Thursday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
Sacred Fire of Liberty!
It’s that time of the week where we get to explore the political healing that this country needs so desperately! Jonathan Emord is back to help us dissect the latest political news that’s fit to print:
Julian Assange winks and gives thumbs up following dramatic arrest at Ecuadorian Embassy after 7 years holed up JULIAN Assange winked at the cameras and gave a thumbs up today after his dramatic arrest at the Ecuadorian Embassy ended seven years in hiding. The bearded WikiLeaks founder has spent 2,487 days holing up in the embassy to avoid Swedish sex claims and US authorities, who want him over an alleged conspiracy with US whistleblower Chelsea Manning. The 47-year-old is facing up to 12 months in a British jail after being found guilty this afternoon of skipping bail in 2012 to seek refuge at the embassy. He now faces a battle against extradition to America where he was today charged in his absence with “one of the largest compromises of classified information in the history of the US”. Swedish lawyers are also seeking to reopen the sex allegations which first sent Assange into hiding – a move which has cost the British taxpayer more than £10m. Wearing a black suit with his scruffy hair tied back, Assange sat in the dock reading Gore Vidal’s History of the National Security State – the book he clutched as he was bundled out of the embassy.
New York City Is Requiring Some Residents to Get Vaccinated Against Measles. Is That Legal — AndEthical? New York City officials on Tuesday took the unusual and dramatic step of requiring some Brooklyn residents to get vaccinated against measles, as an outbreak there continues to worsen. The controversial policy was announced just days after a New York judge halted an order in nearby Rockland County, which had previously banned all unvaccinated children from visiting public places. Under New York City’s policy, people in four Brooklyn zip codes who resist vaccination could face fines of up to $1,000, but it’s not clear whether they could actually be compelled to get vaccinated if they continue to refuse. Health Commissioner Dr. Oxiris Barbot said those who refuse vaccination would be dealt with on a “case-by-case basis.”
National Popular Vote catches fire in blue states as Democrats seek to upend Electoral College After seven failed attempts in 12 years, the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact suddenly caught fire this year in Oregon, finally winning passage in the Democrat-controlled state Senate. That worried Democratic state Sen. Betsy Johnson. She voted against Senate Bill 870, arguing that the proposal, which would add Oregon to a national effort to upend the Electoral College, should be placed on the ballot. Its sudden burst of popularity, she said, can be attributed to one man: President Trump. “There are two words not mentioned in SB 870: Donald Trump,” said Ms. Johnson in her Tuesday floor speech. “In my opinion, he’s the reason the National Popular Vote has caught on so aggressively of late. If we’re going to end a historic institution, let it be prompted by something loftier than dislike for one particular president. Let regular voters make that decision, not the legislature.”
Dems rage against Barr for backing claims of Trump campaign ‘spying’ by FBI Prominent Democrats lined up to hammer Attorney General Bill Barr for testifying Wednesday that federal authorities had spied on the Trump campaign in 2016, with one top House Democrat charging that Barr is not acting “in the best interest of the DOJ or the country.” “I think spying did occur,” Barr said during the explosive hearing before a Senate Appropriations subcommittee. “The question is whether it was adequately predicated. …Spying on a political campaign is a big deal.” Barr later clarified in the hearing: “I am not saying that improper surveillance occurred; I’m saying that I am concerned about it and looking into it, that’s all.” Despite mounting evidence that the FBI pursued an array of efforts to gather intelligence from within the Trump campaign — and the fact that the FBI successfully pursued warrantsto surveil a former Trump aide in 2016 — House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., told Fox News that Barr’s loyalties were compromised.
Rep. Ilhan Omar slammed for 9/11 remark at CAIR event: ‘Some people did something’ Rep. Ilhan Omar sparked a backlash from conservatives this week after a video surfaced of her speech to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in which she appeared to trivialize the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Ms. Omar, a freshman Minnesota Democrat and Muslim-American who has faced a number of allegations of anti-Semitism since her election, was speaking at a fundraising event for CAIR’s local chapter of Greater Los Angeles when she made some controversial remarks about the Muslim advocacy group’s founding. “Here’s the truth: Far too long we have lived with the discomfort of being a second-class citizen. And frankly, I’m tired of it, and every single Muslim in this country should be tired of it,” Ms. Omar told the crowd. “CAIR was founded after 9/11, because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.” Her reference to the al Qaeda attacks that killed 3,000 Americans outraged conservatives, including freshman Rep. Dan Crenshaw, who called the remark “unbelievable.”
Nutrients from food, not vitamin supplements, reduces risk of early death: study Getting nutrients from foods — not supplements — may be the key to a longer and healthier life, a new study published this week suggests. In fact, when it comes to taking supplements in general, researchers from Tufts University claim to have found “no association between dietary supplement use and a lower risk of [early] death.” “Our results support the idea that, while supplement use contributes to an increased level of total nutrient intake, there are beneficial associations with nutrients from foods that aren’t seen with supplements,” Fang Fang Zhang, a study senior author and associate professor at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University, said in a news statement. “This study also confirms the importance of identifying the nutrient source when evaluating mortality outcomes,” added Zhang.
Questions of The Day
Hi SD and RSB,
I just heard Del and RFK Jr speak in Sacramento, as to the true reason behind the False flag measles scare. There is a big lawsuit in trial right now over the lies about the effectiveness of the mumps portion. There are over 9,000 active cases of mumps in adults, which is scary. One way to cover that up is to revaccinate, booster or vaccinate the “community”. Funny, no media coverage of the mumps cases, though far more dangerous in adulthood. Also, titers in measles have waned incredibly from anyone who received vaccine, so having to prove titers will mean everyone gets Vaxxed, once again covering up their criminal activity.
Do you have a source for Lobelia Tincture? If not, I will use Mountain Rose Herbs.
My doctor found a very small gallbladder polyp after an ultrasound. He told me to repeat the test in another 6 months. I am 61, slender, do not eat junk food or sugar. I do indulge in a few glasses of wine on the weekend. My grandmother had gallbladder issues, but died with her gallbladder which I am planning on as well. Could you offer some homeopathic remedies to get rid of the polyp and do I need to be worried about it? I already drink beet juice everyday, cider vinegar, lemon water.
Thank you Robert
