MEDICAL TYRANNY: Doctors ordered to refuse health care services to parents who opt out of childvaccinations Parents want to do what’s best for their children, especially when it comes to their health. For many, that means trusting their family doctor to lead them in the right direction — but when doctors receive benefits for pushing drugs and inoculations, that trust can easily be abused. Industry influence in medicine is so strong that doctors are now being encouraged to stop seeing patients who aren’t vaccinated. Health freedom is a growing concern for parents, especially as governments continue to push for mandatory vaccinations at every turn. What happened to autonomy and freedom? It seems these ideals have been sold up the river to Big Pharma and their ilk. In some areas, the reward to vaccinate is incredibly high. For every child that is fully vaccinated by age 2, insurance companies like Blue Cross Blue Shield are offering cash bonuses of up to $400. Research has shown that providing a cash incentive can bolster physicians’ vaccination rates by nearly 25 percent. The “first do no harm” mantra seems to have been eclipsed by a steady flow of cash from the corrupt health insurance industry (which is, in turn, influenced by pharma of course). As Natural Health 365 explains, these kinds of policies lead to an array of problems. In addition to general vaccine-pushing, doctors end up pressuring parents to accelerate their child’s vaccine schedule. Further, doctors may refuse to see patients who aren’t up-to-date with vaccines entirely, until the child and their parents meet their demands.
Parents who don’t vaccinate their kids to have support payments slashed Australia’s vaccination laws are set to become even stricter. From now on, parents who refuse to vaccinate their children will lose part of their fortnightly family support payment, Minister for Social Services Dan Tehan announced on Sunday. Under the Coalition’s No Jab, No Pay program, Family Tax Benefit Part A payments will be reduced by about $28 a fortnight for each unvaccinated child. “Immunisation is the safest way to protect children from vaccine-preventable diseases,” Tehan said in a statement. “Parents who don’t immunise their children are putting their own kids at risk as well as the children of other people.” The Turnbull Government provided more than $14 million towards free “catch-up” vaccinations in its 2017 budget. It also provided $5.5 million over three years to encourage Australian parents and carers to vaccinate their children. Exemptions have been allowed for children assessed to have natural immunity or for whom vaccinations may prove harmful. “Since the Turnbull Government introduced No Jab, No Pay in 2016 about 246,000 children and their families have taken action to ensure they meet the immunisation requirements,” Tehan said. “The change to No Jab, No Pay provides a constant reminder for parents to keep their children’s immunisation up to date.”
Just In Time For 4th of July!
Superbugs Found in Nearly 80 Percent of U.S. Supermarket Meat A new analysis offers alarming findings as many Americans get ready to fire up their grills for the 4th of July—nearly 80 percent of supermarket meat was found to have antibiotic-resistant bacteria, also known as superbugs. That’s according to the Environmental Working Group (EWG), which sifted through over 47,000 tests of bacteria on supermarket meat, including beef, chicken, pork, and turkey, undertaken by the National Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring System in 2015, the most recent year for which the data is available. “Consumers need to know about potential contamination of the meat they eat so they can be vigilant about food safety, especially when cooking for children, pregnant women, older adults or the immune-compromised,” said report author Dawn Undurraga, a nutritionist with the Washington, D.C.-based research and advocacy organization. The high levels, the report notes, call into question the effectiveness of the FDA’s 2013 guidance calling for reduction in the use of use of antibiotics to make livestock grow more quickly.
BOOM! Trump’s DOJ criminally charges 76 doctors, 23 pharmacists, 19 nurses raking in billions in medical fraud to push toxic drugs President Trump is draining the “medical swamp.” The U.S. health care system is plagued by rampant fraud, abuse and profiteering carried out by dishonest doctors and pharmacists. In working to combat the rampant fraud, the DOJ has announced an unprecedented crackdown on medical fraud, charging over 600 people with criminal activities that involved over $2 billion medical fraud. U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions delivered prepared remarks, saying, “This year we are charging 601 people, including 76 doctors, 23 pharmacists, 19 nurses, and other medical personnel with more than $2 billion in medical fraud. In this latest operation, with the help of our fabulous partners at HHS, we have charged another 162 people—including 32 doctors—with the illegal distribution of opioids. This is the most doctors, the most medical personnel, and the most fraud that the Department of Justice has ever taken on in any single law enforcement action. This is the most defendants we’ve ever charged with health care fraud. It’s also the most opioid-related fraud defendants we’ve ever charged in a single enforcement action.”
Juicing Marijuana for Health Reasons Juiced cannabis leaves are nutritionally dense and packed with nutrients. Across the world, juicing is gaining momentum. From pressing vegetables to juicing cannabis, the health benefits are many. Given what science has to say, it is not surprising that more and more patients, their caregivers, and their healthcare practitioners are recommending it in droves. The definition of a vegetable: “An herbaceous plant grown for an edible part, usually eaten as part of a meal.” Cannabis? Oh, yes! Generally, this refers to the root, flower, stem or leaf of an edible plant, any edible plant. Back in 1967, they changed the official definition of a vegetable to, “any plant cultivated for food, edible herb or root,” which is the same thing. You can eat some vegetables raw, but not all. Some you have to cook first in order for them to be edible. Still some you have to order through weed delivery.
Religion Could Slow or Stop Medical Marijuana in Oklahoma The problem with democracy in America is that we don’t really have one. We live in a republic, where we elect lawmakers to do the dirty and annoying work of shaping policies (and our society) for us. And, as the situations in the many states where voters have elected to legalize marijuana in some form or another, this is a problem for drug-policy reform — and can remain one, years after marijuana is legalized. In Oklahoma this week, 56 percent of voters approved a ballot measure legalizing medical marijuana. It was a long time coming — the detailed language voters finally signed off on was first submitted in 2016 — and it survived numerous bad-faith, top-down efforts to scotch it. Gamesmanship from former state Attorney General Scott Pruitt, now Donald Trump’s EPA Administrator, that would have rewritten the title in a misleading fashion backfired. And appeals from religious leaders and religious conservatives, who claimed that backers of legal cannabis were attempting to weaken the influence of the church and erode the power of God — no small deal in a Bible-friendly state like Oklahoma— also failed to sway voters.
Bible bombshell: Jesus used cannabis oil to perform ‘miracles’ JESUS used cannabis and was an early champion of its medicinal properties, a growing consensus of experts agree. And acceptance of this theory could help promote the controversial drug’s use in treating a range of illnesses. Cannabis historian, author and journalist David Bienenstock is one who believes cannabis oil even explains the “miracles” attributed to Jesus. Speaking exclusively to Daily Star Online, he said: “Historical records show that cannabis was widely available at the time – they would’ve known how to grow it and exploit its medicinal properties. “There is nothing different in the efficacious cannabis oil used today that wouldn’t have been available to people in Jesus’ time – it’s simply a matter of concentrating the cannabis into the oil and absorbing it through the skin.” Scholars even point to a cannabis oil recipe in Exodus 30: 22-25: “Take also for yourself the finest of spices: of flowing myrrh five hundred shekels, and of fragrant cinnamon half as much, two hundred and fifty, and of fragrant cane two hundred and fifty … it shall be a holy anointing oil.”
Hour 2 – Advanced Medicine with Dr. Rashid Buttar!
Dr. Buttar is back to talk about what’s happening in the world of health news. Here’s what we have in store for you today:
Reversing autism with a cancer drug Researchers may have found a promising new treatment for a genetic form of autism. Using experimental cancer drugs, scientists reversed the condition in mice. According to the most recent estimates, 1 in 59children in the United States have an autismspectrum disorder (ASD). Over 7 percent of these cases have been tied to chromosomal defects, suggesting that many of the impairments in social communication, movement, sensory perception, and behavior that characterize the syndrome are down to genes. Specifically, some people with ASD are missing a piece of their chromosome 16. Known as 16p11.2 deletion syndrome, this chromosomal defect often leads to neurodevelopmental disability and language skills impairment. Now, researchers may have found a way to reverse this genetic form of ASD. Scientists led by Prof. Riccardo Brambilla — of Cardiff University in the United Kingdom — used experimental drugs that were initially developed to treat cancer to restore normal brain function in mice with ASD-like symptoms.
Assessing antidepressant exposure during pregnancy and Autism-like behavior in mouse pups Maternal use of the antidepressant fluoxetine (Prozac) can alter the brain circuits in her offspring that control behaviors reminiscent of autism spectrum disorder, suggests a study in mice published in eNeuro. These results have no immediate bearing on the treatment of depression in pregnant women. Medications that increase availability of serotonin in the brain—selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs)—are commonly prescribed to treat mood disorders in pregnant women. Previous research in humans suggesting disruptions of the serotonin system in the risk of developing autism has motivated scientists to examine the influence of SSRI treatment during pregnancy on brain development. Susan Maloney, Joseph Dougherty and colleagues developed a rodent model of maternal SSRI exposure to investigate the effect of the drug alone, without any additional stress, on the development of autism-like behaviors in offspring. The researchers found that the pups of pregnant mice exposed to fluoxetine throughout the human equivalent of three trimesters and one year of nursing were the most vulnerable, developing social abnormalities as well as repetitive behavior patterns and hypersensitivity to touch reminiscent of autism.
The psychology of believing in free will From coffee table books and social media to popular science lectures, it seems it has has become increasing fashionable for neuroscientists, philosophers and other commentators to tell anyone that will listen that free will is a myth. But why is this debate relevant to anyone but a philosophy student keen to impress a potential date? Actually, a growing body of evidence from psychology suggests belief in free will matters enormously for our behaviour. It is also becoming clear that how we talk about free will affect whether we believe in it. In the lab, using deterministic arguments to undermine people’s belief in free will has led to a number of negative outcomes including increased cheating and aggression. It has also been linked to a reduction in helping behaviours and lowered feelings of gratitude. A recent study showed that it is possible to diminish people’s belief in free will by simply making them read a science article suggesting that everything is predetermined. This made the participants’ less willing to donate to charitable causes (compared to a control group). This was only observed in non-religious participants, however.
Up to half of childhood cancer survivors will develop hormone disorders The Endocrine Society today issued a Clinical Practice Guideline advising healthcare providers on how to diagnose and treat the endocrine disorders that affect a significant portion of childhood cancer survivors in the United States today. The guideline, titled “Hypothalamic-Pituitary and Growth Disorders in Survivors of Childhood Cancer: An Endocrine Society Clinical Practice Guideline,” was published online and will appear in the July 2018 print issue of The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism (JCEM), a publication of the Endocrine Society. Recent data shows that almost 50 percent of these survivors will develop an endocrine disorder over their lifetime. The guideline provides recommendations on how to diagnose and manage certain endocrine and growth disorders commonly found in childhood cancer survivors. Childhood cancer is relatively rare, and due to improvements in treatment and patient care, the current five-year survival rates exceed 80 percent. It’s estimated that by 2020, there will be half a million childhood cancer survivors in the United States. These survivors face a greater risk of developing serious medical complications, even decades after cancer treatment ends. Endocrine disorders are especially prevalent among this population, often as a result of their previous treatments, particularly exposure to radiation therapy.
