Thursday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
Sacred Fire of Liberty!
It’s that time of the week where we get to explore the political healing that this country needs so desperately! Jonathan Emord is here to help us dissect the latest political news that’s fit to print:
Trump: Report that Obama FBI spied on campaign could be ‘bigger than Watergate’ President Trump on Thursday touted a report saying the FBI under former President Obama spied on the Trump campaign during the 2016 presidential race, saying that the revelation could be “bigger than Watergate.” “Wow, word seems to be coming out that the Obama FBI ‘SPIED ON THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN WITH AN IMBEDDED INFORMANT,'” the president tweeted in reference to a National Review report published last week.
NYT’s Kristof: The Media Is Missing Important Stories With ‘All Trump, All the Time’ Addiction New YorkTimes columnist Nicholas Kristof acknowledged the media’s problematic addiction to President Donald Trump and said it’s time to break the habit. But while on CNN, Kristof noted to Brian Stelter the biggest culprits are channels just like the one on which he was appearing, stating “we in the media are essentially all Trump, all the time, and frankly, it’s a little rude to say, this, but I think cable television is — particularly cable TV.” Although there is public demand for stories on presidential scandals and White House leaks, the 24/7 Trump coverage comes at a cost, leaving little room for anything else. “And the upshot is that we risk not covering a lot of really important things at home and around the world, and we complain that President Trump is, you know, is parochial, isn’t paying attention to important things around the world, and we’re absolutely right, Kristof said. “But that can also be said about us.”
How Obama’s PROMISE program resulted in the murder of schoolchildren in Parkland An Obama-era disciplinary policy that effectively shields “minority” schoolchildren from arrest and prosecution for certain crimes they commit appears to have been directly linked to the mass shooting incident that reportedly took place back on February 14, 2018, at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Known as the PROMISE program, the policy, implemented by Obama, was offered up as a way to help combat “systemic racism” in the public school system – a government response to the supposedly disproportionate number of “minority” students compared to “non-minority” students who were being arrested on school campuses.
An appeals court says CA can list the herbicide glyphosate as a carcinogen After much fanfare, a state appeals court has ruled that California can list glyphosate as a carcinogen — and that the state’s ban on discharging the herbicide into public waterways stands, too. Despite Monsanto’s best efforts to keep the toxicity of their product under wraps, the ruling in California is undoubtedly a small victory for concerned consumers and environmental advocates everywhere. The great debate surrounding glyphosate has been in full swing for quite some time now. But in spite of this ruling, its clear that the drama and the controversies (and the health risks) coming from Monsanto and their flagship product, glyphosate-containing Roundup, are far from over. Since the Golden State first proposed that Monsanto’s glyphosate-containing products should be recognized as carcinogenic, the biotech giant has been fighting tooth and nail to keep the public from knowing the truth about their products. Indeed, the efforts to which Monsanto has gone to keep the toxicity of glyphosate (and Roundup) under wraps is truly unmatched.
Hour 2 – You Want To Mix What With What?
Erectile dysfunction drugs and flu vaccine may work together to help immune system fight cancer after surgery A new study suggests that a common treatment for erectile dysfunction combined with the flu vaccine may be able to help the immune system mop up cancer cells left behind after surgery. The study, published in OncoImmunology, shows that this unconventional strategy can reduce the spread of cancer by more than 90 percent in a mouse model. It is now being evaluated in a world-first clinical trial. “Surgery is very effective in removing solid tumours,” said senior author Dr. Rebecca Auer, surgical oncologist and head of cancer research at The Ottawa Hospital and associate professor at the University of Ottawa. “However, we’re now realizing that, tragically, surgery can also suppress the immune system in a way that makes it easier for any remaining cancer cellsto persist and spread to other organs. Our research suggests that combining erectile dysfunction drugs with the flu vaccine may be able to block this phenomenon and help prevent cancer from coming back after surgery.”
Question of The Day!
Hello Robert and Paul,
I loved the show you did with Paul Barattiero and Hagen on the Qi-Me EMF protection. I found your interview with Dr. Magda Havas very interesting and wondered if you introduced her to the Qi-Me and what she thought about it? Will you have her on the show again to discuss the EMF issues and G5 and protections like Qi-Me or Qi-Home? Do you or Paul have any more testimonials of the Qi EMF protections?
Thank you for all you do. I love the show!
Opioid Epidemic? Government To The Rescue!
Congressional Bill Would Add 1,000 Doctors To Fight Opioid Addiction A bipartisan health bill in Congress is using the opioid crisis as a way to pay for doctor training and medical residency slots, an area of federal funding that hasn’t expanded in two decades. The Opioid Workforce Act would create 1,000 new “Medicare-supported” medical residency positions , training “new doctors in addiction medicine, addiction psychiatry or pain management,” U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, a Florida Democrat, said. The legislation also has backing from Republican Sen. Dean Heller of Nevada, U.S. House Reps. Joseph Crowley, a New York Democrat, and Rep. Ryan Costello, a Pennsylvania Republican. “This thoughtful bill would provide Medicare support for an additional 1,000 graduate medical education positions over the next five years in hospitals that have, or are in the process of establishing, accredited residency programs in addiction medicine, addiction psychiatry, or pain management,” said Dr. Darrell Kirch, president and CEO of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) in a statement.
FDA approves 1st nonopioid drug to ease withdrawal symptoms Federal regulators on Wednesday approved the first nonopioid treatment to ease withdrawal from quitting addictive opioids. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration expedited approval of Lucemyra to help combat the U.S. opioid epidemic. Two-thirds of drug overdose deaths in 2016 involved opioids, mostly fentanyl, heroin and prescription painkillers. The pill was approved to treat adults for up to two weeks for common withdrawal symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, muscle pain and agitation. It is not an addiction medicine but can be part of a longer-term treatment plan, according to the FDA. People going through detox are usually given a safer opioid medicine like methadone, which eases the cravings without an intense high. “The fear of experiencing withdrawal symptoms often prevents those suffering from opioid addiction from seeking help,” FDA Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb said in a statement.
Is FM Radio On It’s Way Out?
FM Radio stations face switch off as digital listening passes 50% milestone Analogue radios could be consigned to the dustbin of history after figures showed that the majority of all UK radio listening was via digital devices for the first time. The radio industry passed a milestone, with digital listening reaching a new record share of 50.9%, up from 47.2% a year ago, according to Rajar. The landmark will trigger a Government review into whether the analogue FM radio signal should be switched off altogether. Last year Norway became the first country to end national radio broadcasts on FM. The BBC said it would be “premature” to switch off the FM signal. It could cut off drivers with analogue car radios and disenfranchise older wireless listeners. Margot James, Digital minister, welcomed “an important milestone for radio”. She confirmed that the Government will “work closely with all partners – the BBC, commercial radio, (transmitter business) Arqiva, car manufacturers and listeners” before committing to a timetable for analogue switch-off.
