7 On Your Side Investigates unvaccinated students quarantined in New York schools At least a handful of students in Suffolk County were kept out of class Wednesday for violating new vaccination orders. The quarantine of sorts is largely in response to a new state law eliminating religious exemptions from immunizations. Analysis of state enrollment and vaccination records by “7 On Your Side Investigates” indicated more than 26,000 students statewide and nearly 2,800 students in Suffolk County held religious exemptions in the 2017-2018 school year. All of those students are now facing a deadline to begin required immunizations within 14 days of the start of the fall semester or be excluded from school. The new law was passed in June following a nationwide measles outbreak, largely impacting New York, in an effort to increase vaccination and immunity rates. “It doesn’t take a lot of people not vaccinating their children and then the whole community is at risk,” said Dr. Roberto Posada, a pediatric expert in infectious diseases at Mount Sinai.
Special Guest Breeauna Sagdal
Breeauna Sagdal has been part of this community for many years, working tirelessly to make it a better place. As an advocate for family rights, she has used her media and professional contacts to shed light on Oregon DHS abuses, due process violations, and child trafficking. As a mother she has fought hard for medical freedom, and freedom of choice. As a grassroots leader, she’s helped bring thousands of Oregonians together to redress grievances in Salem, and she will bring that same dedication and voice to the Clackamas County Commission. She’s running for YOU, but cannot do it alone. Please help her, to help you.

Alberta parents David and Collet Stephan found not guilty in their toddler’s death after retrial An Alberta couple who treated their son’s illness with natural remedies rather than take him to a doctor have been found not guilty in the toddler’s death after a retrial. David and Collet Stephan were tried on charges of failing to provide the necessaries of life to 19-month-old Ezekiel, who died in 2012. Supporters in the courtroom cheered and Collet Stephan cried as she hugged her husband. Court of Queen’s Bench Justice Terry Clackson spoke to the court in Lethbridge, Alta., for only four minutes on Thursday before releasing his written decision in the judge-alone trial. The judge ultimately sided with the defence’s medical experts in finding the boy had viral not bacterial meningitis and ultimately died of a lack of oxygen. Speaking with the media after the decision was handed down, David Stephan called the last seven years an “emotional roller-coaster.” “We didn’t know what to expect coming into today, and it’s the right decision, and it’s shocking because it’s been seven years of our life fighting this so it’s become part of our identity,” he said.

Fully-vaccinated doctor says she is 2nd confirmed measles case in York County A physician with WellSpan Health came forward and identified herself as the second confirmed measles case in York County. Dr. Jennifer McCabe a physician at WellSpan Family Medicine — Stony Brook, said she was fully vaccinated against the virus and has decided to disclose her diagnosis because she believes that “public education regarding this virus is in the best interest of our community.” McCabe said she was vaccinated twice and tested positive for presumed immunity against measles three times in the last 20 years, most recently within the past two days. “The vaccine is very safe, and very effective,” she said. “Two doses of the MMR, which is what the CDC recommends, is 97 percent effective in preventing measles.” McCabe said she and WellSpan followed all CDC and Department of Health guidelines, but she still got the measles, as she is one of the small percentage of people where the vaccine is not effective.
Question of The Day!
Since vaccine manufacturers are willingly joined to government (taxpayers), can someone access their vaccine communications via FOIA? Has this been tried? Can they be considered an agency of the US government?
My senator says that VAERS awards are paid for by vaccine manufacturers due to the tax being placed on each shot. Can this statement be true, if the tax is passed on to the consumer?
Philippines declares new polio outbreak after 19 years Philippine health officials declared a polio outbreak in the country on Thursday, nearly two decades after the World Health Organization declared it to be free of the highly contagious and potentially deadly disease. Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said at a news conference that authorities have confirmed at least one case of polio in a 3-year-old girl in southern Lanao del Sur province and detected the polio virus in sewage in Manila and in waterways in the southern Davao region. Those findings are enough to declare an outbreak of the crippling disease in a previously polio-free country like the Philippines, he said. The World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund expressed deep concern over polio’s reemergence in the country and said they would support the government in immunizing children, who are the most susceptible, and strengthening surveillance. “As long as one single child remains infected, children across the country and even beyond are at risk of contracting polio,” UNICEF Philippines representative Oyun Dendevnorov said.
Drugmaker halts shipments of ranitidine heartburn medication after contaminant Drugmaker Novartis said it is halting distribution of all ranitidine medicines made by Sandoz, a measure it called “precautionary” after the acid-reducing medications were found to contain an impurity. The move comes after the US Food and Drug Administration and European Medicines Agency announced earlier this month that tests showed some ranitidine products contained NDMA, which is classified as a probable human carcinogen based on lab tests. The FDA is evaluating whether the low levels of NDMA in ranitidine pose a risk to patients and said it will share the information when it is available. Ranitidine is an over-the-counter and prescription histamine-2 blocker, which decreases the amount of stomach acid. “A precautionary distribution stop of all Sandoz ranitidine-containing medicines in all our markets will remain in place under further clarification, this includes capsules in the USA. Our internal investigation is ongoing to determine further details. In case of concerns, adequate additional measures will be implemented in alignment with relevant Health Authorities as required,” Novartis said in a emailed statement.
