The Long Awaited Trump Physical Results – How Healthy Is He?
Aced it: Doc says Trump got perfect score on cognitive test President Donald Trump performed “exceedingly well” on a surprise cognitive screening test administered last week, his doctor said Tuesday, as the White Housecontinued to bat back questions about the president’s mental fitness for office. Navy doctor Ronny Jackson, who administered Trump’s first presidential physical last week, said Trump received a perfect score on a test designed to detect early signs of memory loss and other mild cognitive impairment. He also reported the 6-foot-3 president weighed in at 239 pounds — three pounds heavier than he was in September 2016, the last time Trump revealed his weight to the public. That number puts Trump on the cusp of — but just under — the obesity mark.
CNN: Trump ‘borderline obese’ – predicts heart attack in ‘3-5 years’ Despite President Trump’s positive health exam results, CNN simply won’t accept the White House doctor’s assessment. Pundits who have not examined Trump parsed the results and drew conclusions likely intended to scare viewers. Host Alisyn Camerota and medical analyst Sanji Gupta declared Trump to be “borderline obese,” predicted he would have a heart attack in “3-5 years” and Gupta concluded the president has heart disease. Camerota held back laughs over Trump’s height, which the exam found to be 6’3″. He had reportedly been 6’2″ in the past. “Somehow he has grown while being in the White House,” she snarked.

How About “I told You So”?
Breast cancer survival ‘unaffected by faulty gene’ Young breast cancer patients with faulty BRCA
genes have the same survival chances as those without, a study has found. The researchers, who looked at almost 3,000 women, also found outcomes were the same whatever kind of treatment women had – including mastectomies. Experts say it means women can take time to decide if the radical surgery is right for them.
Lonely? The UK Has A Solution…Sort Of
U.K. Appoints a Minister for Loneliness Since Britain voted to leave the European Union more than a year ago, Europeans have mockingly said that the decision will result in an isolated, lonely island nation. But Britain, in fact, already has a serious problem with loneliness, research has found. More than nine million people in the country often or always feel lonely, according to a 2017 report published by the Jo Cox Commission on Loneliness. The issue prompted Prime Minister Theresa May on Wednesday to appoint a minister for loneliness.
Hour 2 – Outside The Box With Ty Bollinger!
It’s time to go Outside The Box again with Ty Bollinger! What will we be talking about today?
Did America Get Fat by Listening to Government Experts? Starting in the late 1980s, the office of the U.S.Surgeon General took the lead in waging the federal government’s war on dietary fat. This led to years of recommendations and public information campaigns that, among other things, demonized animal protein sources (that often come along with a significant amount of fat) and steered Americans towards consumption of lots of low-fat carbohydrates instead—the base of the pyramid. Many Americas will remember the 1990s as the golden age of carbs.
The State with the Sickest Children has the Highest Vaccination Rates In a Daily Beast
opinion piece on December 15, Paul Offit—one of the vaccine industry’s most strident ambassadors—puzzles over a seeming contradiction. How, Offit wonders, could the state of Mississippi, which has “the worst overall health in the nation,” have used standout “efficiency” to achieve over 99.4% vaccine coverage in kindergartners? Rather than seriously investigate this apparent enigma, Offit presents his ready-made answer and reveals his article’s true purpose. According to Paul Offit, Mississippi’s high vaccination rates are due to the state’s 1979 decision to make the government—rather than parents—the primary vaccine decision-maker for children.
Violent Crime Has Dropped In Border States With Legal Cannabis: Study A new study suggests that legalized cannabis may already be reducing violence in states that border Mexico, where U.S.-bound drug trafficking has caused countless deaths and raised trillions for cartels. Published this month in The Economic Journal, the study “Is Legal Pot Crippling Mexican Drug Trafficking Organizations? The Effect of Medical Marijuana Laws on US Crime” examined the crime rates of states along the Mexican border in relation to states’ decisions to legalize cannabis for production and consumption.
What supplements do scientists use, and why? Supplements are a multi-billion dollar industry.
But, unlike pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers of these products don’t have to prove that their products are effective, only that they are safe – and that’s for new supplements only. We wanted to know which supplements are worth our attention (and money) so we asked six scientists – experts in everything from public health to exercise physiology – to name a supplement they take each day and why they take it. Here is what they said.
NHS to Offer Biological Men Cervical Cancer Smear to Avoid ‘Triggering Gender Dysphoria’ Biological women who legally define themselves as men will not be routinely scanned for breast and cervical cancer, even if they retain these organs and remain at risk, the National Health Service (NHS) has said. However, at the same time, biological men who regard themselves as women are being invited for cervical smear tests – even though it is impossible for them to have a cervix – an official guidebook states.
