Mid-Term Election Recap
Marijuana Won The Midterm Elections Tuesday’s election results were a mixed bag for partisans: Democrats regained control of the House, while Republicans extended their Senate majority. But one clear winner in the midterm elections was marijuana. Michigan voters approved a ballot measure making their state the first in the midwest to legalize cannabis. Missouri approved an initiative to allow medical marijuana, as did Utah. Voters in several Ohio cities approved local marijuana decriminalization measures, and a number of Wisconsin counties and cities strongly approved nonbinding ballot questions calling for cannabis reform. While North Dakota’s long-shot marijuana legalization measure failed, cannabis also scored a number of big victories when it came to the results of candidate races. When new pro-legalization governors take their seats next year, marijuana bills in several states will have a good chance of being signed into law. In Illinois, Democrat J.B. Pritzker won the governor’s race after making marijuana legalization a centerpiece of his campaign.
Election 2018 – A Great Day for Hemp As the election results were revealed through late yesterday evening, there were moments of excitement and disappointment for both parties.
But for hemp, victory was complete and absolute:
- Hemp’s greatest champion, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, held onto, and expanded his majority, strengthening his hand in the coming Congress. McConnell took the extraordinary step of placing himself on the 2018 Farm Bill conference committee for one primary reason – to ensure that his Hemp Farming Act provisions are retained in the final version. Now with even more influence in Washington, McConnell is in prime position to secure the full and permanent legalization of hemp and hemp products.
- The Democratic takeover of the House is a boost to final passage of a hemp-laden Farm Bill. While GOP stalwarts like Rep. Jamie Comer, Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte, and most recently Speaker Paul Ryan have emerged as major hemp champions, there was a small group of resisters in their caucus. That’s why when the House passed its version of the Farm Bill by a razor thin vote, the decision was made not to provoke controversy by adding the hemp provision. We are still very hopeful that Congress will pass the 2018 Farm Bill in the upcoming lame duck session which begins next week. But in case it bleeds over into the new year, we can be fully confident that House Democrats, including likely Speaker Nancy Pelosi and hemp point person Rep. Earl Blumenauer will be able to rally the entire Democratic caucus to support the Hemp Farming Act as part of the 2019 Farm Bill.
- One of hemp’s greatest and most longtime champions, Rep. Jared Polis, was elected Governor of Colorado. Big Mazel Tov to Governor Polis! Also, Colorado passed Amendment X, which gives the state much more flexibility to raise the THC level from 0.3% if the federal government chooses to do so down the road as well.
Three Deep Red States Vote to Expand Medicaid Voters in Idaho, Nebraska and Utah on Tuesday were on track to approve what their Republican-led legislatures repeatedly would not: free or low-cost health coverage for most poor adults through an expansion of their Medicaid programs. The three deep-red states are now poised to join 33 others that have already expanded Medicaid, an option under the Affordable Care Act since 2014. In Montana, where the legislature expanded the program in 2015, but only for four years, voters appeared to reject a plan to sharply raise the cigarette tax to pay the state share of the cost. Expanded Medicaid will now end there, unless the legislature agrees on another funding source. The tobacco industry poured more than $17 million into ads opposing the tax hike.
Screen Time For Kids – Good Or Bad?
Too much screen time for kids may lead to health woes Children who spend too much time browsing smartphones and tablets are at risk for a lifetime of health issues, including cancer-causing obesity and eyesight problems, according to new studies. A recent review by the World Cancer Research Fundfound “sedentary behaviors” — like staring at an iPhone — are among the contributing causes to excessive weight gain. The WCRF’s global “Third Expert Report” linked being overweight and obesity to several types of cancer, including bladder, breast, cervical, pancreatic and stomach, saying that physical activity decreases that risk.
Children’s sleep not significantly affected by screen time, new study finds Screens are now a fixture of modern childhood. And as young people spend an increasing amount of time on electronic devices, the effects of these digital activities has become a prevalent concern among parents, caregivers, and policy-makers. Research indicating that between 50% to 90% of school-age children might not be getting enough sleep has prompted calls that technology use may be to blame. However, the new research findings from the Oxford Internet Institute at the University of Oxford, has shown that screen time has very little practical effect on children’s sleep. The study was conducted using data from the United States’ 2016 National Survey of Children’s Health. Parents from across the country completed self-report surveys on themselves, their children and household.

Why Is Hydrogen Water So Important?
In each of our bodies, we have cell damaging activity happening on a daily basis. This is something that neither you nor I can stop from occurring in the body. But it is something we can battle with hydrogen.
A by-product of the ATP production process or fuel generation process in the cell is the creation of oxidative stress. This is a part of life and can’t be helped. When this process goes unchecked, then the body is unable to balance the damage being done on a cellular basis.
It’s kind of like if the police decided to go on vacation and never come back, chaos and crime would terrorize the city…. Sadly this happens too often in our bodies where the oxidative stress is left unchecked and able to run rampant in our bodies.
Due to our physiological design, our bodies should be able to fight this naturally. However, We have disrupted and damaged this process to the point of no return in many individuals. With the pollutants in our environments, misunderstood dieting, poor water quality, and excess stress in our lives, cancer and disease is increasingly on the rise.
It’s an epidemic.
The Solution: Hydrogen Water
Luckily, we have taken the time, spent the money, and found the solution. The body fights oxidative
stress with hydrogen. After studying the body and how it tries to fight oxidative stress with hydrogen, we found that it did so through a special and unique relationship with bacteria in the gut and body. This special microflora or bacteria creates hydrogen as a byproduct of fermentation and food breakdown inside the gut. Instead of reinventing the wheel and trying to find a new version of this, we came up with a way to create hydrogen and dissolve it into water for easier access to the body.
We call it, Echo® H2 Water.
As you drink our water, you are flooding the body with millions upon millions of molecules of hydrogen each day. You are providing the body with the tools necessary to combat oxidative stress and get the body back into balance. This is the ultimate solution in hydration and oxidative stress combat.

Can Eating Organic Ward Off Cancer? This Study Says Yes. SHOPPERS WHO SWEAR BY the benefits of eating organic may be onto something, according to a new study out this week in JAMA Internal Medicine. Researchers in France found a significant decrease in cancer occurrence among people who frequently eat organic food. The study of nearly 70,000 French adults – mostly middle-aged women – found that those who ate organic food most often had 25 percent fewer cancers than those who didn’t. Researchers saw a particularly marked drop in post-menopausal breast cancers and lymphomas among the organic-eaters. They posited that the results could be linked to an avoidance of synthetic pesticides sometimes used in farming and agriculture that have been dubbed carcinogenic by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. But the results don’t necessarily mean organic food definitely decreases cancer occurrence. Adults who eat organic food may also have healthier lifestyle habits that contribute to a decline in cancer risk, the researchers note. The study’s time window hovered around a relatively short five years.
Early Exposure to Antibiotics May Lead to Childhood Obesity, Study Finds New findings suggest that early exposure to antibiotics may lead to an increased risk of childhood obesity. A recent article published in Gut (published by the BMJ Group) found that the administration of antibiotics and acid suppressants within the first two years of life was associated with obesity. The association is strong, and each round of medicine prescribed increased the risk of obesity. According to Dr. Cade Nylund, one of the authors of the study, the increased risk of obesity may likely be a result of alterations to the microbiome. That is to say that the changes made to the bacteria in the gut can have significant impact on a child’s obesity risk. And the gut’s impact on our bodies goes far beyond weight gain and obesity. As I’ve talked about before, an unhealthy gut can lead to poor nutrient absorption, autoimmune disease, depression, and even cancer. Following well over 300,000 children, the study was the largest of its kind. Infants who were prescribed antibiotics had a 26% higher risk of obesity by age 3, and while antibiotics are considered the standard for treating infection, the damage to our bodies can be significant.
Indonesian airline delays flight after passengers argue with staff over smell of durian fruit in cargo An Indonesian airline was forced to delay a flight on Monday after the pungent smell of durian permeated the plane’s cabin and almost caused a brawl between passengers and crew. Travelers aboard a Sriwajiya Air flight from Bengkulu, in Indonesia, to Jakarta complained of the odor prior to takeoff, insisting that the airline remove the spiky, smelly fruit — of which there was nearly 4,500 pounds in the cargo hold — from the flight, per The Straits Times. The situation inside the cabin reportedly became so bad that passengers and crew almost came “to blows,” according to The Jakarta Post, citing a report from an Antara news reporter who was on the flight. Airline staff had claimed the smell would dissipate once the flight was in the air, but passengers refused to fly and deplaned. Passengers on the ground later recorded crews unloading the shipment of durian from the cargo area.
USA tops charts for WORST health outcomes of all industrialized nations with 70% of Americans taking experimental prescription drugs In some countries, doctors are paid bonuses for healing their patients, or they’re not even paid at all until the patient becomes well. In the United States, doctors are paid by Big Pharma to peddle experimental drugs made with chemicals in a laboratory that cause side effects that are worse than the conditions and symptoms being “managed.” The drug companies literally wine and dine doctors, give them trips to Vegas, and hand them tickets for front row seats at professional sporting events, all so they’ll prescribe more of their addictive opioid-based pain and SSRI “psyche” pills – medications their patients probably don’t even need. The cold hard truth is that the USA has worse health outcomes than France, Australia, Japan, Sweden, Netherlands, Austria, Germany, and the United Kingdom, plus the USA is lower on that statistical “totem poll” than all other industrialized countries averaged together. The U.S. also has the highest rate of deaths via “healthcare” compared to comparable countries. Disappointed? You should be.
HUH? Cow’s milk is “a symbol of white supremacy,” says PETA If you drink cow’s milk, you’re a racist “white supremacist” who hates “minorities,” according to a radical domestic terrorist group known as People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or PETA. In a recent tweet, PETA, which militantly advocates that all people become vegan, put up a picture of cow’s milk pouring into a glass along with the caption: “Cows’ milk has long been a symbol used by white supremacists. One more reason to #DitchDairy,” followed by a link further claiming that cow’s milk is the “perfect drink for supremacists.” As crazy as it sounds, PETA is dead serious in its claims that cow’s milk is a symbol of “whiteness,” and that white supremacists everywhere are “chugging milk” in celebration of their perceived “superiority” over other races. And just why did America’s apparent hordes of pointy white hat-wearing Klan members – because they’re hiding under every rock, in case you didn’t know – choose milk as the symbol of their supremacy, according to PETA? Because white people, the organization claims, are less likely to be lactose intolerant.
Organic JUNK food? You can waste your money, wreck your health, and fill the pockets of evil corporate America, if you’re not careful Sure, eating organic food regularly is more expensive, but not anything compared to the medical bills of those who don’t. People brag about medical coverage, low deductibles, minimum co-pays, and their HSA, but when the SHTF, and they can’t work, need surgery, and can’t enjoy their life because they’re sick, in pain, and miserable, what did all those cheap grocery bills really accomplish? On the flip side though, people who think all organic food is clean food and the answer to their health problems are blindly mistaken, because at least 30 percent of all USDA certified organic food contains “food stuff,” fillers, and funk that does cause health detriment, is a waste of money, and fuels Big Food companies that have bought out certain organic labels and polluted the products with junk.
Special Guest – Michael Tyrrell!
Michael is an author, visionary, musician, composer, and producer. He exists to bring love, healing and motivation to a hurting world and in turn, inspire others in our generation to do the same.
Michael S. Tyrrell is the mastermind behind Wholetones, a music designed to produce healing sensations delivered through specific tonal frequencies. Prior to developing Wholetones in the mid-2010s, Tyrrell worked as a Christian music songwriter and producer, additionally releasing several albums of his own material. Tyrrell learned guitar as a child and began pursuing music in his teens. He had a spiritual
awakening as an adult, after which he devoted himself to Christian music. Initially he worked with Mylon LeFevre & Broken Heart, then he became a worship leader in his own right. In 2002 he released the album The Burning Man under the name Michael Shawn Tyrrell, followed by 2006’s Change and 2011’s Downside Up as Michael Tyrrell. In 2014 he launched Wholetones, the project that made his name. Wholetones was available in a variety of incarnations, several of which included bonus books and DVDs explaining how these sonic frequencies were designed to heal the body. These variations — including a Wholetones for soothing dogs — came as the project gained popularity over the next few years.

Sleep is essential to our health, yet, over 70 million Americans suffer from sleep problems. Though it may appear like we’re not doing much when we’re sleeping, our bodies perform maintenance to keep us healthy while we sleep. When we don’t get enough sleep, our bodies don’t function at their best. Few of us realize that how we behave and what we consume may be contributing to our lack of sleep.
People with insomnia tend to have trouble falling asleep, staying asleep throughout the night, or waking up too early in the morning. Not getting enough sleep means more than just a bad day ahead. Poor quality sleep can harm your health long-term; sleep deprivation is linked to obesity and high blood pressure, poor concentration, and lack of energy for exercising, healthy eating, and leisure activities.
Many people with insomnia have tried melatonin, Benadryl (diphenhydramine), even smoking cannabis (marijuana) to help them sleep. Doctors prescribe Xanax (alprazolam), Valium (diazepam), Ambien (zolpidem), and trazodone to help people overcome sleep problems. For many, these do not help them sleep better and the side effects and withdrawal symptoms can be frustrating and dangerous.
Too many of us are suffering from poor sleep. Nearly one-third of Americans say they lie awake at least a few nights each week.
