal Act has 42 cosponsors and the No Taxpayer Funding for the World Health Organization Act has 40 cosponsors. Both bills have been referred to the House Foreign Affairs Committee, where the committee has yet to take action on them. Biggs told Breitbart News in an exclusive statement that the Biden administration should not grant more authority to the W.H.O. which “issued ineffective health guidance” during the coronavirus pandemic. He explained, “Public health decisions in America ought to be made by elected officials here in America—not executives from an international organization in Geneva, Switzerland. The Biden Administration cannot grant more authority to an organization that is compromised by Communist China and that has repeatedly issued ineffective health guidance during the COVID global emergency. I’m grateful for Congressmen Roy and Norman for supporting my letter and remain hopeful that the House Foreign Affairs Committee advances our legislation.”

WHO chief warns of future pathogens with ‘even deadlier potential’ than COVID-19 The head of the World Health Organization warned Monday the world must prepare for the next global pandemic, warning that the consequences could be even deadlier in the future.  “The threat of another variant emerging that causes new surges of disease and death remains, and the threat of another pathogen emerging with even deadlier potential remains,” WHO director-general Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told a meeting of the World Health Assembly in Geneva, noting that pandemics are “far from the only threat we face.” Tedros stressed that the international community “cannot kick this can down the road.” “If we do not make the changes that must be made, then who will? And if we do not make them now, then when? When the next pandemic comes knocking — and it will — we must be ready to answer decisively, collectively and equitably,” he stressed. Tedros said that it was encouraging and a “relief” to see life “return to normal,” although cases are still spreading, and he said the pandemic has shown that the world’s populace needs to be “better protected.”  The U.S. ended its public health emergency on May 11. Earlier in the month, the WHO officially ended the COVID-19 global health emergency.

BREAKING: In Surprise Move, New York Says It Will End COVID Vaccine Mandate for Healthcare Workers Minutes after oral arguments began today in a New York State appeals court hearing on a lawsuit challenging the state’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for healthcare workers, an attorney representing New York announced the state’s intention to repeal the mandate. The state also requested the court overturn a previous ruling striking down the mandate — a move attorneys for the plaintiffs opposed because it “leaves open the very real possibility that this constitutional violation could happen again and ruin many more lives.” Children’s Health Defense (CHD) sponsored the original lawsuit, filed Oct. 20, 2022, by Medical Professionals for Informed Consent — a group of medical practitioners affected by the mandate — along with several additional plaintiffs, including two doctors, a nurse, a radiologic technologist and a medical laboratory specialist. Defendants include the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), New York Gov. Kathleen C. Hochul and Mary T. Bassett, the state’s health commissioner. New York’s Supreme Court Appellate Division in Rochester was set to hear arguments today — but the plaintiffs’ attorneys were cut short by the state’s announcement. Jonathan Hitsous, an attorney for the state, today told the court that New York no longer intends to enforce the mandate: “I would like to advise the court that the State Health Department has just informed me that they intend to repeal the regulation that is being challenged here. “The repeal is going to be done through the notice and comment process but what I can confirm is that the department no longer intends to enforce this rule and will be sending and will be sending out guidance to hospitals and other health care facility administrators within the upcoming week.”

A Warning to Those Who Seek Power Rochelle Walensky just left the CDC in a hurry. We’ll probably never get to know the details of her departure, but it smelled a lot like the culmination of statements that she made over the course of her time there. Some of the statements she made and positions she held didn’t quite match up with the facts that she knew at the time, and some members of Congress are beginning to notice. I don’t believe for a second that Walensky thought up those statements all on her own, and I don’t believe that she was stupid enough not to know that they were false when she said them. Someone else (probably more like someones) convinced her to toe the line and say those things, because that’s what others in power above her wanted to happen, and that it would be really good for her career to go along. Because, you know, present a unified voice; tell a little white lie; do what’s good for the population. It could also be that Walensky didn’t get that instruction from anyone at all. Humans are complex creatures that can pick up on all sorts of cues from other individuals and the environment. It could be that somehow she just knew what she needed to say to maintain her position of power. It might not have even included a rationalization to herself. It just felt right. Who knows, maybe there’s another lucrative position already in the works at a large and powerful pharmaceutical company, where she can still be part of the game.

Biden’s Labor Market: Foreigners Taking U.S. Jobs Hits Highest Level as Employment of Americans Declines The number of foreign nationals holding jobs in the United States has hit the highest level since the Labor Department began tracking the data in 1996 as the employment of native-born Americans declines, a trend under President Joe Biden. In 2022, foreign-born workers saw their share of the labor market hit the highest level in almost 30 years at more than 18 percent, with close to 30 million now holding U.S. jobs, according to data published in the Wall Street Journal. The number of foreign-born workers holding jobs or looking for work increased by 1.8 million last year — more than the 1.3 million native-born Americans who joined the workforce. “Any real gains we’re seeing in the labor force are coming from immigrants — they’re a buoy,” an economist told the Journal. said Elizabeth Crofoot, senior economist at Lightcast, a labor-market data firm. With its insistence on expanding overall immigration to the U.S., through legal immigration, illegal immigration, and foreign visa worker programs, the Biden administration has increased the foreign-born workforce by five percent over just four years.

House Votes to Overturn Biden’s Student Loan Forgiveness Program The House voted to pass the Congressional Review Act resolution to overturn the Biden administration’s student loan transfer program by a vote of 218 to 203 on May 24. The resolution passed with two Democrats joining 216 Republicans in favor of the measure. The one-time student loan forgiveness program by the Biden administration faced a challenge from House Republicans who believed it was an irresponsible fiscal policy. The resolution, H.J. Res. 45, is an official disapproval by Congress of the administration’s “Waivers and Modifications of Federal Student Loans,” which would be the fulfillment of President Joe Biden’s campaign promise to offer student loan debt relief. “President Biden’s student loan transfer scheme shifts hundreds of billions of dollars of payments from student loan borrowers onto the backs of the American people,” Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.), the resolution’s sponsor, said in a press release sent to The Epoch Times. “I am proud to lead the fight against President Biden’s reckless, unilateral, and unauthorized action that would unfairly penalize those who worked hard to pay off their loans or who never took them out in the first place. I am pleased that my Republican colleagues overwhelmingly supported my legislation on the House Floor.” The vote came while the administration is still awaiting a decision from the Supreme Court on whether the proposal can be implemented. Lawmakers voted on the resolution to halt the forgiveness program and terminate the pandemic-related suspension of federal student loan payments.

She lost weight. But most surprisingly, she walked out of Target one day and realized her cart contained only the four things she came to buy. “I’ve never done that before,” she said. The desire to shop had slipped away. The desire to drink, extinguished once, did not rush in as a replacement either. For the first time—perhaps the first time in her whole life—all of her cravings and impulses were gone. It was like a switch had flipped in her brain. As semaglutide has skyrocketed in popularity, patients have been sharing curious effects that go beyond just appetite suppression. They have reported losing interest in a whole range of addictive and compulsive behaviors: drinking, smoking, shopping, biting nails, picking at skin. Not everyone on the drug experiences these positive effects, to be clear, but enough that addiction researchers are paying attention.

People on Ozempic say they’re defecating their bed due to side effect of weight loss drug that affects up to 30% of takers The blockbuster weight-loss drugs Ozempic and Wegovy are earning rave reviews among influencers, celebrities and slimmers — but some users aren’t so lucky. A growing number of patients are detailing embarrassing and debilitating stomach and toilet symptoms – from severe constipation to losing control of the bowels. The problems have become so common a Reddit group with more than 30,000 members has been created where users share their most embarrassing stories. One user wrote in a thread: ‘I quite literally s**t myself while sleeping. That’s a first. Been tough few days of diarrhea after my first semaglutide injection.’ Meanwhile, a 43-year-old anonymous man taking Wegovy said ‘I just feel SO embarrassed being a grown adult who messed his pants!’  The drugs slow the digestive process, making people feel full for longer periods of time. This can lead to constipation. However, it can also signal to the brain that stomach contents need to be emptied sooner, resulting in diarrhea. TikTok user have claimed that Ozempic and Wegovy have given them a host of uncomfortable symptoms, including cramps, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, and sulfur burps. Another user in that same thread was on their way to a birthday dinner and said they ‘ended up s******g my pants probably 15 minutes into the drive. ‘Wegovy gave me constant gas that would sometimes trick me and end up being explosive diarrhea. What a nightmare.’

Kids Love Gardens — So Let’s Reduce Soil Toxins in Community Spaces As my toddler girls frolic through our community garden picking fresh cherry tomatoes from our plot, I smile at their sense of wonder about growing food. Their eyes widen and their smiles beam as they admire how the seeds we planted earlier in the season are now full-grown plants. The scent of summer rain is in the air and I’m excited to begin harvesting okra, which I will freeze to make gumbo in the fall. Although gardening was not part of my childhood, I reclaimed the connection to the land to continue that legacy for my family. My maternal great-grandparents in Opelousas, Louisiana, grew sweet potatoes, okra, watermelon and other produce to sell at the French Market in New Orleans. My paternal great-grandparents owned vegetable and dairy farms in Mansfield, Louisiana. Local agriculture was not only a source of food and income, but a means of community, partnership and connection. While my youngest daughter is chasing butterflies that frequent the marigolds in a neighboring garden plot, my oldest daughter is examining a ladybug on a cucumber vine. “Mom, what do ladybugs eat? Why are ladybugs good for our garden? But how?”

Question of The Day!

Hey guys I need your help. Fevers with young kids; 4 year old and a 7 months. It’s a conversation that leads to a argument every time in my household. My only clear point is that Tylenol or Advil does not treat the problem. I’ve read that it can possibly inhibit the problem from my understanding. At what point would you if ever recommended the use of it, other remedies pointers, advice. We see eye to eye on vaccines amongst other things but fevers are a issue. My thoughts are short term gain for a potential long term loss. Simply put I have a complete distrust for the pharmaceutical industry. Please and thanks in advance. PS you guys are phenomenal
