Thursday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
Sacred Fire of Liberty!
It’s that time of the week where we get to explore the political healing that this country needs so desperately! Jonathan Emord is back to help us dissect the latest political news that’s fit to print:
Senate passes $2.2T coronavirus aid plan, House votes Friday House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says the massive $2.2 trillion coronavirus economic relief bill approved by the Senate will pass the House on Friday with “strong bipartisan support.”Pelosi spoke to reporters at the Capitol on Thursday a day after the Senate unanimously approved the measure. The package comes to the House as fresh evidence emerges that the economy is in a recession. The government reported 3.3 million new weekly unemployment claims, four times the previous record.”We will have a victory tomorrow for America’s workers,” Pelosi said, praising the bill’s expansion of unemployment benefits. She encouraged companies battered by the pandemic to keep paying their workers, even those who are furloughed.“Tomorrow we’ll bring the bill to the floor,” she told reporters. “It will pass. It will pass with strong bipartisan support.”
Coronavirus bill provision that GOP critics warn could fuel layoffs likely to remain A provision in the $2 trillion coronavirus response package that Republican senators had warned could fuel layoffs looks likely to remain in the text — after an 11th-hour effort to remove it in the Senate was shot down.Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott, both of South Carolina, Ben Sasse of Nebraska, and Rick Scott of Florida flagged what they described as a “massive drafting error” that could have “devastating consequences.”SENATE OKS $2T CORONAVIRUS STIMULUS PACKAGE IN UNANIMOUS VOTE; HOUSE SETS FRIDAY VOTEThe concern is that the current version could pay workers more in unemployment benefits than they’re currently making, by adding a $600 per week payment on top of ordinary benefits that are calculated as a percentage of income. This could disrupt the labor market further, the lawmakers warned.“Unless this bill is fixed, there is a strong incentive for employees to be laid off instead of going to work. This isn’t an abstract, philosophical point — it’s an immediate, real-world problem,” Tim Scott, Sasse and Graham said in a statement.
Trump’s flipped his view on pharma companies thanks to COVID-19. Will the public? President Donald Trump recently referred to the pharma leaders he was meeting with about COVID-19 strategies as “geniuses.” But wasn’t it only a few years ago that he lashed out at them for “getting away with murder?”While the COVID-19 pandemic may have inspired a change of heart from the president when it comes to the industry, does the rest of America feel the same way? And if not, could this be a chance for pharma to turn the tide? After all, it was only a few months ago that pharma unseated the federal government for last place in an annual Gallup poll that asks Americans for their views on 25 industries—marking its worst finish in 20 years.
Americans get year reprieve on REAL ID deadline after coronavirus Americans will have an extra year to update their state-issued driver’s licenses and other official identification used to board an airplane under the Real ID Act, Homeland Security announced Thursday.President Trump had teased the decision earlier this week, saying coronavirus made the deadline untenable, but didn’t announced the length of the extension.Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf said Thursday the new deadline is Oct. 1, 2021 — a year later than the old deadline.States across the country have shuttered motor vehicle offices and some have issued remain-at-home orders, making it impossible for residents whose IDs are not in compliance with Real ID to update them.Only about a third of state-issued licenses or identification cards are considered compliant, and authorities were expecting a surge of folks over the next six months seeking to update their IDs.
Civil liberties hang in coronavirus balance The Justice Department, according to quiet reports in the media, just asked Congress for special emergency powers for chief judges that would allow them to detain people absent trial and indefinitely, over fears from coronavirus. Talk about squeamish.Specifically, the proposal, reported first by Politico, would allow judges the power to “pause court proceedings,” including those of “pre-arrest, post-arrest, pre-trial, trial and post-trial” in nature — a provision that would, in effect, allow for the indefinite holding of those individuals arrested for a crime. It’s times like these — times of national crisis, times of national coronavirus emergency — that civil rights, constitutional rights, God-given individual rights become most vulnerable, most tested. It’s times like these, though, they also become most necessary. It’s far too easy for government to justify times of crises as cause for trampling the Constitution. Similarly, it’s far too easy for citizens, in times of crises, to cede certain constitutional rights for the greater good — for the security of the nation, for the health and safety of the larger population.

Coronavirus Pt 1: How Soon We Forget – Same Playbook, Different Virus I have been sitting back, listening to and watching the crushing plan “they” have designed for us. I have been viewing this fiasco through the lens of history. I wrote this article to give you some perspective. I couldn’t help but think when this COVID19 blitz started, “How soon we forget…”Over the last three weeks, unless you have been cloistered in a monastery in Tibet, you have been bombarded with at least 2.1 billion media mentions regarding a new form of coronavirus that has spread rapidly around the world. As a comparison, when Ebola was in the news last year, it received a mere 16.3 million media mentions. The world economy has ground to a stop over the pandemic spread of coronavirus SARS-CoV2, the proper name for the virus. This name was chosen because the virus is genetically related to the coronavirus responsible for the SARS outbreak of 2003. Coronavirus disease 2019, or COVID-19, is the illness caused by the SARS-CoV2 virus. The two terms are used interchangeably but the words are not synonyms.
Questions of The Day

I have heard that taking baking soda on a daily basis is a good idea, do you agree? if so how does one take the baking soda-with food or on an empty stomach etc.-Bill
I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for Robert and Super Don. Although I am a new listener, you guys have been spreading the message of healing for a long time.I come to you with some urgency. I would like to know what exact protocols and “gameplan” I should implement in my life to help me eliminate my snoring at night. I feel very self-conscious when I sleep over at friends’ houses when it’s time to sleep.I would be eternally grateful-Jorge
After hearing your great conversation with dr Carolyn dean on her radio show this week I am wondering what kind of nebulizer will accept a (low potency) hydrosol solution ? Any and all ? The one I’m about to order says it accepts aerosols ? Any advice Thanks for your amazing work-Claire
Hi guys – just to share how extreme this virus situation has become, my sisters and I cannot visit our 92-year old Mom in her Memory Care facility. I learned today that she may be moving to hospice due to her deteriorating health, and that even in hospice we will be forbidden to visit her! Only in her impending death will we be allowed to visit her! I’m shocked and dismayed at the stupidity of it all! We cannot be with her when she needs us most! It hurts.-Nancy
I wish the RSB discount code could be used for CBD when I order it from Choose to be Healthy!
I would love to take advantage of the RSB30 discount at PlusCBD. But alas, they do not ship to PO Boxes, and that is my only option right now. Sad!-Brittany
Why do some people display mild or no symptoms at all and others suffer terribly? Does that mean the people with no or mild symptoms have super strong immune systems?? Also, why can’t they nebulize the silver or give it in an IV if it’s an antiviral?? Thank you for all your knowledge with everything you do!-Michelle
Hello RSB and family, called out of work today at the hospital due to very bad knee pain. Was listening to play back of yesterdays show and heard you comment on my comment. lol Sorry, to sound like I was complaining, love you and your message. Just real cranky due to having to wear the same mask at work for all my patients. Of course when dealing with the ventilators they do give you a stronger mask but still have to reuse. Administration more concerned with HOW YOU TIE YOUR GOWN THEN THE FACT YOU HAVE TO REUSE MASKS! If it wasn’t soooo sad it would be hysterical. Well, back to icing my knee and listening to the show. Much love and gratitude. Lori By the way, I’m wondering why you get the better mask when dealing with the ventilators which are closed system as opposed to a room where they are coughing all over the place. Lord help us all.-Lori
