Thursday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
Sacred Fire of Liberty!
It’s that time of the week where we get to explore the political healing that this country needs so desperately! Jonathan Emord is back to help us dissect the latest political news that’s fit to print:
Republicans Rejoice at Liz Cheney’s Leadership Ouster, ‘Na Na Na, Hey Hey, Goodbye’ Conservative and America First Republicans rejoiced at Rep. Liz Cheney’s (R-WY) leadership ouster Wednesday as an end to the “Bush-Cheney-McCain era.” “Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye Liz Cheney,” Rep. Madison Cawthorn tweeted shortly after the caucus vote. “Liz Cheney is so mad right now because this was a vote that her and fellow democrats couldn’t rig at 3 AM,” Travis, who has 4,755 followers, tweeted. A Townhall columnist wrote, “So she’s going to basically going to try to keep Trump as far away from the White House as the Cheneys keep away from the wars they send your kids to fight?” “Good riddance to the Bush-Cheney-McCain era of the Republican Party,’ Daniel B. Ravicher said. Michael Knowles tweeted, “Can’t believe the GOP ousted Liz Cheney even after she received the coveted OJ Simpson endorsement.”
Rand Paul: ‘Dr. Fauci Came to Congress Yesterday and Lied’ About Funding of Wuhan Lab Wednesday on Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom,” Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) sounded off on his hearing with National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Anthony Fauci from the day before regarding the origination of the coronavirus and whether American tax dollars supported research that could have led to the outbreak. Fauci asserted at the hearing that the National Institute of Health does not fund gain of research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, but Paul maintained the White House chief medical adviser is telling verifiable falsehoods. Host Bill Hemmer asked Paul what his theory is regarding the origination of the virus. “I would say we don’t know for certain, but I would say what Dr. Fauci said yesterday was verifiably false,” Paul responded. “He said no NIH money went to the Wuhan Institute for gain of function. Well, the main doctor there, the one they call the bat scientist or the bat woman. … She wrote a paper this MIT scientists have looked at they said was gain of function –meaning juicing up these viruses to make them very potent and infect humans. She wrote this paper and, in her paper, acknowledged her funding came from Dr. Fauci’s group, the NIAID which is part of NIH. So, he is verifiably telling you something that is not true.”
AOC criticizes Biden statement of support for Israel as siding with ‘occupation’ U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., criticized President Biden over his Wednesday statement of support for Israel amid escalating violence with Hamas, claiming he gave little context for what stoked the tensions and was consequently “siding with occupation.” Biden told reporters Israel has a right to defend itself “when you have thousands of rockets flying into your territory.” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted that Biden had failed to mention the pending evictions of dozens of Palestinians from their homes in East Jerusalem in favor of Israelis and the Israeli police raid of the Al-Aqsa mosque that left hundreds of worshippers hurt as an instigator to Hamas’ rocket attacks. She said statements that don’t recognize Israel’s role in the violence “dehumanize Palestinians & imply the US will look the other way at human rights violations. It’s wrong.” “By only stepping in to name Hamas’ actions – which are condemnable – & refusing to acknowledge the rights of Palestinians, Biden reinforces the false idea that Palestinians instigated this cycle of violence,” she wrote. “This is not neutral language. It takes a side – the side of occupation.”
Inflation Nation: Consumer Prices Jump 4.2 Percent Consumer prices jumped higher than expected in April, data from the Department of Labor showed Wednesday. The Consumer Price Index climbed 4.2 percent annually in April. Compared with March, prices rose 0.8 percent. The annual inflation figure is the largest increase since 2008. Economists had forecast a year-over-year gain of 3.6 percent and 0.2 percent for the month. Excluding food and energy, categories that can be volatile month-to-month, “core” CPI rose 0.9 percent compared with a month ago, three times faster than the estimate. On an annual basis, core prices are up 3.0 percent, above the 2.3 percent estimated. The inflation numbers came in so hot for April that they exceeded the top of the range of estimates of analysts surveyed by Econoday. The annual numbers may somewhat exaggerate inflationary pressures because of extremely weak numbers a year ago when the U.S. economy locked down in an attempt to contain the spread of covid. Officials at the Fed believe that this so-called “base effect” will last only a few months and that inflation will be transitory. Not all economists agree. The economy is recovering more quickly than anticipated and much of the spending from the $1.9 trillion stimulus bill passed in March has yet to hit the economy. Pent-up consumer demand, bolstered by excess savings and direct stimulus payments, could push prices up higher than Fed officials anticipate, some analysts have warned.
Poll: Nearly 2-in-3 Voters Say Joe Biden Is ‘Encouraging’ Illegal Immigration Close to 2-in-3 registered American voters say President Joe Biden is “encouraging” illegal immigration to the United States with a series of executive orders, memos, and decisions that are resulting in the mass release of border crossers into the nation’s interior. The latest Harvard/Harris poll reveals 65 percent of registered voters say Biden is encouraging illegal immigration to the U.S. while a minority of 35 percent say he is discouraging illegal immigration. Those who say Biden is encouraging illegal immigration include 68 percent of Hispanic voters, 65 percent of white Americans, 58 percent of black Americans, along with 63 percent to 67 percent across all voter age groups. Across party lines, registered voters by wide majorities are frank about Biden’s encouragement of illegal immigration. About 62 percent of Democrats, for example, say Biden is encouraging illegal immigration while 70 percent of Republicans and 64 percent of swing voters say the same. Immediately after taking office, Biden halted all border wall construction, implemented a series of “sanctuary country” orders to prevent most illegal aliens from being arrested and deported, and restarted the Catch and Release process by ending the “Remain in Mexico” program. While tens of thousands of border crossers continue to be released into the U.S. interior — many of which are flown into the interior via commercial flights — voters overwhelmingly oppose the policy.
The Authoritarians: Their Assault on Individual Liberty, the Constitution, and Free Enterprise from the 19th Century to the Present
Jonathan W. Emord is one of the nation’s foremost experts on constitutional and administrative law and has practiced before the federal courts and agencies for thirty-five years. In The Authoritarians, Emord reveals the untold story and largely hidden practices of Authoritarians who have worked inside the United States government to undermine the Constitution and override rights protections since the earliest days of the Progressive Era. Emord traces the intellectual origins of Authoritarianism to its Hegelian roots in Germany. He shows how legions of academics, trained to hate the American system of government, became predominant in the major universities of America, entered government as top advisors, and successfully orchestrated an overthrow of the Constitution’s limits on power which put the rights of individuals in jeopardy from the Progressive Era through the New Deal to today. In The Authoritarians, readers learn how Authoritarians endorsed forced sterilization of 60,000 American citizens whom they deemed “undesirable” and “unfit”. Readers also learn how Authoritarians selectively created monopolies and overcame the constitutional limits on government power the Founding Fathers put in the Constitution to prevent tyranny, thus ushering in the foundation for a socialist state.
In The Authoritarians, Emord reveals the lies told by advocates of the Black Lives Matter organization, Antifa, and the 1619 Project. He presents the startling fact that the first slaves in the Jamestown Colony in 1619 were not blacks, but whites and that in the antebellum South slave owners were not only white, but black. Readers also learn the inherent failings of socialism; the tremendous cost it imposes on human lives; and the grave threat to the survival and success of liberty and justice in America posed by Authoritarians such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Bernie Sanders, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Ed Markey, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris. The Authoritarians unveils a detailed strategy for restoring constitutional protection for individual rights and fending off the horrors of a socialist tidal wave now drenching America.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announces $1M lottery for vaccinated citizens Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has come up with an unorthodox incentive for Ohioans to get vaccinated. Starting next Wednesday, adults who have received at least one dose of the vaccine, and are at least 18 years old, may enter a lottery that will provide a $1 million prize each Wednesday for five weeks. DeWine, a Republican, said the pool of names for the drawing will come from the Ohio Secretary of State’s publicly available voter registration database. Those who are not in the database can sign up for the drawings on a separate webpage, DeWine said. In random drawings, the state will also provide five full four-year scholarships to an Ohio public university—including tuition, room-and-board, and books—to Ohioans under the age of 18 who have been vaccinated. The Ohio Lottery will conduct the drawings, and the money will come from existing federal pandemic relief dollars, DeWine said. DeWine acknowledged that many people might regard this incentive as a “waste of money,” but he argued that the “real waste” is a life lost to COVID-19 when the vaccine is “readily available to anyone who wants it.”
REMEMBERING NUREMBERG: IS HISTORY REPEATING ITSELF? In 1947, The Nuremberg Code was established. It was a tragic necessity after the world witnessed the abominable atrocities of criminal medical experimentation enacted upon people during World War II. IG Farben (later dissolved into Bayer, BASF and others), along with Germany’s Nazi party, brought untold horrors upon large numbers of people in the name of science, research and medicine. Post-World War II, the planet enacted moral and ethical guardrails – codes of conduct that codified a ‘Never Again’ high-water mark of human compassion. The Nuremberg Code laid out basic principles which must be observed in order to satisfy moral, ethical and legal concepts in the sphere of medical experimentation. It states: “The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential. This means that the person involved should have legal capacity to give consent; should be so situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, overreaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion; and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision.” Fast-forward to now. Fear has been purposely and malignantly amplified. A failed public health pandemic response, missing science and data from day one, has predictably led to confusion, widespread collateral damage and unnecessary suffering. A carrot-and-stick approach that some have called ‘a totalitarian tip-toe,” has been used to enroll the public into the world’s largest medical experiment.
Lockdowns Were a Mistake As People Move To Take Their Lives Back There are some points no one wants to be right about. For Dr. Jay Bhattacharya and Dr. Martin Kulldorff, the founding members of the Great Barrington Declaration along with Dr. Sunetra Gupta, warning of the devastating effects on short and long-term public health from lockdowns on October 4, 2020 continues to come to fruition. Over the weekend, Bhattacharya and Kulldorff wrote a piece in The Telegraph titled Lockdown proponents can’t escape the blame for the biggest public health fiasco in history. The narrative has crumbled. The self-aggrandizing public health officials who continually ignored the science in favor of a prolonged lockdown of society are now having to shoulder the blame for their failures. Rather than leave people alone and release restrictions, those same public health officials have decided to instead seek scapegoats to blame. “A year ago, there was no evidence that lockdowns would protect older high-risk people from Covid-19. Now there is evidence. They did not” write Bhattacharya and Kulldorff. Despite widespread, sustained global warnings to not implement lockdowns – and to end them early into their initiation – the damage from such measures continuing to unfold is almost unimaginable. The due continues: “The blame game for this fiasco is now in full swing. Some scientists, politicians, and journalists are complaining that people did not comply with the rules sufficiently. But blaming the public is disingenuous. Never in human history has the population sacrificed so much to comply with public health mandates.”
Is The American ‘Vaccine Passport’ Officially Dead?…For Now A centralized system to track the vaccinated by digitally identifying individuals based on whether they’ve taken an experimental product from a pharmaceutical company was a bad idea from the start. Far from benevolent, the primary stakeholders establishing a vaccine passport already had a dismal track record in the public eye when it comes to trustworthiness, fairness, freedoms and the law. Centralizing societal power in the hands of a Big Pharma/Big Tech/Big Government triumvirate would have likely turned out to be a historically foolish misstep for America and humanity. As states began in rapid succession to fight vaccine tracking and passports using executive orders and legislative means, the White House saw the writing on the wall and hit eject…fast. “The government is not now, nor will we be supporting a system that requires Americans to carry a credential. There will be no federal vaccinations database and no federal mandate requiring everyone to obtain a single vaccination credential,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters at a briefing. Embattled Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York were left hanging in the wind after implementing their vaccine passport system, before the ‘Great Reject’ began happening in other states and then culminating with the White House exiting the idea. Perhaps not fully trusting the Biden administration at its word, Republicans proposed a bill in the House of Representatives called the ‘No Vaccine Passport Act.’ Can’t get more obvious than that. The Washington Times writes, “If passed as written, the bill would prevent the federal government from issuing paperwork that private businesses could then check to confirm whether or not a potential customer has been vaccinated.” “Additionally, the bill would effectively ban members of Congress, such as its sponsors, from having to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to access the U.S. Capitol and adjacent office buildings.”
