As detailed on PsychDrugShooters.com, over 100 mass shooting events have been carried out by people who are taking psychiatric medications.
Still refusing to recommend vitamin D, the pharmaceutical industry now wants to use a CANCER drug to treat the common flu Big Pharma doesn’t miss a single trick when it comes to making money out of human suffering, and just such an opportunity was recently handed to them on a platter, when researchers discovered that a cancer treatment drug has the potential to halt the flu virus in its tracks.The U.K.’s Daily Mail is reporting that a team of cancer researchers from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in New York, investigating drugs for the treatment of cancer tumors, accidentally discovered that one such medication can treat and speed up recovery from the flu virus.
Cancer: To Fight or Not to Fight This summer’s congressional battles over the future of healthcare consumed the attention of most healthcare professionals. And no single event received more attention than the dramatic appearance of Senator John McCain, who returned to the Senate floor days after undergoing surgery for glioblastoma to cast the deciding no vote on a Republican replacement bill. He was greeted with applause by well-wishers of all political stripes and a Twitter storm of advice and encouragement urging him to fight the disease.
In a recent Medscape commentary, however, Arthur L. Caplan, PhD, a nationally recognized ethicist, questioned the wisdom of this kind of advice, leading to broad and passionate commentary. Many agreed that the reflex to urge any cancer patient to fight is not correct.
CDC: Obesity linked to increased risk for cancer While the rate of new cancer cases has decreased overallsince the 1990s, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report this week that increases in overweight and obesity-related cancers are slowing this progress. The CDC reports in a new study that being overweight or obese is associated with an increased risk of 13 types of cancer. The cancers linked to obesity by the CDC include esophageal cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer, rectal cancer, endometrium, gallbladder, gastric cardia, kidney, liver, ovarian, pancreatic, thyroid cancer and multiple myeloma.
Mom who refused to vaccinate son thrown in jail Rebecca Bredow’s anti-vaccination stance landed her in the big house. The Detroit mother was sentenced to one week in jail on Wednesday when she appeared in court for failing to comply with the court’s order, according to 7 Action News. Bredow was found in contempt of court for refusing to vaccinate her 9-year-old son after being ordered by a judge to do so. “I would rather sit behind bars standing up for what I believe in, than giving in to something I strongly don’t believe in,” Bredow said in court.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus announces she has breast cancer, calls for universal health care Actress and “Veep” star Julia Louis-Dreyfus has been diagnosed with breast cancer, according to a statement on her Twitter. The comedian and actress called for universal health care in a brief statement revealing her diagnosis. “1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I’m the one,” she wrote Thursday. “The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union,” she added. “The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let’s fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality.”
