Monday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
In defense of ‘ultra-processed’ foods Ultra-processed foods, a label coined in research by a Brazilian pediatrician, have been targeted as a menace to society for quite some time, mostly by environmental advocates and health professionals. For most consumers, the distinction between processed foods and ultra-processed foods is is a matter of individual perception. Many consumers recognize that ultra-processed foods contain additives and artificial ingredients, yet there’s confusion about processing, since all foods that are processed become associated. Few have dared to counter the argument that ultra-processed foods are bad for us, and the massive movement against them has clearly influenced public policy around the world. At home, for example, Canada’s Food Guide recommends staying away from ultra-processed foods.
Tetanus spores lie in wait for unvaccinated children Tetanus is caused by a neurotoxin called tetanospasmin produced by the anaerobic, spore-forming, gram-positive bacillus Clostridium tetani. Tetanospasmin prevents inhibitory synapses at the neuromuscular end plates, leading to severe skeletal muscle spasms and convulsions. The dormant spores are ubiquitous in soil and gastrointestinal tracts of mammals and can survive for months to years. The spores germinate and begin to produce the neurotoxin under favorable conditions, which include contaminated wounds due to traumatic injury, deep puncture wounds caused by dirty nails or animal bites, inappropriate umbilical cord care in the neonate or a foreign body.
Question of The Day!
Hello Dr Bell,
My daughter was diagnosed with being on the Tourette Syndrome spectrum. What natural remedies would you recommend for her Tics? And is there a correlation with vaccines and T.S.?
Thank you for all you do!
Genetically modified cows could cut methane emissions by 50% Cows that are genetically modified to produce less methane could have a major impact on climate change, a new study has found. Scientists discovered that methane-producing microbes in cow stomachs are actually inherited by cows and think that selective breeding of cows that produce less of the greenhouse gas could cut methane emissions down by 50%. Methane, which is produced by cows as they digest their food, is a far more potent greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide and therefore traps more heat. Greenhouse gases trap heat from the sun’s rays in the Earth’s atmosphere, and the thicker the layer of gas gets, the hotter the Earth will become.
Special Guest Rob MacCuspie, PhD!
Dr. MacCuspie is the Chief Science Office for Natural Immunogenics. He joined the company in 2015 and was responsible for creating their new state of the art laboratory. Dr. MacCuspie is uniquely qualified. He worked at the National Institute of Standards and Technology prior to joining Natural Immunogenics. There he researched nanotechnology and silver particle safety and applications. MacCuspie has published 33 publications, with focuses on nanomaterial environmental, health and safety and silver nanoparticles during his tenure at NIST. Dr. MacCuspie earned a B.S. in Chemistry and a B.S. in Molecular Biology and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida, and a Ph.D. in Nanotechnology and Materials Chemistry from The Graduate Center at the City University of New York, and was a National Research Council postdoctoral fellow at the Air Force Research Laboratory in Dayton, Ohio at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
Question of The Day!
Hi Robert, Thank you for your response! (By the way, you said it right – Pee-na :- ) If reaching out to Dr. MacCuspie is a possibility regarding sovereign silver and the brain, I’d be super grateful. I may have some infection within the brain and would love to know how best to address it with silver hydrosol. Also wondering if there is any research on silver’s impact on brain health and neuro-regeneration. Thanks tons.
With so much gratitude,
Addressing Sensational Health Claims People come together on Facebook to talk about, advocate for, and connect around things like nutrition, fitness and health issues. But in order to help people get accurate health information and the support they need, it’s imperative that we minimize health content that is sensational or misleading. In our ongoing efforts to improve the quality of information in News Feed, we consider ranking changes based on how they affect people, publishers and our community as a whole. We know that people don’t like posts that are sensational or spammy, and misleading health content is particularly bad for our community. So, last month we made two ranking updates to reduce (1) posts with exaggerated or sensational health claims and (2) posts attempting to sell products or services based on health-related claims.
