Twenty Grim Realities Unearthed by Lockdowns It’s common now to speak of the before times in contrast to the after times. The turning point was of course March 16, 2020, the day of 15 Days to Flatten the Curve, though authoritarian trends predate that. Rights were suddenly broadly throttled, even religious rights. We were told to conduct every aspect of our lives in accordance with the priorities of the bio-medical security state. Very few people anticipated such a shocking development. It was the onset of a new state-conducted war and the enemy was something we could not see and hence could be anywhere. No one has ever doubted the omnipresence of potentially dangerous pathogens but now we were being told that life itself depended entirely on avoidance of them and the only guide going forward would be public-health authorities. Everything changed. Nothing is the same. The trauma is real and lasting. The claim of “15 Days” was revealed to be a ruse. The emergency lasted three years and then some. The people and machinery that did this are still in power. The pick to head the CDC has a long track record of enabling and cheering the lockdowns and all that followed. It’s a helpful exercise to summarize the new things we’ve all discovered in these years. Together they account for why the world seems different and why we all feel and think differently now than we did just a few years ago.
Will a ‘national patient safety board,’ modeled after the NTSB, actually fly? People concerned about the safety of patients often compare health care to aviation. Why, they ask, can’t hospitals learn from medical errors the way airlines learn from plane crashes? That’s the rationale behind calls to create a “National Patient Safety Board,” an independent federal agency that would be loosely modeled after the National Transportation Safety Board, which is credited with increasing the safety of skies, railways, and highways by investigating why accidents occur and recommending steps to avoid future mishaps. But as worker shortages strain the U.S. health care system, heightening concerns about unsafe care, one proposal to create such a board has some patient safety advocates fearing that it wouldn’t provide the transparency and accountability they believe is necessary to drive improvement. One major reason: the power of the hospital industry. Two measures are underway to create a safety board: A bill filed in the U.S. House in December by Rep. Nanette Diaz Barragán (D-Calif.), which is expected to be refiled this session, calls for the creation of a board to help federal agencies monitor safety events, identify conditions under which problems occur, and suggest preventive measures.
World Health Assembly Cites Need to ‘Restrict Personal Liberties’ and Expand WHO’s Emergency Powers The World Health Organization (WHO) this week concluded its 76th World Health Assembly (WHA) without ratifying a new pandemic treaty or the proposed amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHR). However, the meetings, held May 21-30 in Geneva, Switzerland, did include announcements about new WHO bodies created to respond to pandemic threats and new calls to “restrict personal liberties” during health emergencies. The meetings also included circulation of the new “bureau’s text” of the pandemic treaty, dated May 22, but the WHA did not make available an updated document for the proposed IHR amendments. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus urged member states to reach an agreement on both instruments by 2024. Independent journalist James Roguski, who has extensively tracked the pandemic treaty and IHR amendment negotiations, described this year’s WHA as “a big theatrical production.” “You can focus on a million details and forget that what they are doing is negotiating these documents,” Roguski told The Defender. “It’s a dog and pony show.” Roguski said it was always the WHO’s plan not to ratify the treaty and amendments during the WHA meetings, despite warnings to the contrary by some analysts whom he accused of “fearmongering.” It was “always their schedule … they’ve been saying all along they’re shooting for 2024,” he said.
Fired COVID Whistleblower Doesn’t Want to Settle His Case Ming Lin, MD, the emergency medicine physician from Washington state who was fired early in the COVID pandemic for publicly airing alleged safety concerns, said he has broken with his lawyers over their advice to settle his case. In a Facebook postopens in a new tab or window, Lin said his lawyers “have asked me to accept a monetary settlement as they have abruptly determined that a trial would be too costly and is not worth the financial risk.” Lin told the Cascadia Daily Newsopens in a new tab or window that he wants his former employer, PeaceHealth, to admit wrongdoing instead. “Morally this is unacceptable to me as my silence is not for sale,” Lin wrote in the Facebook post. “The objective of my lawsuit has always been to expose the facts that healthcare workers are retaliated against for speaking up for their patients’ safety. Acknowledgement is the first step needed to solve this problem.” “To me the root of the problem has always been corporate healthcare as it prioritizes profit over patient care and staff safety,” he noted. In May 2020, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Washington filed a lawsuit against PeaceHealthopens in a new tab or window on behalf of Lin. About 2 months prior, Lin had written a letter to the chief medical officer of his hospital, St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham, Washington, and shared it on his Facebook pageopens in a new tab or window. He raised concerns about visitor screening, personal protective equipment, and testing of staff and patients, among others.
Question of The Day!
Hi Robert,
Wow I have chill bumps writing this and some tears. I am new to you and saw you on the holistic oral health summit the only one I watched and then looked you up and saw this! Wow! I Subscribed!
I will be brief. I successfully fought stage 3 cancer naturally and won (nock on wood) but I still have mild diverticulitis and mild candida. My problem is I CANT heal my gut ( upper digestive pain, bad, bad lower digestive pain and pain at Sigmoid surgery area. I just fasted for 84 hours cleaned up my diet, did a Gi map ( low Iga, high Zonulin and food sensitivity test. ( I have tried almost everything and almost everything (herbs, supplements) hurts me when I injest, its as if my stomach instantly sends a signal this is going to hurt you, it really does) but…. I am making some progress since taking enteric coated Trybuterine x. I saw the silver/ aloe protocol is there anything else that could be beneficial or maybr do the Trybuterine x after your protocol. And is there a Dr. you could recommend. I’m so sick of being sick, I have hypothyroid, autoimmune and work construction so energy is a battle. I believe I blew out all four layers of my gut through heavy beer drinking, toxic remodels and severe un- managed stress. I meditate and do tapping now! Thank You for your time!
P.S I am a staunch health freedom advocate!!! Just saying.
