Thursday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
Sacred Fire of Liberty!
It’s that time of the week where we get to explore the political healing that this country needs so desperately! Jonathan Emord is back to help us dissect the latest political news that’s fit to print:
Democrats face quandary on vaccine support as election nears President Donald Trump is escalating his promise for a coronavirus vaccine before Election Day. But across America, Democrats, independents and even some Republicans do not trust his administration to produce a safe and effective vaccine on such an aggressive timeline. Such hesitancy threatens to exacerbate the public health risk for millions of Americans whenever a vaccine is released. With the Nov. 3 election fast approaching, Democratic officials face a delicate political challenge. Should they attack Trump’s vaccine claims too aggressively, Democrats risk further undermining public confidence in a possible lifesaving medicine while looking as though they are rooting against a potential cure. But if they don’t push back, it makes it easier for Trump to use the real or imagined prospect of a vaccine to boost his reelection campaign. Washington Gov. Jay Inslee demonstrated the Democrats’ balancing act on Friday when asked whether he would be willing to take a vaccine released by the administration before the election.
Trump Says WH Could Veto FDA’s Vaccine Rules President Donald Trump signaled that he could veto any tightening of U.S. rules for the emergency clearance of a coronavirus vaccine, a move that could increase concerns that the race to find a COVID-19 shot is being politicized ahead of the presidential election. The Food and Drug Administration is expected to soon issue final guidelines for an emergency-use authorization for a vaccine. Regulators and drugmakers have in recent weeks vowed to adhere to science, not politics, in deciding when a vaccine is ready to reach the market. At a news conference on Wednesday, Trump said it “sounds like a political move” when asked whether the FDA was considering stricter standards for an authorization, suggesting that the White House could intercede if it thought the agency was too rigorous. “That has to be approved by the White House,” Trump said. “We may or may not approve it.”
Facebook, YouTube, Twitter Agree to Common Definition of ‘Hate Speech’ The social media giants — Facebook, Google’s YouTube, and Twitter — have, under pressure from the advertising industry, agreed to a set of “common definitions” for allegedly “hateful” and “harmful” content and to “harmonize” reporting standards for such content across the industry. This agreement amongst the Masters of the Universe means that the top social media platforms will no longer differ significantly from each other on hate speech enforcement. If you’ve been censored for “hate speech” on Facebook, expect to be censored on all the other platforms as well. The agreement came after sustained pressure against Facebook by the advertising industry, which has engaged in a months-long boycott of the platform. Via Reuters: Advertisers have complained for years that big social media companies do too little to prevent ads from appearing alongside hate speech, fake news and other harmful content. Big tech companies, meanwhile, want to be seen as taking action on the issue to fend off calls for more regulation. Under the deal, announced on Wednesday by the World Federation of Advertisers, common definitions would be adopted for forms of harmful content such as hate speech and bullying, and platforms would adopt harmonised reporting standards. Carolyn Everson, Vice President for Global Marketing Solutions at Facebook, said the agreement “has aligned the industry on the brand safety floor and suitability framework, giving us all a unified language to move forward on the fight against hate online.”
Barr says ‘notion’ of separation of church and state misunderstood because of ‘militant secularists’ Attorney General William Barr said Wednesday that he believes the American public has misinterpreted the actual meaning of “separation of church and state” during a speech at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast (NCPB). “Militant secularists have long seized on that slogan as a facile justification for attempting to drive religion from the public square and to exclude religious people from bringing a religious perspective to bear on conversations about the common good,” Barr said during the virtual ceremony that had been postponed since March due to the coronavirus pandemic. Barr said he believes that “traditional morality” has diminished, to be replaced by people who are “actively hostile” in advocating for the separation of church and state – threatening core principles in the country’s democracy. The attorney general said there is a direct correlation between the removal of religion from schools and public spaces, and the “striking increases in urban violence, drug abuse and broken families.” “Problems like these have fed the rise of an ever more powerful central government, one that increasingly saps individual initiative, coopts civil society, crowds out religious institutions and ultimately reduces citizens to wards of the state,” Barr said.
President Trump: Crazy Nancy Pelosi wants to impeach me for fulfilling constitutional obligation President Trump laid into House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after she refused to rule out impeachment as a way to stall him from nominating another Supreme Court judge. In a tweet Monday, the President commented on her efforts to try and prevent him from filling late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s seat.
@SenateGOP Crazy Nancy Pelosi wants to Impeach me if I fulfill my Constitutional Obligation to put forth a Nominee for the vacated seat on the United States Supreme Court. This would be a FIRST, even crazier than being Impeached for making a PERFECT phone call to Ukrainian Pres.

His comments came just one day after Pelosi said in an interview that lawmakers are looking at every option to stop a nomination. “We have our options,” she stated. “We have arrows in our quiver that I’m not about to discuss right now, but the fact is we have a big challenge in our country.” Pelosi has implied she won’t rule out any tactic to stop a nomination from happening.

Protect Vaccine Exemptions
Oregon’s vaccine laws allow for medical and non-medical vaccine exemptions. Oregon’s non-medical exemption law also mandates education and state and/or vaccine provider approval of parents exercising their human and informed consent right to exempt their children from one or more state required vaccines. Vaccine exemptions protect parental rights and children’s health. Parents have a responsibility to assess their child’s risk of a vaccine adverse reaction based on that child’s individual health needs and advancements in scientific research. The foundational purpose of OFMF is to protect those rights.
Promote Informed Consent Rights
OFMF is dedicated to promoting the rights of consumers to know the truth about the safety, efficacy, history, and ingredients of vaccines. Vaccines are pharmaceutical products with associated risk of side-effects. Administering vaccines without consideration for an individual’s medical and family history, genetic variants, and biomarkers that make them more susceptible to vaccine injury may pose a significant risk that outweighs any benefit to that individual.
Preserve Medical Privacy
OFMF is committed to protecting the medical and personal information privacy rights of all Oregonians. We oppose any proposed infrastructure that requires vaccine exemptions to be entered into a state registry as this would discriminate against children who could be harmed by vaccination by putting their private medical records more at risk than other children’s.

BREAKING: Ohio Football Mom Tased and Arrested for Not Wearing Mask at a Game Alecia Kitts drove an hour and a half from Marietta to Logan, Ohio to watch her son’s football game. In the first quarter she was approached by an officer from the Logan Police Department because she was not wearing a mask. According to Tiffany Kennedy, the woman who shot the above video, Kitts had not been warned for not wearing a mask prior to the officer approaching her. Kennedy also said that Kitts has asthma and that’s why she was not wearing a mask. “There is no reason to tase someone and arrest them for not wearing a mask,” Kennedy said. Kennedy also pointed out the female officer who is shown running toward the Logan officer and Kitts at the end of the video was not wearing a mask – pulling one out of her pocket as she was in pursuit. “Alecia’s mom said that when the officer tased her, the current went through the bleachers and zapped the kid sitting there too.” Kitts appears to be socially distanced from others in the crowd and sitting with her family. “There were only 25 or 30 fans from our town on our side,” said Kennedy. The Logan Police Department declined comment and sent an inquiry to Captain Ryan Gabriel. The Ohio Star left a message with Captain Gabriel and will report back after making contact. Alecia Kitts was contacted but had not returned comment before press time. Sources indicate that Kitts was charged with criminal trespass and released on her own recognizance.
Idaho Police Arrest 3 at Outdoor Church Worship Event in Defiance of Mask Mandate Police in Moscow, Idaho, arrested three people Wednesday for violating social distancing rules as their church sang hymns and Bible psalms outdoors — an event held, in part, to protest the city mayor’s mask mandate, which runs to January 2021. Officers arrested Gabriel Rench, Rachel Bohnet, and Sean Bohnet, according to Moscow Report, a local independent news outlet. A video uploaded to social media shows Bohnet, a local music teacher, and his wife telling officers they refused to comply with an inaudible order. Moscow Report says the apparent infraction is that they refused to show identification. Footage of the couple’s arrest shows the church body singing the hymn “Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow” as officers place them in handcuffs. Rench is a co-host of CrossPolitic, a Christian political talk show, and a candidate for county commissioner. “You guys should not be doing this,” he told officers as they walked him to a squad car. “And doing this kind of crap for the mayor, this is embarrassing. You guys are stronger than this.” Released that same day, Rench appeared on his talk show to discuss the arrest, playing extended footage of his conversation with officers. One of his companions is heard telling the officers “We backed you guys” at recent Black Lives Matter protests advocating to defund the police. “They didn’t send you [to enforce social distancing] with BLM to go do that when they said defund you guys. We backed you guys.”
Four Decades of Deceit and Covering Up Vaccine Injuries and Deaths Leads to Mistrust of American Public Regarding Experimental COVID Vaccine As the National Vaccine Information Center prepares to host the three day, three night Fifth International Public Conference on Vaccination that will be broadcast online Oct. 16-18, 2020, the theme we have chosen is Protecting Health and Autonomy in the 21st Century, because at no time in modern history has it been more important for all of us to take a stand and do just that. This year, the orchestrated actions by governments around the world to restrict or eliminate civil liberties in response to the emergence of a new coronavirus has been unprecedented, and it has had profound effects on the global economy and on the physical, mental and emotional health of billions of people. By mid-September 2020, there were about 29 million cases of the new Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV-2) reported worldwide with about 925,000 associated deaths. The United States, the third most populated country in the world at 330 million people, had recorded over seven million cases and 198,000 deaths, with an estimated 598 deaths per million people, which is a higher death rate pthan Sweden, 2where health officials have refused to order masking or lock down the country and allowed the population to acquire natural herd immunity to the virus.
Pandemic practice: Horror fans and morbidly curious individuals are more psychologically resilient during the COVID-19 pandemic One explanation for why people engage in frightening fictional experiences is that these experiences can act as simulations of actual experiences from which individuals can gather information and model possible worlds. Conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic, this study (n = 310) tested whether past and current engagement with thematically relevant media fictions, including horror and pandemic films, was associated with greater preparedness for and psychological resilience toward the pandemic. Since morbid curiosity has previously been associated with horror media use during the COVID-19 pandemic, we also tested whether trait morbid curiosity was associated with pandemic preparedness and psychological resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. We found that fans of horror films exhibited greater resilience during the pandemic and that fans of “prepper” genres (alien-invasion, apocalyptic, and zombie films) exhibited both greater resilience and preparedness. We also found that trait morbid curiosity was associated with positive resilience and interest in pandemic films during the pandemic. Taken together, these results are consistent with the hypothesis that exposure to frightening fictions allow audiences to practice effective coping strategies that can be beneficial in real-world situations.
