Monday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
Weedkiller found in granola and crackers, internal FDA emails show US government scientists have detected a weedkiller linked to cancer in an array of commonly consumed foods, emails obtained through a freedom of information request show. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been testing food samples for residues of glyphosate, the active ingredient in hundreds of widely used herbicide products, for two years, but has not yet released any official results. But the internal documents obtained by the Guardian show the FDA has had trouble finding any food that does not carry traces of the pesticide. “I have brought wheat crackers, granola cereal and corn meal from home and there’s a fair amount in all of them,” FDA chemist Richard Thompson wrote to colleagues in an email last year regarding glyphosate. Thompson, who is based in an FDA regional laboratory in Arkansas, wrote that broccoli was the only food he had “on hand” that he found to be glyphosate-free.
Meanwhile, Germany Gets It….
Germany to Put ‘Massive Restrictions’ on Monsanto Weedkiller German Agriculture Minister Julia Kloeckner announced Tuesday she is drafting regulation to stop use of glyphosate in the country’s home gardens, parks and sports facilities, Reuters reported. The minister also plans to set “massive restrictions” for its use in agriculture, with exemptions for areas that are prone to erosion and cannot be worked with heavy machinery. “I am planning a regulatory draft as a first building block in the strategy to minimize use of glyphosate,” Kloeckner said. She said the proposal would be vetted by other ministries but did not set a deadline to end use of the herbicide. Glyphosate, the active ingredient Monsanto’s Roundup, is the world’s best-selling weedkiller and has been used for more than 40 years. In Germany, about 40 percent of crop-growing land is treated with glyphosate. The chemical has been at the center of international controversy since 2015, when the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer classified it as “probably carcinogenic.” The European Food Safety Authority, as well as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, consider it safe.
This Is A Shocking Statistic
One in four adults report having arthritis Between 1999 and 2014, nearly one-quarter of American adults reported having arthritis, according to a study published recently in the American Journal of Public Health. Juyoung Park, Ph.D., from the Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla., and colleagues analyzed data on 43,706 community-dwelling adults (≥20 years) who participated in the 1999 to 2014 National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys. The authors sought to determine the prevalence trends of osteoarthritis (OA), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and other types of arthritis in the United States. The researchers found that the age-adjusted prevalence of arthritis was 24.7 percent (OA, 9.7 percent; RA, 4.2 percent; other arthritis, 2.8 percent). Over the study period the prevalence of OA increased from 6.6 to 14.3 percent, while RA prevalence decreased from 5.9 to 3.8 percent. This increase in OA prevalence was significant for men and women, multiple races, and people with high socioeconomic status. Men, non-Hispanic blacks, and participants with low income or obesity had the most pronounced decrease in RA prevalence.
Sanjay Gupta Nails It Again!
A CNN SPECIAL REPORT: Dr. Sanjay Gupta WEED 4: Pot Vs Pills Politicians promise to lead the country out of the worst drug crisis in its history, but opioid abuse continues to kill Americans in record numbers. Are our leaders ignoring a lifesaving solution? Over 115 Americans die every day from opioid overdoses, more than those killed in car accidents, from breast cancer or even guns. Nearly 2.5 million Americans struggle with opioid addiction, and though controversial, some people believe a potentially lifesaving solution may lie in medical marijuana. In the fourth installment of his groundbreaking series, CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta takes an in-depth look at marijuana’s potential as both an alternative to opioids in treating pain and in ending opioid addiction. In the special, Gupta meets pioneers in the field of pain management as well as addiction research who believe that marijuana is the next best hope for treating both. He also speaks with those who have struggled with addiction including an exclusive interview with NFL running back Mike James. In 2013 James suffered a devastating leg injury during a Monday night football game. He was given opioids after surgery to treat his pain, and months later he found himself addicted. Scared and worried, his wife suggested he try marijuana, a drug that is banned by the NFL and could cost any player their careers. Today, James is making history as the first player to file for a therapeutic use exemption for cannabis with the NFL.
Get Those Kiddos In The Garden!
Gardening isn’t just for adults Still having a hard time getting your kids to eat fruits and veggies? Studies show one solution is to grow your own. Kids get excited as they watch a garden yield fresh foods and are more motivated to eat what they helped grow. It gives kids a good understanding of what it takes to get vegetables to the dinner table and teaches them about healthy food choices. Gardening is also a great way to take a break from all the technology, and get into extra exercise and enjoy being outdoors. Whether you have a small patio bucket or can allocate square footage in your backyard, start your planning now. It’s important to know which growing zone you are in, so use online resources to determine your right climate zone and planting times. To get kids interested, the Arizona Farm Bureau suggests looking through colorful seed catalogs together and letting them help pick out choices. But you don’t need to bore them with every planning detail.
Hour 2 – Advanced Medicine with Dr. Rashid Buttar!
Dr. Buttar is back to talk about what’s happening in the world of health news. Here’s what we have in store for you today:
Latest CDC autism figures show 15 percent rise Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are conditions that affect development. They impact the ways a person interacts with other people and alter how they perceive the world. And, though every case is different, the most common symptoms include delayed speech development, trouble interacting with peers, and repetitive behaviors. As for prevalence, in 2016, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimated that it affected 1 in 68 children — about 1.5 percent of all children. However, this week, they updated this estimate. The revision comes off the back of the CDC’s Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network. This tracking system follows more than 325,000 8-year-old children, which accounts for around 8 percent of all 8-year-olds in the United States.
Global Joint Statement from 5 Nations Meeting in Japan Exposes Injuries and Discrimination Against HPV Vaccine Victims The dangers of the Gardasil HPV vaccine are routinely censored in the U.S., where the official medical and government position on the vaccine is that it is “safe and effective.” Enjoying legal immunity in the U.S. for any harm suffered as a result of the Gardasil vaccine, Merck and the U.S. government are seeking to increase the market for the vaccine. News outside the U.S., however, is very different. Some governments, such as Japan, no longer recommend the vaccine, and there are lawsuits suing for damages resulting from the HPV vaccines in numerous countries. In March of 2018 an international symposium was held at the University of Tokyo and attended by representatives from the UK, Ireland, Japan, Colombia and Spain to discuss the needs of victims who have suffered, and in some cases died, as a result of the HPV vaccine. They discussed both the medical and legal needs of HPV vaccine victims. Representatives from these 5 nations, which include scientists and medical professionals, have issued a joint “Global Statement” regarding the victims of HPV vaccines that you are not likely to read in the U.S. corporate-sponsored “mainstream” media.
How much does your doctor actually know about nutrition? Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Cut down on sweets and processed foods. Increase consumption of fish, nuts and legumes. This rudimentary advice has been dished out to the public for decades, yet soaring rates of diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure and other chronic illnesses linked to poor diet – and which increase risks for stroke and heart disease – fail to reverse. Part of the problem stems from the fact that doctors don’t know how to provide information beyond the basics. Inadequate instruction during medical school, residency and other additional training is a primary reason for this dearth of expertise, according to an American Heart Association science advisory published Monday in the journal Circulation that looked at gaps in nutrition education over the decades.
Questions of The Day!
I have a question for Robert and Dr Buttar bout “upper motor neuron lesion”. At 18 months my son received a MMRV, Hep B, and Tdap vaccine. He lost speak, started stimming and toe walking. He repeatedly failed the Babinski test shown to me by a friend who studied Kinesiology. He said failure is a sign of a about “upper motor neuron lesion”. I knew heavy metals from vaccines were likely the cause. I spent the last two years listening to every lecture given by Boyd Haley on the topic of Mercury & Glutathione, and Every lecture by Dr Suzanne Humphries on Aluminum. So I started studying Homeopathic remedies on my own.
Almost the last 2 years I’ve spent giving my son daily plant based selenium in his applesauce, Horsetail tea to drink for Silica w/ a shot of DMSO for sulfur, Nasant Iodine, Bravo Probiotic Yoghurt Suppositories, and baths with Epsom Salt and MSM “Methylsulfonylmethane” to absorb Magnesium and Sulfur through his skin. My son is now 3.5 he speaks again, no longer stims, but he still toe walks.
What can I do to address the Toe Walking? Is the Neuron lesion permanent? When I tell him to walk heel to toe and does it with no problem, but goes back to toe walking after a while. Is this a lesion issue or breaking a bad habit issue now?
Hi. My 49 y/o friend is starting to develop tremors/decreased sense of smell/difficulty swallowing. He has sadly been taking prescribed methylphenidate and lorazepam for nearly 20 years. He has had a heavy caffeine use history (drinks 2-3 quarts black coffee at (at least it’s organic :)) each day) and used to smoke 1 pack of cigarettes daily (quit 10 yrs ago). He had all his amalgam fillings removed in the spring of 2016. Takes the following supplements daily : New Chapter MVI; Mercola’s magnesium, turmeric, krill and probiotics; Infowars brand of liquid iodine; 5 HTP; Now Foods choline; melatonin (about 10mg per night); Gaia brand adrenal support; Alta Silica (3 caps a day); Innate Response selenium (2 tabs per day); Innate Response GTF chromium (one tab a day); Source Naturals Theanine Serene; Now brand prostate support blend; Valerian Root tincture; and I think that is it (he has always had severe insomnia)! He stopped taking any OTC pharmaceuticals, including ibuprofen and is attempting to taper off of methylphenidate first and then the lorazepam. This is going to be a long painful process. He eats only organic foods and filters water through the Big Berkey filter (including arsenic/fluoride filters). No vaccines in over 10 years. We live in Vermont and I am wondering if either you or Dr. Buttar have anyone you could recommend to help in Vermont and if there are specific steps he should take in order to reverse these symptoms and avoid the so-called “Parkinson’s” diagnosis? Thank you!!!!!
