Thursday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
Sacred Fire of Liberty!
It’s that time of the week where we get to explore the political healing that this country needs so desperately! Jonathan Emord is here to help us dissect the latest political news that’s fit to print:
Trump says only ‘stupid people don’t want to get on better with Russia’ Donald Trump has said only “stupid people” don’t want to get along better with Russia. “If we got along with Russia, that would be a good thing not a bad thing”, he said during a working lunch with Baltic leaders. “And just about everybody agrees with that, except very stupid people.” While Mr Trump expelled 60 Russian diplomats last week, many still do not believe he is being tough enough on Vladimir Putin. On Tuesday, the president said that “probably nobody’s been tougher to Russia than Donald Trump.” This week, it was confirmed that Mr Trump in a recent phone call proposed a meeting with Mr Putin at the White House. Also during their conversation, Mr Trump congratulated Mr Putin on being re-elected, even though the Russian leader’s victory was never in doubt.
Trump not considered criminal target in Mueller’s Russia inquiry Special counsel Robert
Mueller has informed Donald Trump’s attorneys that the president is not currently considered a criminal target in the Russia investigation. That is according to a person familiar with the conversation, who said Trump is considered a subject of Mueller’s investigation – not a target. A subject is typically someone whose conduct is of interest to investigators but there’s not enough evidence to bring charges. The designation could change at any time, though. The development was first reported by the Washington Post. The person was not authorized to speak publicly about private conversations and demanded anonymity. The person said Mueller told Trump’s lawyers about his designation as prosecutors and the president’s legal team negotiate the terms of an interview with Trump.
YouTube Policies Led Woman to Target Its Offices in Shooting, Police Say Investigators on Wednesday said they believed YouTube’s policies had motivated a woman to shoot three people at the company’s headquarters in San Bruno, Calif., before killing herself. The attacker, identified as Nasim Najafi Aghdam, had been seen at a nearby shooting range before the attack, and a gun registered in her name was found at the scene. Ms. Aghdam, who was in her late 30s and had lived in Southern California, often discussed Persian culture, veganism and animal cruelty; performed music parodies; and gave exercise tutorials on YouTube and on her personal website.

Artificial intelligence taking over real estate — but what about the cookies? Title this, Real Estate Agent: What Job Not to Seek as a Career. That’s because artificial intelligence is steadily creeping into the sector, replacing humans with machines that allow buyers a faster, cheaper and — some would argue — stress-free way of finding that perfect home. Goodbye human touch? Could be. Look at this excerpt from a story on AI and the real estate sector, from CNBC: “Instead of hiring a real estate agent, Ron and Marilyn Hougardy essentially recruited a computer to sell their four-bedroom home in Thousand Oaks, California.” In so doing, they saved about 4 percent in commission payments.
David Hogg pushes Laura Ingraham boycott Anti-gun activist David Hogg spent much of
Wednesday evening trying to gin up an advertiser boycott against Fox News host Laura Ingraham. Her crime? Taunting him about his GPA and college admissions. Around mid-day Ms. Ingraham tweeted out a Daily Wire article about Mr. Hogg revealing that four colleges had turned down his application and commented that it was “totally predictable. “David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA…totally predictable given acceptance rates.)” she wrote.
