Tuesday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
RSB is Back!
Special thanks to Pediatric Surgeon Dr. Mark Chaet for hosting the Robert Scott Bell Show tonight!
Irma has come and gone. As evacuated Floridians sit in bumper-to-bumper traffic to head home and face monumental cleanups throughout the state, Irma, though weakened, is still bringing wind and rain to the Southeast. Power is still out to many in Florida but the show must go on! How did RSB weather the storm? Did the sun hemp survive? We will find out.
Also – the 16th anniversary of 9/11 just passed as well. How has the world changed? We will discuss. President Trump marked the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks Monday with a pledge of support for the families of those killed that day. “Today our entire nation grieves with you and with every family of those 2,977 innocent souls who were murdered by terrorists 16 years ago,” Trump said Monday while speaking at a memorial ceremony at the Pentagon, the site of one of the attacks. “Though we can never erase your pain, or bring back those you lost, we can honor their sacrifice by pledging our resolve to do whatever we must to keep our people safe.”
Wisconsin to Be First State Ever to Nullify Federal Cannabis Prohibition Madison, WI – Yet another state is moving towards legalizing cannabis for medical and recreational use. However, Wisconsin is going about it in a most Constitutional way. The state of Wisconsin introduced a bill last week that would effectively nullify the federal prohibition of marijuana in the state.
According to the 10th Amendment Center:
“Rep. Melissa Sargent (D-Madison) and 17 co-sponsors introduced Assembly Bill 482 (AB482) on Aug. 24. The legislation would legalize marijuana under a tax-and-regulate system enforced at the state level similar to alcohol. Under the proposed law, a Wisconsin resident who is at least 21 could legally possess no more than two ounces of marijuana and a nonresident of Wisconsin who is at least 21 could possess no more than one-quarter ounce of marijuana. The legislation would also create a licensing structure for the cultivation, processing and sale of marijuana. Additionally, the bill would create a process for medical marijuana use.”
Vaccines – Still Armed and Dangerous
Government Issues First Report in 2017 on Vaccine Injuries and Deaths: 275 Injured 4 Dead from Flu Shot The federal government Advisory Commission on Childhood Vaccines (ACCV) under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services just concluded their first meeting of 2017 on September 8th. The Commission is supposed to meet quarterly, but missed their first two meetings this year (2017). Health Impact News sources have told us that the probable reason the Commission missed their March and June 2017 meetings was likely due to a lack of a quorum, as several member’s terms had expired, and new members of the Commission possibly had not yet been appointed under the Trump administration.
Does the Claim that Only 1 in a Million are Harmed by Vaccines Have Any Merit? Marco Caceres of The Vaccine Reaction takes a look at the government and pharmaceutical claims that vaccines are safe, and that adverse reactions to vaccines are only about 1 in a million. Is this a claim based on any facts? Or is it mainly just a statement of belief? The point that is often missed in this debate is that there is one thing that is NOT disputed, and that everyone agrees about: vaccines injure and kill people. If this were not the case, the U.S. Government would not have a special “Vaccine Court” that paid out millions of dollars of damages to victims of vaccine injuries and deaths.
If you’re drinking tap water, you’re probably drinking plastic; here’s why Billions of people are drinking water contaminated by microscopic plastic fibres. These are extremely small pieces of plastic that are turning up in the tap-water systems globally. The contamination is high in the US, Lebanon and India. According to a non-profit journalism group, Orb Media, an investigation found out 83% of the samples of tap water from over a dozen countries were contaminated. The US and Lebanon had the highest concentration with 94%, followed by New Delhi in India which had 82%, and Europe had 72%.
Did you miss Dr. Buttar yesterday? Have no fear – the doctor is in! Dr. Buttar joins us today to navigate the rocky terrain of the news cycle. Here’s what we have on tap for today’s hour 2:
Your old dental fillings probably contain mercury — are they dangerous? Dating back at least to the 1980s, experts have debated the safety of metal “amalgam” cavity fillings, which contain a mixture of metals like silver, copper, nickel and—most alarmingly—mercury. The American Dental Association (ADA) has long taken the position that mercury in these amalgam fillings is safe. “Amalgam is a valuable, viable and safe choice for dental patients,” according to a report from the ADA’s Council on Scientific Affairs.
Rise in religious exemptions from vaccines worry officials The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control has expressed concern over an increase in the number of religious exemptions claimed to avoid vaccinations. The Post & Courier of Charleston reports department data indicates the number of religious exemptions increased nearly 70 percent between 2013 and 2017, rising to 8,074 exemptions during the 2016-2017 school year. South Carolina does not allow parents to claim personal exemptions to avoid school vaccine rules, but children are allowed to attend public school if they qualify for a medical or religious exemption.
Suicide Data Incorrectly Reported in Drug Trials, Suit Claimed For many years GlaxoSmithKline and its predecessor, SmithKline Beecham, marketed Paxil as an antidepressant that would reduce the risk of suicide in depressed patients. The results of the company’s clinical trials, presented to the Food and Drug Administration in 1989, suggested Paxil was far safer than a placebo. Back then, the company reported that among nearly 3,000 patients treated with Paxil in the worldwide clinical trials, five committed suicide — a rate of about one in 600. By contrast, there were two suicides in a much smaller group of 554 patients randomly assigned to take a placebo pill — a rate of about one in 275, more than double that of the Paxil group. But documents made public in the course of the lawsuit filed against Glaxo by Wendy Dolin, who alleges that paroxetine, a generic form of Paxil, contributed to the suicide of her husband, Stewart, suggest an alternate view.
Aluminum salts in deodorants caused CANCER, and Switzerland may be the first nation in the world to BAN them Switzerland is slated to become the first country to ban deodorants that contain aluminum salts. This, following results of a 2016 study indicating that the toxic chemicals may play a role in breast cancer onset. The country’s National Councilvoted 126 to 58 in favor of approving a bill instructing the Federal Council to consider banning aluminum salts from being used in antiperspirant. The measure also urges that Federal Council to commission research that would prove a causal relationship between deodorant use and increased breast cancer risk.
Almost 650 girls needed medical intervention after HPV vaccine Almost 650 girls in Ireland reported requiring medical intervention or treatment after receiving the HPV vaccine, according to data collected by the State’s medicines watchdog. The Health Products Regulatory Authority has received 1,099 reports of adverse reactions and events associated with the use of the vaccine, but it said that this should not be taken as evidence of a causal link and that the benefits continue to outweigh the potential risks.
A new tool tells you how many years air pollution is stealing from you based on where you live Air pollution is the single largest environmental health risk humans face, according to the World Health Organization, but what does that mean for you? Researchers have put together a map based on new findings that show, depending on where you live, how many years of life that gritty air is stealing. In China, the “airpocalypse” is shortening the Chinese lifespan by more than three years, while in India, air pollution can cut a person’s lifespan by four years on average (and nearly a decade for someone in the capital New Delhi). Things aren’t looking good for the US either, if you live in California.
