New Bill Would Prohibit Federal Funding for Health Care Facilities That Deny Care to Unvaccinated Patients A new bill in Congress would ban federal funding for institutions that deny care to patients for not having a COVID-19 vaccine, after multiple patients in the United States seeking transplants have been rejected over their vaccination status. The 2-page bill states that “no funds authorized or appropriated by Federal law, and none of the funds in any trust fund to which funds are authorized or appropriated by Federal law … shall be made available to a facility that refuses to provide treatment to an individual based on the COVID-19 vaccination status of such individual.” The legislation is called the COVID-19 Vaccination Non-Discrimination Act. “No American should be denied access to critical care based on a personal medical decision, yet tragically, many hospitals and other medical facilities continue to discriminate against those unvaccinated for COVID-19,” Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), a doctor who cosponsored the legislation, said in a statement. He said that the bill “will protect the rights of vulnerable patients to make their own health care choices and ensure that federal taxpayer dollars do not support facilities that turn away patients based on their COVID-19 vaccination status.”

Until we drum up the courage to look at ourselves in the mirror and acknowledge how lost we were, how misled, how blind, how selfish, how vain and how far from the light we had drifted, we stand no chance to reverse the tragic course of events that are unfolding in front of our eyes, for even if it were to hit us, we would not see it coming.

CDC: 57% of Teen Girls Feel Sad, Hopeless; 24% Made Plans for Suicide Depression and thoughts of suicide have dramatically increased among teen girls, following a ten-year trend, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). According to a new CDC study, 57 percent of high school girls reported feelings of sadness or hopeless in 2021 (a 58 percent increase from 2011), while 30 percent seriously considered suicide (a nearly 60 percent increase from 2011), and 24 percent made plans for suicide (a 60 percent increase from 2011). The rate at which teen girls felt sadness or hopelessness is about double the rate of their male counterparts, but the mental health of America’s young people is generally poor. Forty-two percent of high school students overall felt persistent sadness or hopelessness, 22 percent seriously considered suicide, 18 percent made a plan for suicide, and 10 percent attempted suicide. These are the highest numbers reported in a decade. The Youth Risk Behavior Survey, which is conducted every two years, was administered to around 17,000 students across the country in 2021. “As we saw in the 10 years prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, mental health among students overall continues to worsen, with more than 40% of high school students feeling so sad or hopeless that they could not engage in their regular activities for at least two weeks during the previous year – a possible indication of the experience of depressive symptoms,” the CDC said of their findings. “We also saw significant increases in the percentage of youth who seriously considered suicide, made a suicide plan, and attempted suicide.”

NYC teachers who refused COVID vaccine slapped with ‘scarlet letter’ in personnel files: lawyer Fired city teachers and other school employees who refused to get the COVID-19 vaccine were blacklisted with a “scarlet letter” in their personnel files by Mayor Eric Adams’ administration — hindering their ability to find work elsewhere, says the lawyer repping a slew of them. The city Department of Education put a special “code” indicating wrongdoing in the files of the terminated workers, most of whom declined to get the vaccine because of religious beliefs, said their lawyer, John Bursch. “Loosely speaking, it is like a scarlet letter,” Bursch told The Post on Tuesday. “The employee’s personnel file shows a [generic] problem code that could just as easily be [for] committing a crime as declining to take a vaccine for religious reasons. In some instances, when plaintiffs tried to obtain employment elsewhere, they were told that they were red-flagged because of the problem code.” Bursch made the bombshell claim during oral arguments Feb. 8 in the federal case New Yorkers for Religious Liberty vs. The City of New York, but the issue just came to light in a Fox News Channel report Tuesday.
Most vs. least vaccinated states: Can you guess which did better when COVID broke out? According to US News & World Report, Wyoming is the least vaccinated state (52.8%) and Rhode Island is the most vaccinated state. So just for fun, I thought I’d see how these states fared when there was a huge COVID infection outbreak at the start of 2022 that affected both these states. It turned out that the least vaccinated state had the lower rise in all-cause mortality (1.25 vs. 1.42) vs. avg mortality for the year. In other words, vaccination appeared to increase all-cause mortality when COVID hit. However, it might be the case that Rhode Island simply was “hit harder” by the COVID wave with twice as many COVID infections per capita. Or was Rhode Island hit harder because more people were vaccinated and thus more susceptible to infection which is what the Cleveland Clinic study showed very clearly? By looking at a younger age group, we see a 3X disparity between the two states. The least vaccinated state came out on top. We have further, and more conclusive, confirmation from an extensive study done by Josh Stirling. There is simply no way for anyone to explain those results which looked at every county in the US. The bottom line: higher vaccination —> higher deaths for all age groups. That’s why 15-year-olds with heart attacks are now the new normal when they were non-existent before the vaccines rolled out. COVID waves are when the CDC would expect the most vaccinated states to do the best compared to the average death rate for the year. So we’d expect a smaller rise in deaths during a COVID infection wave compared to the deaths over the year. The biggest COVID death peak is at the start of 2022.
