Friday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
Media trust and infection mitigating behaviours during the COVID-19 pandemic in the USA The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented public health crisis. It is becoming increasingly clear that people’s behavioural responses in the USA during this fast-changing pandemic are associated with their preferred media sources. The polarisation of US media has been reflected in politically motivated messaging around the coronavirus by some media outlets, such as Fox News. This resulted in different messaging around the risks of infection and behavioural changes necessary to mitigate that risk. This study determined if COVID-related behaviours differed according to trust in left-leaning or right-leaning media and how differences changed over the first several months of the pandemic. Results Results showed that compared with those who trust CNN more than Fox news, people who trust Fox News more than CNN engaged in fewer preventive behaviours and more risky behaviours related to COVID-19. Out of five preventive and five risky behaviours examined, people who trust Fox News more than CNN practised an average of 3.41 preventive behaviours and 1.25 risky behaviours, while those who trust CNN more than Fox News engaged in an average of 3.85 preventive and 0.94 risky behaviours, from late March to June. The difference between these two groups widened in the month of May (p≤0.01), even after controlling for access to professional information and overall diversity of information sources.
Fear of coronavirus deters strangers from performing CPR A new study has revealed that people are now less willing to give cardiopulmonary resuscitation, widely known as CPR, on individuals in cardiac arrest out of fear they may unwittingly catch the virus. A survey of 1,360 people across 26 countries were asked whether they would intervene if a stranger were dying in public, despite the pandemic. Compared to responses taken before the COVID-19 outbreak, 19.5% fewer people are currently willing to do mouth-to-mouth resuscitation; 14.3% fewer said they would perform chest compressions. The new research, published in Resuscitation Plus, was gathered after asking social media users to assess their current willingness to save a stranger’s life on a scale from 1 to 100. Questionnaires were conducted before and during the pandemic. Many fear to even approach a stranger, with the amount of people willing to ascertain breathing or a pulse down by 10.7%; the number of people who would use a defibrillator if available decreased by 4.8%.
Pelosi Says House Democrats Will Talk About The 25th Amendment Friday Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said at a press briefing Thursday that House Democrats will hold a discussion Friday of the 25th Amendment, which details the constitutional rules for presidential succession, as President Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean Conley, and members of the Trump administration face charges they have withheld important information about his illness with Covid-19. Pelosi did not say if she thinks it is time to invoke the 25th Amendment, which comes into play if the president is unable to conduct his “powers and duties” because of death, resignation or “inability,” but implied the impetus is the administration’s evasiveness about the president’s health. At the press conference, Pelosi asked Trump to disclose when he last tested negative for coronavirus and why his administration has not told Americans “that important fact about how this made a hotspot of the White House.” Pelosi is second in line to the presidency following Vice President Mike Pence.
Special Guest – Daniel Brigman
Daniel was born in the Northeast part of the country but his roots were deeply southern. He was raised in a little town outside of Atlanta. Was taught to fear God and spent a lot of times around his grandparents. Daniel’s grandparents had grew up in the depression and had passed the ethics of that generation down to him.Patriotism and self reliance were more than buzz words in his home. Daniel used his love of four founding fathers to write Forever 1776…a spiritual discovery into the heart of the American Revolution. When he got married the family’s self reliance took on greater significance. His wife Tristen and Him began to search out long term storable foods for their family. The disappointment in what they found encouraged them to start their own company. And that is how NuManna Food Storage was born.In the past Daniel has worked in the construction field. He has become well acquainted with the unsure footing of our economy and now invests his energies in developing NuManna Foods throughout the country to those who desire quality, healthy storable foods to prepare themselves and their families
The Big Tech Ministry of Hysteria is so totalitarian, not even the President of the United States is allowed to offer dignified hope during a pandemic Facebook and Twitter censorship is so totalitarian, not even the President of the United States can speak freely on the platform. On October 6, Donald Trump posted to social media: “Flu season is coming up! Many people every year, sometimes over 100,000, and despite the Vaccine, die from the Flu. Are we going to close down our Country? No, we have learned to live with it, just like we are learning to live with Covid, in most populations far less lethal!!!” The post was almost immediately removed by Facebook and flagged by Twitter. The social media monopolies warn that the President is “spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19.” Facebook and Twitter are now clear: The only information allowed online is covid panic. These monopolies are now the Ministry of Hysteria, only allowing information that incites fear. No dignified interpretation of data is allowed. No rational approach to overcoming infectious disease is permitted. Everyone is to remain in a state of fear and control, as personal liberties are lost all across the country.
UK govt ‘hasn’t yet seen’ desirable impact from local lockdowns, but is considering new curbs in northern England The UK government wants to be “more consistent” on localized restrictions amid the rise in coronavirus cases in the north of England, admitting that the current measures so far have not been sufficiently effective. With 14,162 people across the UK diagnosed with Covid-19 on Wednesday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to order new coronavirus curbs within days on pubs in northern England. The measures could include closing them altogether in Liverpool, Manchester, and Newcastle, after a surge in cases. Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick says the government is considering different options because the virus is rising, “in terms of the number of cases, quite significantly” in the north west, the north east and in a number of other cities such as Nottingham. Local lockdowns would have “flattened the curve” of infection rates in certain areas, the minister told Sky News. However, the measures have yet to bring about a desirable effect. “We haven’t yet seen the impact that we would like to have seen, and we understand that’s extremely frustrating to local people in those areas,” Jenrick said. But he added that if the government hadn’t imposed local lockdowns, then the rate of infection “would almost certainly be even higher.”
Facebook Says Users Can Wish For Trump’s Death By COVID So Long As They Don’t Tag Him Facebook’s notoriously strict and convoluted hate speech and Community Standards policies will allow users to post hopes, dreams, and wishes that President Donald Trump dies from COVID-19, as long as they don’t make the effort to deliberately search for his Facebook page and manually tag his account. Section 9 of Facebook’s Community Standards states, “We distinguish between public figures and private individuals because we want to allow discussion, which often includes critical commentary of people who are featured in the news or who have a large public audience. For public figures, we remove attacks that are severe as well as certain attacks where the public figure is directly tagged in the post or comment.” Facebook’s restrictions on “Calls for death, serious disease, epidemic disease, or disability” only apply to private individuals or public figures who are of minor age, meaning wishing death, serious disease and the other referenced attacks on adult public figures is not considered actionable by Facebook so long as the public figure’s account is not manually tagged in the post or comment.

Michigan extremists plotted to kidnap Gov. Whitmer, start civil war. Here’s why the state is a ‘hotbed’ for similar groups The Wolverine Watchmen, the Michigan group accused of plotting to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and others, is one of an estimated two to three dozen armed Michigan groups that some fear could pose a growing threat. Michigan has had a long history of groups of armed men and women, which are active in every state, according to Amy Cooter, a senior lecturer at Vanderbilt University, who has studied them for more than a dozen years. Modern armed groups, she said, date to the early 1990s as a response to perceived fears of tyrannical government. The state “has always been a hotbed for militia activity,” with a strong presence ever since the early 1990s, Cooter said. “The militias in Michigan have always been the kind to which other states’ militias look up to.” Thursday, law enforcement arrested 13 people, including seven members of the Wolverine Watchmen, which sparked a national conversation about domestic terrorism and the purpose of these private, loosely organized and armed organizations.
Michigan Governor Stripped of Power to Enforce Mandates – Why are the People of Michigan Still Obeying Her? Last week the Michigan Supreme Court struck down Governor Whitmer’s “legal” basis for practicing tyranny on the citizens of Michigan in the name of a “pandemic.” Justice Stephen J. Markman, on behalf of the majority in a 4-3 majority that fell along party lines, wrote:“We conclude that the Governor lacked the authority to declare a ‘state of emergency’ or a ‘state of disaster’ under the EMA after April 30, 2020, on the basis of the COVID-19 pandemic.Furthermore, we conclude that the EPGA is in violation of the Constitution of our state because it purports to delegate to the executive branch the legislative powers of state government– including its plenary police powers– and to allow the exercise of such powers indefinitely. As a consequence, the EPGA cannot continue to provide a basis for the Governor to exercise emergency powers.” Whitmer had extended the “emergency orders” which had been in place since April, until near the end of October, and probably had every intention of extending them indefinitely.
Michigan man wants mother’s death certificate changed after hospital listed COVID-19 despite negative test A West Michigan man is trying to make a change to his mother’s death certificate but says the doctor and hospital involved will not do it. His mother went into the hospital back in May, tested negative for the coronavirus, and then died a few days later. That’s why he’s questioning the word “COVID” appearing on her death certificate. “To me it’s not morally right,” said Pete Van Vugt, “it’s a moral question and it’s not morally right.” Van Vugt tells FOX 17 he’s not happy with Metro Health. His mother Esther, 91, had been living at Byron Center Manor for nearly six years. Esther, a former missionary who once lived in Nigeria, loved people and flowers. On May 21st she ended up in the hospital for breathing problems and then a few days later her doctor contacted the family. “He called us on Sunday night and said ‘your mom’s gonna pass away so you can come in with four of you now’ but with the COVID they normally wouldn’t let you in there,” said Van Vugt.
Questions of The Day
Last week you had a show on Vitamins C & D. I’d like to listen to it again and see the show notes. Where can I find this?
Hi Robert and Super Don,
I’m asking this question for my cat Jack. I believe he has diabetes. He has lost weight, drinks lots of water and urinates frequently. His back legs have also become very weak, making it hard for him to jump up on things. I was wondering if I could give him chromium to help level out his insulin levels? Do you know how much I would give him? He weighs around 15 lbs. Thanks,
P.S. Thanks for being a beacon of light during these dark times! Much love from BC Canada ❤️

Bill Gates on Track to Grow His Fortune Through Foundation’s Ties to Vaccine Makers A telling piece in The Nation this week reports some of the conflicts of interest the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation holds in the world’s quest for a COVID-19 vaccine. According to the article, the foundation’s investments in companies working to develop COVID-19 vaccines put Gates “in a position to potentially reap considerable financial gains from the COVID-19 pandemic.” The Nation cites the example of the foundation’s $40 million stake in CureVac, a German pharmaceutical company whose stock soared 400% after going public in August. A similar Nation article from earlier this year reported the Gates Foundation also holds corporate stocks and bonds in drug companies Merck, GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis and Sanofi, and the foundation gives these same companies charitable grants for projects like developing new drugs. AstraZeneca, the British pharmaceutical company that gained an exclusive license to control the COVID-19 vaccine produced by Oxford University research, is considered a frontrunner in the vaccine race. According to The Nation: “Gates himself described his foundation as intimately involved in the partnership between AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford.” Gates had the leverage to push the university … because the foundation is one of the founders and largest funders of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, which in turn funds the University of Oxford’s vaccine development (to the tune of some $384 million).”
