The Illusion of Consensus Science is the process by which we learn about the workings of material reality. Though modern innovations – built on the fruits of science – would look like magic to people living only decades ago, they result from the time-tested scientific method. Contrary perhaps to media portrayals of science, the scientific method depends not on the existence of a mythical consensus but rather on structured scientific debates. If there is a consensus, science challenges it with new hypotheses, experiments, logic, and critical thinking. Ironically, science advances because it believes it has never arrived; consensus is the hallmark of dead science. One of us is a college student with an unpremeditated career in alternative indie journalism. The other is a professor of health policy at Stanford University School of Medicine with an MD, a Ph.D. in economics, and decades of experience writing on infectious disease epidemiology. Despite the wealth of differences in our backgrounds and experiences, we converge on foundational scientific and ethical principles that public health authorities abandoned during the Covid pandemic. Principles like evidence-based medicine, informed consent, and the necessity of scientific debate serve as the bedrock on which the public can have confidence that science and public health work for the benefit of the people rather than regardless of it. The illusion of scientific consensus throughout the COVID-19 pandemic led to disastrous policies, with lockdowns the primary example. It was clear even on the eve of the lockdowns in 2020 that the economic dislocation caused by them would throw tens of millions worldwide into food insecurity and deep poverty, which has indeed come to pass.
Special Guest Dr. Janet Levatin
Dr. Janet Levatin graduated from the George Washington University in 1982, and completed a pediatric internship and residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1986. Since then she has provided holistic care for children and adults, first in Boston, MA, and for the past 11 years, in northeast Ohio. She is happy to be working at the Hyper Health Wellness Center, in Medina, OH, where she offers holistic health services for infants and children, including well baby and child physicals, and individualized treatment plans for a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions, usually without the use of pharmaceuticals. Dr. Janet’s treatment plans often include homeopathy, herbs, nutritional advice, nutrigenomics, and homeo-prophylaxis (a non-toxic alternative to conventional vaccines). She has spoken out about the toxicity of pharmaceuticals, including vaccines, for many years, and is passionate about true prevention and finding natural solutions for health problems whenever possible.

Chemicals Found in Common Disinfectants Linked to Asthma, Birth Defects and Infertility Disinfectants have had a moment since the COVID-19 pandemic began — and scientists are warning that this widespread use is spurring health problems, antimicrobial resistance and harming the environment. “It’s ironic that the chemicals we’re deploying in vain for one health crisis are actually fueling another,” Erica Hartmann, a co-author of a new study examining the dangers of disinfectants and an associate professor of civil and environmental engineering at Northwestern University, said in a statement. Hartmann and colleagues’ new study, published this week in Environmental Science & Technology, examines quaternary ammonium compounds, or quats, which are used in disinfectants and personal care products. They reviewed the existing environmental and human health science on quats, which have been used much more since the pandemic began, and found that the compounds are linked to asthma, dermatitis, inflammation, infertility, birth defects and other problems. They can also harm aquatic life and cause antimicrobial resistance, which can make drug-resistant viruses and bacteria. “Antimicrobial resistance was already contributing to millions of deaths per year before the pandemic,” Hartmann said. “Overzealous disinfection, especially with products containing [quats], threaten to make it worse.”
Hour 2 – Outside The Box With Ty Bollinger!
It’s time to go Outside The Box again with Ty Bollinger! What will we be talking about today?
British fertility regulator says handful of ‘three-parent’ babies born A handful of babies with the DNA of a man and two women have been born in Britain using a technique that aims to prevent parents from passing diseases on to their children. The Mitochondrial Donation Treatment program at Newcastle University has resulted in the birth of “less than five” babies the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority said Tuesday in response to a freedom of information request. HFEA refused to provide the actual number of babies over fears it “could lead to the identification of a person to whom the HFEA owes a duty of confidentiality,” while the university has a policy of not releasing any information regarding MDT births. MDT is an in vitro fertilization technique that transfers the nuclear genetic material from the carrier female’s egg into a donor woman’s egg from which the nuclear material has been removed leaving only the mitochondrial genes. The eggs are then fertilized with sperm to create healthy embryos free from the mutations their mothers carry. Mitochondria — “batteries” inside every cell that convert food into energy — are inherited solely from mothers and can result in abnormal mutations being passed onto all babies of a “carrier” woman. Mitochondrial disease affects about one in 6,000 children.
Report on Fluoride and Neurotoxicity Moves Closer to Final Publication The National Toxicology Program’s (NTP) draft report concluding high exposure to fluoride can reduce IQ in children last week took one more tentative step toward final publication when the NTP’s Board of Scientific Counselors (BSC) met and voted unanimously to accept its working group’s recommendations on the report. The BSC is an external committee whose members are appointed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services to advise the NTP. The working group was charged with evaluating the NTP’s response to external peer review and federal agency comments. The committee members recommended only minor changes to the report. The BSC working group review may be the final hurdle for this report, which the pro-fluoridation lobby and different actors within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) have tried for several years to water down or suppress. The NTP — which operates under the HHS’ National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) and is charged with researching and reporting on environmental toxins — conducted a six-year systematic review to assess scientific studies on fluoride exposure and potential neurodevelopmental and cognitive health effects in humans. The NTP’s report on fluoride neurotoxicity included a monograph and a meta-analysis of existing studies on fluoride’s neurotoxic effects. The monograph concluded that “higher fluoride exposure is consistently associated with lower IQ in children.’” The meta-analysis similarly concluded, “The consistency of the data supports an inverse association between fluoride exposure and children’s IQ.”
It’s 2023 and Patients Are Still Being Denied Medical Treatment Because of COVID-19 Vaccines The Epoch Times reported on April 23 the appalling case of a 41-year-old Georgia woman who has been rejected a kidney transplant, even though she is on dialysis and potentially facing death. The seriousness of her condition necessitates her undergoing dialysis three times per week to keep her life. The reason for such a rejection? The woman, who has already had COVID-19, refuses to receive the COVID-19 vaccine on religious and medical grounds. Regardless of her acquired natural immunity, Doe, a mother of seven young children, has not obtained an exemption from the COVID-19 vaccinations, although serious issues associated with vaccinating someone with mRNA inoculation was one of the primary bases of her medical objections. Similarly, here in Australia another mother has been denied the opportunity to receive a lifesaving organ transplant. Vicki Derdarian, a mother of three, suffered from heart failure in 2020 and is now in desperate need of a lifesaving heart transplant. And yet, she has been turned away by Alfred Hospital in Melbourne because of vaccine mandates that are still enforced by the government of Victoria. Believe it or not, the Australian mother actually has a permanent vaccine exemption provided by the Australian Technical Advisory Group (ATAGI), which the hospital is choosing to deny. “We’re being pushed in the corner and coerced to take something that goes against what we believe in or not receive lifesaving treatment,” she says.
Grilling up joint pain? Barbecues could be causing rheumatoid arthritis A recent study suggests that barbecuing could potentially increase the risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis due to the release of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). These particles, which are environmental pollutants, form during the combustion of substances like coal, oil, gas, and wood, as well as during the flame grilling of meat and other foods. Apart from being produced when food is grilled, PAHs can also originate from smoking tobacco. Upon inhalation, these chemicals enter the body. The study posits that exposure to PAHs may heighten the risk of rheumatoid arthritis, a chronic autoimmune disease where the immune system mistakenly attacks the cells lining the joints. Over time, this leads to damage to these cells, the cartilage, and nearby bone. Rheumatoid arthritis primarily affects the hands, wrists, and feet, causing joint pain, swelling, and stiffness. The exact cause of this condition remains unclear, but researchers believe it is a complex interplay of genetic factors, sex, age, and environmental factors, including smoking, nutrition, and lifestyle. Researchers seeking to identify potential risk factors for rheumatoid arthritis analyzed responses to the U.S. National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) collected between 2007 and 2016. They studied a variety of toxicants, including PAHs, PHTHTEs (chemicals used in manufacturing plastics and consumer products), and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) derived from paints, cleaning agents, and pesticides.
10 Reasons to Eat Organic (+ How to Spot the Fakers) Nutrition plays a crucial role in maintaining our overall health and well-being. With the modern food industry’s focus on efficiency and profit, many of the foods we consume daily are laden with harmful chemicals and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). These substances can negatively impact our health, making it more important than ever to choose organic foods free from chemical or genetic interference. In this article, we will discuss ten reasons why eating organic is essential and provide advice on spotting genuinely organic products amidst the sea of misleading labels. Conventionally grown fruits and vegetables are often treated with synthetic pesticides to protect crops from insects, diseases, and weeds. By choosing organic produce, you can significantly reduce your exposure to these harmful chemicals. Studies have shown that consuming organic foods leads to a lower concentration of pesticide residues in the body, decreasing the risk of pesticide-related health problems. Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are created by altering the DNA of plants and animals to exhibit desirable traits, such as resistance to pests or improved nutritional content. However, the long-term effects of consuming GMOs are still not fully understood. Choosing organic foods ensures that you are not consuming GMOs, as organic standards strictly prohibit their use in organic farming.
Comment of The Day!
Daniel from France and dental implants……..hey that….rhymed…..never mind.
I had 7 dental implants installed, unfortunately I didn’t know there even was an option for zirconium screws. So I have the titanium variety. Much to my dentists chagrin, I did not take the antibiotics or prescription ibuprofen. They said “You told us you took them” I said “I took them from the pharmacy to my house.”
Anyway my mitigation protocol was homeopathic arnica, staphysagria and symphytum.
I also included Silver hydrosol, 1:1 food grade hydrogen peroxide and water rinses. Therapeutic LED light. Also did a CDS rinse. It was a painful procedure, but I came out of it without any infections or major issues.
