Apparently USA Today Didn’t Get The Memo….
Yes, the flu season is brutal, but it’s not the worst A fierce flu season that started early still seems to be hitting almost every corner of the country and sowing anxiety nationwide. The epidemic is far from over and may be among the worst in several years, health officials say. But the latest update from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention does not indicate a flu epidemic of historic or rare proportions — just one that could approach the severity of the last moderately severe flu season, in 2014-2015.
What Does It Mean To Be Healthy?
Must we deprive ourselves of all pleasure to stay healthy? In the minds of many, preventative health has thus become synonymous with self-deprivation, restrictions and obligations, a situation I outline in my book Questioning Public Heath (La santé publique en question(s) in French), published by the EHESP School for Public Health. It could be argued that, in the long term, too many warning messages may be counterproductive, or even overwhelming – and therefore bad for our health. Rather than banishing pleasure from our lives, might there be another way to maintain our health and well-being?
Florida Vaccine Mandates Are Coming?
State proposal could force new vaccine requirement for Florida public school students A bill filed this month in the Florida Senate would create a new vaccine requirement for public school students. SB 1558: School Health Immunizations, also known as the “Women’s Cancer Prevention Act”, revises child immunization requirements to include a vaccine for human papillomavirus. “If we’re not given the choice to make our own health care decisions, then what are we given the choice to do,” asked parent England Davis. Davis tells ABC Action News, she is ready to uproot her daughter from school if she’s forced to get vaccinated for HPV.
Gardening – It Helps Everyone Including Cancer Survivors
Gardening May Help Cancer Survivors Eat Better, Feel Greater ‘Worth’ For cancer survivors,
three seasons of home vegetable gardening may increase physical activity, fruits and vegetables in the diet and also enhance feelings of self-worth, researchers say. Possibly as a result of these healthy behaviors, gardeners in the small study also tended to gain less weight around their waists compared to their counterparts on a waiting list for the gardening intervention, the study team reports. It’s estimated there are more than 15 million cancer survivors in the U.S., over two thirds of whom are over age 60, they note in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Hour 2 – Outside The Box With Ty Bollinger!
It’s time to go Outside The Box again with Ty Bollinger! What will we be talking about today?
Another Claim: Tamiflu Caused Child To Twitch, Hallucinate, Bang Head Another North Texas family is speaking out about what they believe are side effects from a popular flu treatment. A Rockwall County family said their nearly 2-year-old son was twitching, hallucinating and slamming his head in pain after taking Tamiflu this month. The odd reactions only stopped they said, when they stopped giving him prescribed doses of the drug. Andrea and Josh Wallen had an ambulance take their son Steven to the hospital this month after he experienced seizures at home. After doctors diagnosed him with the flu and started him on tr
7 of the 8 individuals who died of flu HAD received the flu shot This year’s strain of flu, H3N2,
has been knocking people out- hard. In the news: 7 of the 8 individuals who died of flu had received a FLU SHOT! It does NOT work and can cause “flu-like illness”, suppress your immune system and even cause paralysis or kill you. Eastern Idaho Public Health said that the last report the effectiveness of the flu shot was 30-40%. They suggest fighting the flu by frequent hand-washing. You can also keep your immune system strong by eating healthy, low sugar, get enough sleep, supplement with vitamin c, d, lots of fluids, cook your own meals at home, and stay home if you start feeling ill. The flu shot just doesn’t work and is NOT worth the risk. Don’t listen to the media hype. The reason health officials are still pushing the shot is because CDC and big pharma don’t have a job if you’re healthy. They don’t have funding if you don’t need to keep buying their products.
Turmeric lowers Alzheimer’s risk by improving memory, mood: Study Turmeric – a common ingredient in Indian cuisine – may lower the risk of Alzheimer’s disease by improving memory and mood in people with mild, age-related memory loss, a study claims. The research, published in the American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry, examined the effects of an easily absorbed curcumin supplement on memory performance in people without dementia, as well as curcumins potential impact on the microscopic plaques and tangles in the brains of people with Alzheimer’s disease.
Geoengineering: Creating clouds to stop global warming could wreak havoc on world’s
animals and plants To counteract global warming, humans may someday consider spraying sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere to form clouds — and artificially cool the Earth. The idea behind the process, known as geoengineering, is to keep global warming under control — with the ideal solution still being a reduction in the emissions of greenhouse gases. However, suddenly stopping that spraying would have a “devastating” global impact on animals and plants, potentially even leading to extinction, according to the first study on the potential biological impacts of climate intervention.
