Monday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
Dr. Fauci blasts critics after email dump, claims criticism of him is ‘anti-science’ Dr. Anthony Fauci responded to the controversy surrounding his emails Friday, denouncing renewed criticism of his job performance and pandemic-related decisions as “anti-science.” BuzzFeed News published more than 3,000 of Fauci’s work emails last week, which were obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request. The emails, according to Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), paint a “disturbing picture of Dr. Fauci, from the very beginning.” Supporters of Fauci, however, dismissed the email dump as a nothing-burger. Speaking with MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, Fauci claimed criticism of him is really a manifestation of anti-science attitudes. “What is the thread going through, what’s happening now, is very much an anti-science approach,” Fauci said. “I mean, it is what it is, I’m a public figure, I’m going to take the arrows and the swings, but they’re just, they’re fabricated.” “My job was to make a vaccine and use my institute and its talented scientists that we have there. And that we fund in the various universities to get a vaccine that was highly safe and highly effective. And we succeeded. That’s what I do,” Fauci continued. “All the other stuff is just a terrible, not-happy type of a distraction. But it’s all nonsense.”
‘Damning’ science shows COVID-19 likely engineered in lab: experts “Damning” science strongly suggests that COVID-19 is a man-made monster, optimized in a lab for maximum infectivity before hitting the outside to catastrophic effect, two experts said Sunday. Writing in an opinion piece for The Wall Street Journal, Dr. Steven Quay and Richard Muller pointed to two key pieces of evidence to support the claim, which has increasingly gained steam after long being derided as little more than speculation. The first relates to the nature of gain-of-function research, in which microbiologists tweak a virus’ genome to alter its properties, such as making it more transmissible or more lethal. Of the 36 possible genome pairings that can produce two arginine amino acids in a row — which results in boosting a virus’ lethality — the one most commonly used in gain-of-function research is CGG-CGG, or double CGG, wrote Quay and Muller. “The insertion sequence of choice is the double CGG,” wrote Quay, the founder of Atossa Therapeutics, and Muller, a former top scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, who now teaches physics at the University of California’s Berkeley campus. “That’s because it is readily available and convenient, and scientists have a great deal of experience inserting it,” they wrote. “An additional advantage of the double CGG sequence compared with the other 35 possible choices: It creates a useful beacon that permits the scientists to track the insertion in the laboratory.”
California county cuts COVID-19 death toll by 25% after finding some deaths ‘clearly not’ caused by virus A California county cut its COVID-19 death toll by around 25% after determining that some deaths were not a “direct result” of the virus. Alameda County revised the total number of deaths caused by the coronavirus to 1,223, down from 1,634. County officials decided to revise the numbers to align with the California Department of Public Health’s guidance on how to classify deaths. The county previously included deaths of anyone infected with the virus, regardless of whether COVID-19 was a direct or contributing cause of death. Neetu Balram, a spokesperson for Alameda County Public Health, said that some of the deaths “were clearly not caused by COVID,” the Los Angeles Times reported. “Obviously our definition was broader than the state’s,” Balram said, adding that the department had always planned to conduct an update “when cases and deaths stabilized.” The alternative causes of death were not provided.
Questions of The Day!
Aloha Dr. Bell
Mahalo for your contribution to the Advanced Medicine Conference. Your presentation was very encouraging. Would you share the Germ Theory slides with me? I’d like to share them with my team of health coaches. I feel this is the most important education we can give the world right now and you presented it so very well.
RSB: on one of your shows can you address this question– Why does the whole world (MSM) think you are protected if you get the Covid “vaccine?” All the real experts we listen to on shows like yours say that Covid can still be caught and transmitted by those inoculated. What does the scientific data say? Why does everyone in the media say you are protected if you get the shot? What are the facts? Are you protected or just less likely to suffer severe symptoms? Can you clear up some of the confusion?
71% of Democrats think healthy people should continue to stay home: poll A whopping 71 percent of Democrats in the United States want healthy people to stay home “as much as possible,” even as vaccinations soar and new coronavirus infections have plummeted, according to a new survey from Gallup. In contrast, 87 percent of Republicans surveyed and 64 percent of independents said it was time for people to start living normally after more than a year of pandemic shutdowns and working from home. The partisan divide continued for questions about how quickly respondents had jumped back into their normal routines. As of May 2021, 57 percent of Democrats said their lives had fully or somewhat returned to how it had been before the pandemic. That number was 77 percent for Republicans and 68 percent for independents. But in a bright spot, American optimism about the overall trajectory of the coronavirus situation in the United States reached a new high, with 84 percent of respondents saying things were getting better, while fears about contracting the virus reached a new low.
Children’s Health Defense Demands Immediate Suspension of Plans to Give COVID Vaccines to Children In light of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s emails released Wednesday, Children’s Health Defense (CHD) calls for health agencies to immediately halt the administration of COVID-19 vaccines to minors, whether in clinical trials or under Emergency Use Authorization. With a recovery rate of 99.997%, children are not at great risk of serious health consequences from COVID-19 infections — but they are at significant risk of adverse events from the vaccine. On May 19, Pfizer released a 37-page “fact sheet” of clinical trial data on its COVID-19 vaccine tested on children 12 and older. The date showed four out of five children in the trials suffered from mild to severe adverse events. Regardless of the severity of these adverse events, long-term effects on children’s health from this experimental vaccine are unknown. Emails released Wednesday prove Fauci knew the virus and pandemic would fade away without a vaccine, that masks do not work and that those who have recovered from infection have substantial immunity. Despite having this knowledge, Fauci insisted people, including children, wear masks and that those who had already had COVID be vaccinated. CHD demands federal and state agencies err on the side of caution, especially when it comes to our future: the world’s children. Immediate suspension of decisions regarding COVID vaccines for children is crucial.
COVID-19 Vaccine-Reluctant in U.S. Likely to Stay That Way Seventy-six percent of U.S. adults say they have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or plan to be, a number that has been stable over the past three months but is higher than in late 2020 and early 2021. As of the May 18-23 survey, 60% of U.S. adults report they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, 4% have been partially vaccinated, 12% plan to be vaccinated and 24% do not plan to be vaccinated. Among those not planning to be vaccinated, 78% say they are unlikely to reconsider their plans, including 51% who say they are “not likely at all” to change their mind and get vaccinated. That leaves one in five vaccine-reluctant adults open to reconsidering, with 2% saying they are very likely and 19% saying they are somewhat likely to change their mind and get vaccinated — equivalent to 5% of all U.S. adults. Last week, the Biden administration announced plans to increase efforts to achieve its goal of having 70% of adults at least partially vaccinated by the Fourth of July holiday. With 64% already vaccinated, that goal seems within reach if half of the 12% planning to get vaccinated follow through, even if none of those not planning to get vaccinated change their mind. The administration’s efforts include outreach to citizens, offers of free childcare, and incentives such as free air travel and free sports tickets. States are also trying creative approaches to encourage those who are reluctant to get vaccinated, including offering lottery prizes of varying amounts, savings bonds, free amusement park tickets and free hunting and fishing licenses.
Gluten-free generation: Number of children with celiac disease doubled over past 25 years The number of gluten intolerant children has doubled over the last 25 years, according to a new study. Children who suffer from celiac disease, one of the most common lifelong conditions in Europe, may not be getting the treatment they need because many have not been diagnosed, say scientists. People with celiac disease produce antibodies to gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley and rye, ingredients which are commonly used to make a variety of tasty foods such as bread, cakes, biscuits, pasta and some breakfast cereals. If they accidentally feast on gluten packed foods, these antibodies damage the gut lining and can lead to symptoms, including bloating, stomach pain, diarrhea and fatigue. It can also cause blood diseases, fertility problems and osteoporosis, if they do not follow a strict gluten-free diet. In children, the condition has also been linked to poor growth and can delay puberty. Now, researchers at Marche Polytechnic University in Ancona, Italy, have found the problem is much bigger than previously thought. “Our study showed that prevalence of celiac disease in schoolchildren has doubled over the past 25 years when compared to figures reported by our team in a similar school age group,” says study author Elena Lionetti, a professor at the university, in a statement. “Our sentiment is that there are more cases of celiac disease than in the past, and that we could not discover them without a screening strategy.”
California Assembly Passes Bill to Allow CBD in Food Despite FDA Prohibition On Monday, the California Assembly passed a bill that would authorize the legal sale of food and food additives containing CBD within the state, despite an ongoing FDA prohibition on the same. Asm. Cecilia Aguiar-Curry (D-Winters) filed Assembly Bill 45 (AB45) last December. The legislation would allow cannabinoids and other hemp extracts to be added to dietary supplements, food, beverages, cosmetics and pet food, despite FDA prohibition on the same. The bill declares that a dietary supplement, food, beverage, cosmetic, or pet food is not adulterated by the inclusion of industrial hemp or cannabinoids, extracts, or derivatives from industrial hemp as long as it meets state specifications. The enactment of this legislation would end state prohibition on the sale of CBD and CBD products based on federal law. This is crucial because despite removing the plant from the list of controlled substances, the federal government still prohibits the sale of CBD products in food under FDA rules. On June 1, the Assembly passed AB45 by a 64-9 vote with some technical amendments. In 2018, the California Department of Health declared that CBD-infused food, drink and dietary supplements is illegal, despite years of cannabis legalization within the state. According to the department, the state must follow federal law on CBD in food.“Although California currently allows the manufacturing and sales of cannabis products (including edibles), the use of industrial hemp as the source of CBD to be added to food products is prohibited. Until the FDA rules that industrial hemp-derived CBD oil and CBD products can be used as a food or California makes a determination that they are safe to use for human and animal consumption, CBD products are not an approved food, food ingredient, food additive, or dietary supplement.” [Emphasis added]
As Wood Prices Surge 400%, Hemp Homes Are Cheaper, More Efficient, and CO2 Negative This time last year, the price of lumber was $300 per thousand board feet. In only a year, the price has shot up over 400% to $1,686 for the same amount. According to the National Association of Home Builders, the surge in lumber prices has added nearly $39,000 to the price of an average new single-family new build home and about $13,000 to a multi-family home. According to experts on the matter, the surge in price is multifaceted and stems from a massive increase in demand coupled with a shortage in the labor supply. Tariffs on imports from Canada are also partially to blame as this is where the US gets a large portion of the lumber used in American homes. As experts see no end in sight to the skyrocketing prices, this is shining a new light on the world of industrial hemp construction materials. Hemp has the potential to be used in more than 25,000 products, including fibers, textiles, paper and construction and insulation materials, food and even fuel. However, because government is the antithesis to freedom, industrial hemp was previously banned nationwide since 1937 ostensibly due to the plant’s similarities to marijuana. Many have speculated that this move was also due to the fact that cannabis is in direct competition with the pharmaceutical industry by providing far safer alternative treatments as well as directly competing with the petrochemical industry. However, all this changed in December 2018 with the passage of the Agriculture Improvement act of 2018, legalizing industrial hemp on a national scale.
Twitter declares access to its platform a ‘human right’ amid censorship of conservatives Twitter declared a free and open Internet to be “an essential human right in modern society” Saturday morning after the Nigerian government banned access to the social media giant following a dispute with its president – even as critics say it suppresses conservative content and bans its own users. Twitter deleted a fiery tweet from President Muhammadu Buhari that many perceived as a veiled threat against violent separatists in the nation’s southeast – then his government’s information wing responded by banning the social media platform from the country. “The Federal Government has suspended, indefinitely, the operations of the microblogging and social networking service, Twitter, in Nigeria,” the country’s Federal Ministry of Information and Culture tweeted Friday night. Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, also announced that the government would begin licensing social media platforms and “OTT,” or over-the-top, operations, which offer content directly to viewers via the internet. “We are deeply concerned by the blocking of Twitter in Nigeria,” Twitter’s Public Policy division tweeted in response. “Access to the free and #OpenInternet is an essential human right in modern society. We will work to restore access for all those in Nigeria who rely on Twitter to communicate and connect with the world. #KeepitOn.”
