FDA warns puberty blocker may cause brain swelling, vision loss in children Earlier this month, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration added a warning to gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists, commonly known as “puberty blockers,” indicating there were serious risks for youth who take them. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) identified six cases in females between the ages of 5 and 12, who were taking GnRH agonists, which presented “a plausible association between GnRH agonist use and pseudotumor cerebri.” Pseudotumor cerebri, also known as idiopathic intracranial hypertension, occurs when the pressure inside your skull spontaneously increases, which can cause brain swelling, severe headaches, nausea, double vision, and even permanent vision loss, according to the Mayo Clinic. “The agency considered the cases clinically serious and, based on these reviews, determined that pseudotumor cerebri (idiopathic intracranial hypertension) should be added as a warning and precaution in product labeling for all GnRH agonist formulations approved for use in pediatric patients,” an FDA spokesperson told Formulary Watch. “Although the mechanism by which GnRH agonists may lead to development of pseudotumor cerebri has not been elucidated, and patients with CPP may have a higher baseline risk of developing pseudotumor cerebri compared with children without CPP, this potential serious risk associated with GnRH agonists justifies inclusion in product labeling.”

SF, NY declare health emergencies over monkeypox outbreak The city of San Francisco and the state of New York on Thursday declared health emergencies over the monkeypox outbreak. Why it matters: The disease was declared a global emergency by the World Health Organization last week. Details: The city of San Francisco declared a “local public health emergency” with the aim of creating more “flexibility” to increase testing and vaccine distribution, and “allow us to use all the resources in our power to contain the outbreak,” California state Sen. Scott Wiener said in a statement. Wiener had called for the declaration. In New York state, health commissioner Mary Bassett declared the disease an “imminent threat to public health,” News 12 reports. The declaration is retroactive, starting on June 1. What they’re saying: In a post outlining the declaration, San Fransisco Mayor London Breed said the local emergency would “strengthen the City’s preparedness” by allowing it to “mobilize City recourses,” “streamline staffing,” and “coordinate agencies across the city.” “During COVID, we used our Local Emergency to pop up emergency vaccine sites. To deploy workers to immediate needs. To be able to move government bureaucracy nimbly to confront the virus,” Breed added. “That’s the kind of actions this Local Emergency will allow us to do.”

Inventing Diagnoses to Cover Up Vaccine Injury — a Con as Old as Vaccination Itself So-called “fact-checkers” are having to work double-time to come up with ways to deny the undeniable fact that COVID-19 vaccines are causing injuries and deaths on a massive scale. The shot pushers and their media enablers have taken cover-up tactics to absurd new heights by, for example, chalking up the rash of fatal heart attacks and overnight deaths in athletes and young adults to a fluky condition referred to variously as “sudden adult death syndrome” or “sudden arrhythmic death syndrome” (SADS). What the COVID-19 vaccine-injured do not necessarily recognize, however, is the pretense that post-vaccination injuries and deaths are just “sad coincidences” — far from being unique to the pandemic jabs — is a trick as old as vaccination itself. Facilitated by well-honed semantic and statistical flimflam, public health officials’ core strategy for perpetuating their fiction is to profess innocence — making unabashedly unsubstantiated pronouncements about vaccine safety, on the one hand, while on the other hand, declaring themselves “baffled” by ailments that emerge in the aftermath of a given vaccine’s rollout.  In an astonishingly frank and prescient book, “The Fallacy of Vaccination,” published in 1899, Dr. Alexander Wilder called attention to the “growing conviction” among “profounder thinkers and observers” that vaccination was not only “utterly useless as a preventive” but “actually the means of disseminating disease afresh where it is performed.”
