Exclusive — Ship of Fools: 62 Percent of Biden Officials Who Handle Economic Policy Have Zero Years Business Experience Per Report An explosive new analysis published by the Committee to Unleash Prosperity reveals that Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration has very few business-oriented officials in the administration and that the vast majority of people handling economic policy for the United States government under Biden have no business experience whatsoever. The 15-page report, authored by economist Steve Moore and the Committee to Unleash Prosperity‘s executive director Jon Decker, was provided to Breitbart News exclusively ahead of its public release. The headline of the report is: “Not Ready for Prime Time Players: Majority of Biden Appointees have Zero Years of Business Experience.” The report analyzes the backgrounds of the “top 68 officials in the Biden administration, starting with the president himself, and including cabinet members, regulatory officials, and White House advisers.” In the executive summary, the authors detail some key findings in the report. First and foremost, 62 percent of Biden’s top political appointees and staffers “who deal with economic policy, regulation, commerce, energy and finance have virtually no business experience.” What’s more, only one out of eight Biden officials has what the authors deem “extensive business experience,” and the average level of business experience across the Biden administration is about 2.4 years. The median years of business experience among Biden’s top appointees is zero, since so few have any experience in the private sector, and the “vast majority of the Biden economic/commerce team members are professional politicians, lawyers, community organizers, lobbyists, or government employees.”
Biden admin: Docs must offer abortion if mom’s life at risk The Biden administration on Monday told hospitals that they “must” provide abortion services if the life of the mother is at risk, saying federal law on emergency treatment guidelines preempts state laws in jurisdictions that now ban the procedure without any exceptions following the Supreme Court’s decision to end a constitutional right to abortion. The Department of Health and Human Services cited requirements on medical facilities in the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act, or EMTALA. The law requires medical facilities to determine whether a person seeking treatment may be in labor or whether they face an emergency health situation — or one that could develop into an emergency — and to provide treatment. “If a physician believes that a pregnant patient presenting at an emergency department is experiencing an emergency medical condition as defined by EMTALA, and that abortion is the stabilizing treatment necessary to resolve that condition, the physician must provide that treatment,” the agency’s guidance states. “When a state law prohibits abortion and does not include an exception for the life of the pregnant person — or draws the exception more narrowly than EMTALA’s emergency medical condition definition — that state law is preempted.”
Judge Says It’s Legally Okay to Deny an Organ Transplant to the Unvaccinated As reported by the Westphalian Times’s Marie Oakes, Belzil filed his decision on Tuesday in a case concerning Annette Lewis, who was essentially given the choice of ‘comply or die’ after doctors changed the rules surrounding organ transplant waitlists to require being fully vaccinated. According to Lewis, a doctor “told me if I did not take the COVID-19 vaccine, I would not get the transplant, and if I did not get the transplant, I would die.” She added, “I ought to have the choice about what goes into my body, and a life-saving treatment cannot be denied to me because I chose not to take an experimental treatment for a condition — COVID-19 — which I do not have and which I may never have.” But judge Belzil disagreed, arguing that “her beliefs and desire to protect her bodily integrity [do not] entitle her to impact the rights of other patients or the integrity of the [transplant program] generally.” He ultimately ruled that the charter doesn’t apply to clinical treatment decisions and that Lewis’s rights, therefore, had not been violated. Lewis isn’t alone in her struggle either. As previously reported by The Counter Signal, hospitals and health networks across the country have chosen to deny the unvaccinated organ transplants even when prospective patients are healthy and have found a donor.
Axios: Democrats ‘The Party of Upscale Voters’ as GOP Embraces Working Class Democrats are quickly becoming “the party of upscale voters,” while Republicans set their sights on a populist “multiracial coalition of working-class voters,” Axios details. In a “seismic” political realignment, according to Axios ,which cited a New York Times/Siena College Poll, Democrats are now most favored by white college-educated Americans as Republicans are increasingly favored by the nation’s non-college-educated voters and Hispanic Americans. “Democrats are becoming the party of upscale voters concerned more about issues like gun control and abortion rights. Republicans are quietly building a multiracial coalition of working-class voters, with inflation as an accelerant,” Axios’s Mike Allen reports: Dems’ fortunes are bolstered by a slice of well-off socially liberal voters who disapprove of Biden’s performance — yet reliably support Democrats for other races. [Emphasis added] The realignment has become increasingly clear as former President Trump has massively bolstered the GOP’s support among working and middle class Americans with an economic nationalist agenda encompassing tighter labor markets, reshoring manufacturing, reducing immigration, and a restrained foreign policy. That agenda is hugely favored by a large bloc of the American electorate. In the first quarter, for example, Trump’s fundraising committee raked in $9 million from small-dollar donors who gave less than $200. Meanwhile, a much smaller share — just $1.8 million — came from donors who gave $500 or more to the committee.
June inflation hits 9.1%, highest in four decades The costs of gas, food and other necessities jumped in June, surging the inflation rate to a four-decade peak and giving American households no break from rising costs. Consumer prices soared 9.1% compared with a year earlier, the government said Wednesday, the biggest 12-month increase since 1981, and up from an 8.6% jump in May. On a monthly basis, prices rose 1.3% from May to June, another substantial increase, after prices had jumped 1% from April to May. University of San Diego economics professor Dan Roccato told NewsNation “Rush Hour” these inflation numbers were not surprising to see. “We expected this number to be bad and it has fulfilled our expectation,” Roccato said. “The only thing that’s surprising me is that theme parks are still crowded, airplanes are still sold out, but I expect consumers are going to start feeling the pinch and pulling back on those items as well.” The ongoing price increases underscore the brutal impact that inflation has inflicted on many families, with the costs of necessities, in particular, rising much faster than average incomes. Lower-income and Black and Hispanic Americans have been hit especially hard, because a disproportionate share of their income goes toward such essentials as housing, transportation and food. This jump in inflation in June “may cement the case” for the Federal Reserve to tighten policy, but traders might choose to “buy into the stance of peaking inflation” as oil prices fall, Yeap Jun Rong of IG said in a report.

Dr. Simone Gold Sentenced to Two Months in Prison A California doctor has been sentenced to two months in prison for being involved in the Jan. 6 breach of the Capitol and stepping inside the restricted premises along with her co-defendant John Strand. Dr. Simone Melissa Gold was initially charged with entering a restricted building or grounds, violent entry, and disorderly conduct, and arrested on Jan. 18, 2021. She spent two days in custody. On March 3, 2022, she pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charge of illegally entering the restricted building. Gold was sentenced June 16 to serve 60 days in jail, one year of supervised release, pay a $9,500 fine, and $500 restitution. Gold is the founder of America’s Frontline Doctors (AFLDS), a nonprofit that has spoken out against the emergency use authorization of COVID-19 vaccines and promoted the use of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine during the initial days of the pandemic. While inside the building, Gold delivered a speech through a megaphone to a crowd gathered in Statuary Hall, where she stated her opposition to the COVID-19 vaccine mandates and government-imposed lockdowns. Gold expressed regret for entry into the Capitol building in a Jan. 12 interview with The Washington Post. “During the same interview Strand stated that he was also inside the U.S. Capitol with Gold and was there to protect Gold,” according to an official statement. “I was misguided. I should not have entered,” Gold said. “Everything I did on January 6, misguided or not, was consistent with my effort to do my best for people.” She sounded emotional when she told Cooper that she was “shocked” the prosecutors believed she was not remorseful and did not intend to take part “in a situation that was so destructive to our nation.”
Plant-based BS! Half of Americans think living ‘healthy lifestyle’ would make them miserable Nearly half of Americans admit that following their idea of what a “healthy lifestyle” looks like would ultimately make them miserable (48%). A survey of 2,000 adults looked at the bad reputation sugar has and found that, similarly, 49 percent believe they have to give up parts of their lifestyle in order to be healthier. Nearly all of those respondents wish that wasn’t the case (89%). Results also showed that many people are still under the impression that eating healthy means eating food that doesn’t taste good but is good for their bodies (59%) and means mostly eating fruits or veggies (39%). Respondents shared that when they think of healthy lifestyles, ideas that come to mind are someone who knows information about what they’re consuming (43%) and exercises about four times a week. When it comes to being healthy, 55 percent are misled by the idea that they need to avoid sugar at all costs and 64 percent claim that they try to keep sugar out as much as possible to maintain that idea of being “healthy.” The data, gathered by OnePoll for ONE Brands, also found that although 68 percent believe they know exactly what belongs on a “healthy” plate of food, many missed the mark when putting their knowledge to the test. When it comes to what “eating healthy” looks like, the average person thinks a “healthy” plate is 27 percent protein, 19 percent grains, 17 percent fruits, 17 percent vegetables, 10 percent dairy, and 10 percent fats.
