Sacred Fire of Liberty!
It’s that time of the week where we get to explore the political healing that this country needs so desperately! Jonathan Emord is here to help us dissect the latest political news that’s fit to print:
Consumers Petition FDA for Labels Instead of Raids Advocates for direct farm-to-consumer food rights, the Real Food Consumer Coalition (RFCC), have filed a petition with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). RFCC requests that the agency allow strong warning labels on raw milk products instead of hindering consumer access. Emord and Associates, filed the petition with the FDA on April 26, 2017. According to RFCC spokesperson, Liz Reitzig, “consumers want the right to choose unpasteurized milk and milk products after weighing the risks.” The proposed label would warn consumers to heat their raw milk so as to home pasteurize it, and thereby reduce the risk of illness from possible contamination.
Democrats, 39 percent, do indeed want to repeal Second Amendment Forget former U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens and his eyebrow-raising call for a repeal of the Second Amendment. Fully 21 percent of Americans think the same way. That’s according to a poll taken back in February by the Economist/YouGov. Founding Fathers warned that an uneducated citizenry would never be able to maintain a republic. Well, here we are. The findings show just how skewed our collective understanding of the Constitution has become. Blame public schools, the progressive-minded in politics, and parents who fail to take seriously their responsibilities of training the next generation in the proper way to go. The poll, reported in The Washington Post — in an opinion piece that slammed Stevens for presenting a view that was unhelpful to the gun control crowd, no less — showed this: A fifth of Americans supported a repeal of the Second Amendment. Only 8 percent of Republicans were on board with that — though perhaps the sentence should read, Good Lord, even 8 percent of supposed constitutionally minded Republicans saw a Second Amendment repeal as a sane idea. And here’s the skinny: 39 percent of Democrats supported repeal.
Pulse shooter originally planned to target Disney World Prosecutors revealed Wednesday that the man who carried out a deadly mass shooting at an Orlando, Fla., nightclub in 2016 originally planned to strike Disney World. Prosecutors alleged that the man, Omar Mateen, had intended to open fire at Disney Springs, a shopping and entertainment area, but was deterred from doing so after seeing police officers, NBC News reported. It was then that he chose instead to go to the nearby Pulse nightclub, where he killed 49 people, prosecutors said. “The target of that terrorist attack was not the Pulse nightclub,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Sara Sweeney said, according to NBC News. “The target of the attack was Disney.”
Hour 2 – Pay Attention To What You Are Eating
Glyphosate linked to kidney disease Prof. Channa Jayasumana, a leading academic who has done
extensive research into the kidney disease in Rajarata, speaks about Glyphosate and its impact on the spread of the disease. Also, he compares the disease pattern in Sri Lanka and India. Excerpts of the interview: How do you support your argument that this particular agro-chemical was responsible for kidney disorders? I have to emphasise Glyphosate is linked to disease but it is not the sole cause. For the first time in 2013, we produce epidemiological evidences to show glyphosate is associated with chronic kidney disease in agricultural communities. Our finding shows farmers who used glyphosate and paraquat (another weedicide which was banned in 2010) are prone to the disease five times more than those who are exposed to it. Then we found groundwater and food items contaminated with Glyphosate and residues. Thirdly, we detected glyphosate residues in these patients’ biological samples. Very recently, we found specific lesion in biopsy samples of these particular kidney patients. Glyphosate has been identified as one of the chemical, which produces such a lesion.
This Ought To End Well….
FDA to consider what ‘healthy’ means The Food and Drug Administration wants to make it easier for consumers to know whether the food they’re eating is good for them and encourage companies to make products that are more nutritious. The agency plans to explore what it means for food products to be considered healthy and may create an icon or symbol to label those that meet the possible new definition, Commissioner Scott Gottliebannounced Thursday in a speech at the National Food Policy Conference. In addition to implementing, Obama-era updates to nutrition labels, the FDA will also consider what health claims food products can make and how manufacturers can list ingredients. It also may make definitions of some foods more flexible and may reduce sodium.
You Might Want To Put That Menu Down…
The Science About Eating Out That Will Scare You Into Cooking Your Own Dinners Americans are increasingly putting their money where their mouth is—and eating out more than ever before. Back in 1970, Americans only spent 26 percent of all their food expenses at restaurants or cafeterias. In 2014, that number rose to 44 percent. Today, about half of the country reportedly “hates” cooking and more than half of total US food dollars is spent at restaurants, according to the US Department of Agriculture. Now, a new study published Wednesday in the journal Environment Internationalsuggests that Americans’ habit of eating out could be costing us more than a portion of our paychecks. It turns out, eating outside the home—at restaurants, fast-food joints, and cafeterias, including delivery and take-out—is correlated with higher body levels of phthalates, a ubiquitous class of chemicals linked to all sorts of ailments including reduced semen quality, diabetes, lower IQ, and cancer.
Questions of The Day!
#1
Hi, Robert! I’m 30 years old eat a mostly raw diet but am still dealing with candida. Can tell I have some sulfur build up (see it in eyes) white tongue. Light tinea versicolor (don’t even have any right now) am getting better but am gonna try aloe/silver 3 ounce/day of each split into 1:1 ounce doses. What diet do you recommend for vegans, raw vegans. I know high fat doesn’t work that well w fruit but am just curious what you have to say on diet front. I’m thinking of cutting fruit a little and increasing greens. Even steamed if I have to. I have done tons and tons of cleansing over the past 2 years and got tons of garbage out, mucoid plaque, parasites, candida, etc… I had amalgams removed a while ago and have detoxed heavy metals like a mad man over the past 2 years. I am truly feeling like a completely different person. And everything is good except for a little white tongue, slightly tight back on occasion, and some light tinea at times but not too often at all. It’s really just persistent white tongue. I also still see sulfur in bowels. Digestion is on point. Go to bathroom 4-6 times a day solid movement. Really feeling pretty good for cheating on diet here and there and letting loose at times. Just curious on diet. Can I still eat mainly all fruit first half of day ? Seems like I may need to cut it a bit. Do you allow any supplements other than minerals / b complex / antioxidants ? Like you I am focused on helping others but will do it another way through business without taking any profit.

Online Petitions: Activism or Slacktivism?
Stop Sharing Petitions – It Doesn’t Do Anything Perhaps one of the most effective means of
misdirecting the energy of activists and the public at large taken during the Obama administration was the creation of the White House petition site that guaranteed the White House would address any concern that could receive 100,000 signatures. Of course, the Obama administration routinely ignored many of those petitions and simply refused to listen to others that did reach the signature threshold but that didn’t stop activists from trying. Now, with the Trump administration, who has never agreed to such a policy, activists are still trying and it’s having even less of an effect.
