Coughing tiger at the Bronx Zoo tests positive for coronavirus, a ‘first case of its kind’ in U.S. A tiger at the Bronx Zoo has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, becoming the first known animal in the United States to contract the virus, the zoo and federal officials said Sunday. The four-year-old Malayan tiger named Nadia was tested for covid-19 after she and several other lions and tigers came down with a dry cough starting March 27, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said in a statement. Officials believe that an asymptomatic zookeeper carrying the virus somehow transmitted the disease to the tiger while caring for the animals. The Wildlife Conservation Society, which runs the Bronx Zoo, said it wanted to test Nadia “out of an abundance of caution,” hoping to ensure “any knowledge we gain about COVID-19 will contribute to the world’s continuing understanding of this novel coronavirus.”Her test was confirmed positive at the USDA’s National Veterinary Services Laboratories, in what the agency described as “the first case of its kind.””Though they have experienced some decrease in appetite, the cats at the Bronx Zoo are otherwise doing well under veterinary care and are bright, alert, and interactive with their keepers,” the Wildlife Conservation Society said in a statement. “It is not known how this disease will develop in big cats since different species can react differently to novel infections, but we will continue to monitor them closely and anticipate full recoveries.”
Trump suggests hydroxychloroquine may protect against Covid-19. Researchers say there’s no evidence of that
President Donald Trump has twice tested negative for the coronavirus, but during a briefing at the White House on Saturday, he said he “may take” the drug hydroxychloroquine against Covid-19. He suggested it has protective effects against the novel coronavirus, although researchers say there’s no evidence of that.”I think people should [take hydroxychloroquine],” he told reporters at a White House press briefing on Saturday. “If it were me, in fact, I might do it anyway. I may take it … I have to ask my doctors about that. But I may take it.”Trump said lupus patients — who are often treated with hydroxychloroquine — seem less likely to contract Covid-19, and that “there’s a rumor out there” and “there’s a study out.””Maybe it’s true, maybe it’s not. Why don’t you investigate that?” he asked. At the briefing, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, said, “We don’t have any definitive information to be able to make any comment.” He also said the relationship between lupus and Covid-19 is currently under investigation.
Hydroxychloroquine rated ‘most effective’ coronavirus treatment, poll of doctors finds An international poll of thousands of doctors rated the Trump-touted anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine the best treatment for the novel coronavirus. Of the 6,227 physicians surveyed in 30 countries, 37 percent rated hydroxychloroquine the “most effective therapy” for combating the potentially deadly illness, according to the results released Thursday. The survey, conducted by the global health care polling company Sermo, also found that 23 percent of medical professionals had prescribed the drug in the US — far less than other countries. “Outside the US, hydroxychloroquine was equally used for diagnosed patients with mild to severe symptoms whereas in the US it was most commonly used for high risk diagnosed patients,” the survey found. The medicine was most widely used in Spain, where 72 percent of physicians said they had prescribed it. A debate about hydroxychloroquine was sparked two weeks ago after President Trump touted the drug as a possible “game-changer” in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, prompting critics to accuse him of peddling unproven, untested remedies. To date, “there is no evidence” that any medicine “can prevent or cure the disease,” according to the World Health Organization.
REBELLION: ‘This Is Not Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia Where You Are Asked For Your Papers!’ Says Maine Sheriff Maine’s Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols has a strong message for the Governor of Maine, Janet Mills, who issued “stay-at-home” orders with threats of police punishment if not followed. Sheriff Nichols issued a statement on the Franklin County Facebook page saying in no uncertain terms he will not follow the unconstitutional order.”We will not be setting up a Police State. PERIOD,” he wrote. “The Sheriff’s Office will not purposefully go out and stop vehicles because they are on the road or stop and ask why people are out and about. To do so puts our officers at risk. This is not Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia where you are asked for your papers!”The sheriff’s announcement comes as a welcome sign to Americans who have been arrested for inane things like praying outside, surfing, or trying to drive to work. Someone has to stand up to the unconstitutional directives that are being handed down daily by government officials and it will fall on the sheriffs to uphold what they know to be their legal and lawful duties, none of which involve trampling the rights of citizens.
Coronavirus: NJ Gov. Orders State Police To Commandeer Needed Medical Supplies Gov. Phil Murphy has given New Jersey State Police orders to take N95 masks, ventilators and other personal protective equipment that health care facilities need in their race to slow the spread of coronavirus. “While we look forward to these facilities cooperating with us and providing this equipment as needed, this order gives (police) the express authority to requisition it for distribution to our acute care hospitals and other healthcare facilities,” said Murphy in his daily COVID-19 briefing. “And needless to say, they badly need the equipment.”The order came as New Jersey saw deaths related to COVID-19 illness jumped 182 in 24-hours to a total of 537. By Thursday, New Jersey had a total of 25,590 confirmed coronavirus cases across the state, reports CBS2’s Cory James.Newark University Hospital EKG technician Kim King-Smith is among those now gone. Her family says her smile was “more infectious than the virus that took her life.”
A Texas City Mandates People Wear Masks in Public or Face $1,000 Fines Should you wear a mask during the coronavirus pandemic? The city of Laredo, Texas, has decided that yes, you do. And if you don’t wear one, they could fine you.The city’s emergency mandate, which went into effect on April 2, states that every person over the age of five must wear “some form of covering over their nose and mouth” when using public transportation, taxis, ride shares, pumping gas or when inside a building open to the public. That face covering can include a homemade mask, scarf, bandana or handkerchief. The penalty for violating the order is a Class C misdemeanor, punishable by a fine up to $1,000.The rule does not apply to people who are riding in “a personal vehicle,” who are alone in “a separate single space,” who are engaging in “permissible outside physical activity,” who are alone with their household members or who are eating food. It also doesn’t apply if when wearing a face covering poses a health, safety or security risk to the individual. Laredo’s mandate is reportedly the first in the U.S. to enforce the wearing of face coverings.
Question of the day:
You talk about it all the time, but how do I find the free chapter in your book?
Hello Robert,I appreciate all the good info you provide.
CBD oil is good to prevent seizures in autistic children with seizures, right? Could you please point to studies that might convince a traditional Nuerologist to try CBD oil instead of medications?Do you know any doctor who uses CBD oil for seizures in autistic children?

YouTube to reduce spread of videos falsely linking 5G to coronavirus YouTube will take steps to reduce the spread of videos falsely tying the spread of the novel coronavirus to fifth-generation wireless technologies (5G), a conspiracy theory that has gained traction in recent weeks in some parts of the internet An official for the video streaming giant told The Hill on Monday that it has started reducing how often such videos, or what they define as “borderline content,” show up in user recommendations. “We’re committed to providing timely and helpful information at this critical time, including raising authoritative content, reducing the spread of harmful misinformation and showing information panels, using data from WHO and other locally relevant authoritative organizations, to help combat misinformation,” the official said. “We have also begun reducing recommendations of borderline content such as conspiracy theories related to 5G and coronavirus, that could misinform users in harmful ways,” the person added. The theory that 5G somehow is responsible for the spread of coronavirus has been growing in popularity recently. The conspiracies took on more attention last week when people in the United Kingdom started torching and vandalizing 5G towers.
Question of The Day!
My family and I have listened to you for years, seen you speak in person, we just love ya! My family has also been to The Advanced Center of Medicine to be treated by Dr. Buttar. We have been following Dr. Buttar’s research video series on covd19 very closely; anticipating part 6. Seeing as that it is Monday, I though Dr. Buttar might be on your show tonight. I have a question for both you and him, actually. As I take in all the info Dr. B has so carefully and righteously presented to us on covd19 and the truth behind the pandemic, I ask myself what can I do? Number one is share the info. Number two, donate to a class action lawsuit. Number 3…? do you think starting an online petition against 5g and/or against mandating vaccines would have an effect? Perhaps it could be leverage in the lawsuit? I like to believe the people’s voice in this country is what the government works for, not vice versa.
Just a thought I wanted to hear your opinions on.
Many thanks and God bless,
Sara H 🙂
