Study: High Fat Ketogenic Diet Enhances Gut Microbiota in Healing Epilepsy Now, a new study is looking at the positive effects of gut bacteria among those following a ketogenic diet for epilepsy. Even though Johns Hopkins used a ketogenic diet for curing epilepsy over 80 years ago, when medical drugs did not help epilepsy effectively, mainstream medicine continues to rely on new and expensive toxic drugs for epileptic children. The “cocktail” combinations of pharmaceutical drugs prescribed often worsens childhood epilepsy.
Health Impact News previously published a report on how a four year old child with refractory epilepsy (not treatable with pharmaceutical medications), was treated at the Rochester, Minnesota Mayo Clinic using a ketogenic diet. At first, the child was also kept on pharmaceuticals. The results were poor until he was taken off the medications; then he began healing completely.
Question of The Day!
I’ve been watching the Live Truth about Cancer broadcast and seen your talk on the gut and microbiome. I have a 1 1/2 year old daughter, my first child, who has never been on antibiotics. I would like to keep it that way. I heard that your children have never been on antibiotics. What did you use in place of antibiotics to cure illness? I looked up the Sovereign Silver and it says for ages 4 and up. What could I use for my daughter and are there any illnesses, in your beliefs, that warrant the use of antibiotics?
Thank you! 🙂
Marijuana legalization is driving up fast food sales as tokers get the munchies The benefits of the legalization of marijuana extend beyond the cannabis industry and the lives of the people who use it. A new study shows that in states where marijuana has been legalized, fast food sales are on the rise.
It’s no secret that cannabis can increase its users’ appetites, which is why it’s not unusual to hear people talking about getting “the munchies” while under its influence. This is apparently leading many people to their local fast food joint for a quick fix, if a new study from Consumer Research Around Cannabis and the Green Market Report is anything to go by.
Can CBD oil help anxiety? What you need to know Much of the research on cannabis products has looked at the use of marijuana rather than at CBD oil as a standalone product. Some studies have found that cannabis might help anxiety. Others suggest that having anxiety is a risk factor for recreational marijuana use, or that using marijuana can make a person more vulnerable to anxiety.
People interested in managing their anxiety with CBD oil should look exclusively at research on cannabidiol, not generalized studies of medical marijuana. Although there are fewer studies on cannabidiol specifically, the preliminary research is promising.
Dr. Buttar is back to help us dissect the mainstream media narrative in health related news. Topics we will cover today will include:
Outrage over pharmaceutical company that created ‘fake’ cancer patients Corporations have a responsibility to their customers and the public to be ethical, honest, and forthright. But that obligation is heightened to a degree for pharmaceutical firms, especially the ones whose customers are dealing with serious illness or acute, chronic pain.
Executives concocted an elaborate scheme in which they created “fake” cancer patients to improve sales, according to a Senate investigation whose findings were released last week. The report from the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs was released just days after Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich filed a consumer fraud lawsuit against Insys and three doctors over a “marketing scheme” to increase sales of the drug. Brnovich called the action part of a fight against “the unethical and greedy behavior in the pharmaceutical industry that is fueling the opioid crisis in our state.”
American Heart Association Says Meditation May Reduce Heart Disease The American Heart Association has joined the chorus of voices recognizing the benefits of a regular meditation practice. In a statement titled, “Meditation and Cardiovascular Risk Reduction: A Scientific Statement From the American Heart Association,” the AHA calls meditation a “potential attractive cost‐effective adjunct to more traditional medical therapies.”
The AHA conducted a systematic review of the studies on potential benefits of meditation on cardiovascular risk and found that, “Overall, studies of meditation suggest a possible benefit on cardiovascular risk.” The AHA did caution that the overall quality and quantity of study data is “modest”. The AHA looked at studies examining the physiological response to stress, smoking cessation, blood pressure reduction, insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome, endothelial function, inducible myocardial ischemia, and primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease.
SKEPDUCK ALERT – (FOX NEWS)The “dangers” of using ‘home remedies’ for serious illnesses One, the home remedy recommended by your friend — or one of the many websites promoting “natural therapies” — might not work. And two, it could make you sicker or even kill you. That’s exactly what happened to an Australian man who developed cyanide poisoning after taking high doses of apricot kernel extract, hoping to prevent his prostate cancer from returning.
Exposing the Cholesterol Myth: Big Pharma and Their Corporate “Mainstream” Media Strike Back It seems to coincide that when fraudulent medical or nutritional dogma promoted by mainstream medicine or government nutritional institutions starts getting exposed in the alternative media, they both double down with the aid of mainstream media, especially if the result of that exposure is lowered sales of statin drugs and processed non-fat foods. This is what is happening with both statin drugs and saturated fat disinformation.
But now the empire is striking back.
There has been a great deal of success exposing this fraud from online sites like Health Impact News and others, about both the lack of efficacy and danger from using statin drugs while pointing out the fallacy of what they’re supposed to protect us from, cholesterol from saturated fats.
Question of The Day!
My husband was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis aproximately 11 years ago. He took the doctor prescribed “death” pills for not quite a month before he realized that they were going to kill him and had the potential of killing any of our unborn babies.
We found Jordan Rubin’s book the Maker’s Diet and did the best we could to heal his gut without the use of supplements, as we did not have the funds to purchase ANYTHING at that time (no health insurance either so we had a lot of medical bills). We gradually made lifestyle changes over the following 11 years, including eliminating gluten (had a huge impact on him and half of our six daughters) and switching over to eating almost ALL raw, organic, non-GMO foods and very few processed foods at all. These have all had positive impacts on his health.
Recently he has been having severe abdominal pain again and I am not certain how to address it. He refuses to go to doctors (he has an overactive vagus response) so I am on a continued mission to better serve and bring my husband back to optimal health.
He is in construction, which is very physically taxing on him, but I believe cleaning his gut and keeping him on the cleanest diet as possible will help heal and prevent any further damage to his digestive system. He needs to be around for a few more years to help me raise these babies!!!
ALL that being said, what would your suggestion be for the silver and aloe protocol for a 200# 6′ tall man?
Thank you for your time!
